1 Then came near the daughters of Zelophehad, son of Hepher, son of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh pertaining to the families of Manasseh, son of Joseph,these being the names of his daughters, Mahlah Noah and Hoglah and Milcah, and Tirzah.
1 E vieram as filhas de Zelofeade, filho de Héfer, filho de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés, das famílias de Manassés, filho de José; e estes são os nomes de suas filhas: Macla, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.
2 So they stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the assembly,at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying:
2 E se puseram diante de Moisés, e diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante dos príncipes e de toda a congregação, à porta do tabernáculo da congregação, dizendo:
3 Our father, died in the desert, although, he, was not among the assembly that conspired against Yahweh, in the assembly of Korah,but, in his own sin, died he; and sons, had he none.
3 Nosso pai morreu no deserto, e não estava na companhia dos que se juntaram contra o SENHOR na companhia de Corá; mas morreu no seu próprio pecado, e não teve filhos.
4 Wherefore should the name of our father be withdrawn out of the midst of his family, because he had no son? Give ye unto us a possession, ill the midst of the brethren of our father.
4 Por que deveria o nome de nosso pai ser retirado do meio da sua família, por não ter tido filho? Dá-nos, portanto, uma possessão entre os irmãos de nosso pai.
5 And Moses brought near their cause before Yahweh.
5 E Moisés levou a sua causa perante o SENHOR.
6 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
6 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
7 A right thing, are the daughters of Zelophehad speaking: Thou shalt, surely give, them a possession for an inheritance, in the midst of the brethren of their father,and shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass over unto them.
7 As filhas de Zelofeade falaram corretamente; certamente lhes darás possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai, e farás com que a herança de seu pai passe a elas.
8 And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying,When, any man, shall die, having no son, then shall ye cause his inheritance to pass over to his daughter.
8 E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Se morrer um homem que não teve filhos, então fareis com que a sua herança passe à sua filha.
9 And, if he hath no daughter, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his, brethren.
9 E se não tiver filha, então dareis a sua herança a seus irmãos.
10 And if he hath no brethren, then shall ye give his inheritance unto the brethren of his father.
10 E se não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai.
11 And, if his father hath no brethren, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his blood-relation that is near unto him of his family, and he shall possess it,So shall it serve the sons of Israel as a regulative statute, As Yahweh commanded Moses.
11 E se o seu pai não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança ao seu parente que lhe for mais próximo da sua família. E ele a possuirá. E isto será, para os filhos de Israel, um estatuto de justiça, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
12 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Go up into this mount of Abarim,and see, the and which I have given unto the son of Israel;
12 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Sobe este monte Abarim, e vê a terra que dei aos filhos de Israel.
13 And, when thou hast seen it, then shalt thou also be withdrawn unto thy kinsfolk,as Aaron thy brother was withdrawn;
13 E depois de tê-la visto, serás também recolhido ao teu povo, assim como foi recolhido o teu irmão, Arão.
14 because ye resisted my biddingin the desert of Zin when the assembly contended,that ye should hallow me regarding the waters, before their eyes,the same, were the waters of Meribah, of Kadesh in the desert of Zin.
14 Porque no deserto de Zim, na contenda da congregação, te rebelaste contra a minha ordem, para santificar-me nas águas diante dos seus olhos; estas são as águas de Meribá em Cades, no deserto de Zim.
15 Then spake Moses unto Yahweh saying:
15 E Moisés falou ao SENHOR, dizendo:
16 Let Yahweh, God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the assembly;
16 Que o SENHOR, o Deus dos espíritos de toda carne, ponha um homem sobre a congregação,
17 who may go out before them and who may come in before them, and who may take-them out and who may bring them in,that the assembly of Yahweh become not as sheep that have no shepherd.
17 que possa ir à frente deles, e que entre à frente deles, e que os faça sair, e que os faça entrar; para que a congregação do SENHOR não seja como ovelhas que não têm pastor.
18 And Yahweh said unto Moses: Take thee Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is spirit,then shalt thou lean thy hand upon him;
18 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Toma a Josué, filho de Num, um homem em quem está o Espírito, e põe a tua mão sobre ele.
19 and shalt cause him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the assembly,and shalt charge him before their eyes;
19 E coloca-o diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante de toda a congregação, e dá-lhe uma incumbência aos olhos deles,
20 and shalt put some of thine honour upon him,that all the assembly of the sons of Israel may hearken.
20 e porás sobre ele certa quantidade da tua honra, para que toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel lhe obedeça.
21 And, before Eleazar the priest, shall he stand, and shall ask by him for the decision of the Lights, before Yahweh,at the bidding thereof, shall they go out, and at the bidding thereof, shall they come inhe, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the assembly.
21 E ele se apresentará diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, que consultará por ele, segundo o juízo de Urim, perante o SENHOR; por meio da sua palavra eles sairão, e por meio da sua palavra eles entrarão, tanto ele como todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação.
22 And Moses did Yahweh commanded him,and took Joshua, and caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the assembly;
22 E Moisés fez como o SENHOR lhe ordenou; e tomou a Josué e o apresentou diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante de toda a congregação.
23 and leaned his hands upon him and charged him,As Yahweh spake by the hand of Moses.
23 E pôs as mãos sobre ele, e lhe deu uma incumbência, como o SENHOR ordenara, pela mão de Moisés.
