1 Then came near the daughters of Zelophehad, son of Hepher, son of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh pertaining to the families of Manasseh, son of Joseph,these being the names of his daughters, Mahlah Noah and Hoglah and Milcah, and Tirzah.
1 E chegaram as filhas de Zelofeade, filho de Hefer, filho de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés, entre as famílias de Manassés, filho de José; e estes são os nomes delas; Maalá, Noa, Hogla, Milca, e Tirza;
2 So they stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes, and all the assembly,at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying:
2 E apresentaram-se diante de Moisés, e diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante dos príncipes e de toda a congregação, à porta da tenda da congregação, dizendo:
3 Our father, died in the desert, although, he, was not among the assembly that conspired against Yahweh, in the assembly of Korah,but, in his own sin, died he; and sons, had he none.
3 Nosso pai morreu no deserto, e não estava entre os que se congregaram contra o Senhor no grupo de Coré; mas morreu no seu próprio pecado, e não teve filhos.
4 Wherefore should the name of our father be withdrawn out of the midst of his family, because he had no son? Give ye unto us a possession, ill the midst of the brethren of our father.
4 Por que se tiraria o nome de nosso pai do meio da sua família, porquanto não teve filhos? Dá-nos possessão entre os irmãos de nosso pai.
5 And Moses brought near their cause before Yahweh.
5 E Moisés levou a causa delas perante o Senhor.
6 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
6 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
7 A right thing, are the daughters of Zelophehad speaking: Thou shalt, surely give, them a possession for an inheritance, in the midst of the brethren of their father,and shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass over unto them.
7 As filhas de Zelofeade falam o que é justo; certamente lhes darás possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai; e a herança de seu pai farás passar a elas.
8 And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying,When, any man, shall die, having no son, then shall ye cause his inheritance to pass over to his daughter.
8 E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Quando alguém morrer e não tiver filho, então fareis passar a sua herança à sua filha.
9 And, if he hath no daughter, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his, brethren.
9 E, se não tiver filha, então a sua herança dareis a seus irmãos.
10 And if he hath no brethren, then shall ye give his inheritance unto the brethren of his father.
10 Porém, se não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai.
11 And, if his father hath no brethren, then shall ye give his inheritance unto his blood-relation that is near unto him of his family, and he shall possess it,So shall it serve the sons of Israel as a regulative statute, As Yahweh commanded Moses.
11 Se também seu pai não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança a seu parente, àquele que lhe for o mais chegado da sua família, para que a possua; isto aos filhos de Israel será por estatuto de direito, como o Senhor ordenou a Moisés.
12 And Yahweh said unto Moses, Go up into this mount of Abarim,and see, the and which I have given unto the son of Israel;
12 Depois disse o Senhor a Moisés: Sobe a este monte de Abarim, e vê a terra que tenho dado aos filhos de Israel.
13 And, when thou hast seen it, then shalt thou also be withdrawn unto thy kinsfolk,as Aaron thy brother was withdrawn;
13 E, tendo-a visto, então serás recolhido ao teu povo, assim como foi recolhido teu irmão Arão;
14 because ye resisted my biddingin the desert of Zin when the assembly contended,that ye should hallow me regarding the waters, before their eyes,the same, were the waters of Meribah, of Kadesh in the desert of Zin.
14 Porquanto, no deserto de Zim, na contenda da congregação, fostes rebeldes ao meu mandado de me santificar nas águas diante dos seus olhos (estas são as águas de Meribá de Cades, no deserto de Zim).
15 Then spake Moses unto Yahweh saying:
15 Então falou Moisés ao Senhor, dizendo:
16 Let Yahweh, God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the assembly;
16 O Senhor, Deus dos espíritos de toda a carne, ponha um homem sobre esta congregação,
17 who may go out before them and who may come in before them, and who may take-them out and who may bring them in,that the assembly of Yahweh become not as sheep that have no shepherd.
17 Que saia diante deles, e que entre diante deles, e que os faça sair, e que os faça entrar; para que a congregação do Senhor não seja como ovelhas que não têm pastor.
18 And Yahweh said unto Moses: Take thee Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is spirit,then shalt thou lean thy hand upon him;
18 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Toma a Josué, filho de Num, homem em quem há o Espírito, e impõe a tua mão sobre ele.
19 and shalt cause him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the assembly,and shalt charge him before their eyes;
19 E apresenta-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação, e dá-lhe as tuas ordens na presença deles.
20 and shalt put some of thine honour upon him,that all the assembly of the sons of Israel may hearken.
20 E põe sobre ele da tua glória, para que lhe obedeça toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.
21 And, before Eleazar the priest, shall he stand, and shall ask by him for the decision of the Lights, before Yahweh,at the bidding thereof, shall they go out, and at the bidding thereof, shall they come inhe, and all the sons of Israel with him, even all the assembly.
21 E apresentar-se-á perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, o qual por ele consultará, segundo o juízo de Urim, perante o Senhor; conforme a sua palavra sairão, e conforme a sua palavra entrarão, ele e todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação.
22 And Moses did Yahweh commanded him,and took Joshua, and caused him to stand before Eleazar the priest, and before all the assembly;
22 E fez Moisés como o Senhor lhe ordenara; porque tomou a Josué, e apresentou-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação;
23 and leaned his hands upon him and charged him,As Yahweh spake by the hand of Moses.
23 E sobre ele impôs as suas mãos, e lhe deu ordens, como o Senhor falara por intermédio de Moisés.
