1 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:
2 the following instructions for the people of Israel: »When you enter Canaan, the land I am giving you, these are the borders of your territory.
2 Dá ordem aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Quando entrardes na terra de Canaã, terra esta que vos há de cair em herança, por toda a sua extensão,
3 »The southern border will extend from the wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom. It will begin on the east at the southern end of the Dead Sea.
3 a banda do sul será desde o deserto de Zim, ao longo de Edom; e o limite do sul se estenderá da extremidade do Mar Salgado, para o oriente;
4 »It will turn southward toward Akrabbim Pass and continue on through Zin as far south as Kadesh Barnea. It will turn northwest to Hazar Addar and on to Azmon,
4 e este limite irá rodeando para o sul da subida de Acrabim, e continuará até Zim; e, saindo ao sul de Cades-Barnéia, seguirá para Hazar-Hadar, e continuará até Azmom;
5 where it will turn toward the valley at the border of Egypt and end at the Mediterranean.
5 e daí irá rodeando até o ribeiro do Egito, e terminará na praia do mar.
6 »The western border will be the Mediterranean Sea, it will be the western border.
6 Para o ocidente, o Mar Grande vos será por limite; o próprio mar será o vosso limite ocidental.
7 »The northern border will follow a line from the Mediterranean to Mount Hor
7 Este será o vosso limite setentrional: desde o Mar Grande marcareis para vós até o Monte Hor;
8 and from there to Hamath Pass. It will continue to Zedad
8 desde o monte Hor marcareis até a entrada de Hamate; daí ele se estenderá até Zedade;
9 and to Ziphron, and will end at Hazar Enan.
9 dali continuará até Zifrom, e irá terminar em Hazar-Enã. Este será o vosso limite setentrional.
10 »The eastern border will follow a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.
10 Marcareis o vosso limite oriental desde Hazar-Enã até Sefã;
11 »It will then go south to Harbel, east of Ain, and on to the hills on the eastern shore of Lake Galilee,
11 este limite descerá de Sefã até Ribla, ao oriente de Aim; depois irá descendo ao longo da borda do mar de Quinerete ao oriente;
12 then south along the Jordan River to the Dead Sea. These will be the four borders of your land.«
12 descerá ainda para o Jordão, e irá terminar no Mar Salgado. Esta será a vossa terra, segundo os seus limites em redor.
13 Moses said to the Israelites: »This is the land you will receive by drawing lots. This is the land that Jehovah has assigned to the nine and one-half tribes.
13 Moisés, pois, deu ordem aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Esta é a terra que herdareis por sortes, a qual o Senhor mandou que se desse às nove tribos e à meia tribo;
14 »The tribes of Reuben and Gad and the eastern half of Manasseh have received their property, divided according to their families,
14 porque a tribo dos filhos de Rúben, segundo as casas de seus pais, e a tribo dos filhos de Gade, segundo as casas de seus pais, como também a meia tribo de Manassés, já receberam a sua herança;
15 on the eastern side of the Jordan, opposite Jericho.«
15 isto é, duas tribos e meia já receberam a sua herança aquém do Jordão, na altura de Jericó, do lado oriental.
16 Jehovah said to Moses:
16 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:
17 »These are the names of the men who will divide the land for you: the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun.
17 Estes são os nomes dos homens que vos repartirão a terra por herança: Eleazar, o sacerdote, e Josué, filho de Num;
18 »You must also take one leader from each tribe to divide the land.
18 também tomareis de cada tribo um príncipe, para repartir a terra em herança.
19 These are their names: Caleb son of Jephunneh, from the tribe of Judah,
19 E estes são os nomes dos homens: Da tribo de Judá, Calebe, filho de Jefoné:
20 »Shemuel son of Ammihud, from the tribe of Simeon;
20 da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, Semuel, filho de Amiúde;
21 »Elidad son of Kislon, from the tribe of Benjamin;
21 da tribo de Benjamim, Elidá, filho de Quislom;
22 »Bukki son of Jogli, the leader of the tribe of Dan;
22 da tribo dos filhos de Dã o príncipe Buqui, filho de Jógli;
23 »Hanniel son of Ephod, the leader of the tribe of Manasseh;
23 dos filhos de José: da tribo dos filhos de Manassés o príncipe Haniel, filho de Éfode;
24 »Kemuel son of Shiphtan, the leader of the tribe of Ephraim; Manasseh and Ephraim are Joseph’s descendants.
24 da tribo dos filhos de Efraim o príncipe Quemuel, filho de Siftã;
25 »Elizaphan son of Parnach, the leader of the tribe of Zebulun;
25 da tribo dos filhos de Zebulom o príncipe Elizafã, filho de Parnaque;
26 »Paltiel son of Azzan, the leader of the tribe of Issachar;
26 da tribo dos filhos de Issacar o príncipe Paltiel, filho de Azã;
27 »Ahihud son of Shelomi, the leader of the tribe of Asher;
27 da tribo dos filhos de Aser o príncipe Aiúde, filho de Selômi;
28 »Pedahel son of Ammihud, the leader of the tribe of Naphtali.«
28 da tribo dos filhos de Naftali o príncipe Pedael, filho de Amiúde.
29 Jehovah commanded these men to divide Canaan for the Israelites.
29 Estes são aqueles a quem o Senhor ordenou que repartissem a herança pelos filhos de Israel na terra de Canaã.
