1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:
2 Command the sons of Israel, that they send forth out of the camp, every leper, and every one that hath a flux,and every one that is unclean by the dead:
2 "Ordene aos israelitas que mandem para fora do acampamento todo aquele que tiver lepra, ou que tiver um fluxo, ou que se tornar impuro por tocar um cadáver.
3 whether male or female, ye shall send them forth, unto the outside of the camp, shall ye send them,that they make not their camps unclean, in the midst whereof, I, have my habitation.
3 Mande-os para fora do acampamento tanto homens como mulheres, para que não contaminem o seu próprio acampamento, onde habito entre eles".
4 And the sons of Israel did so, and sent them forth unto the outside of the camp,as Yahweh spake unto Moses, so, did the sons of Israel.
4 Os israelitas assim fizeram e os mandaram para fora do acampamento, como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
5 And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
5 E o Senhor disse a Moisés:
6 Speak unto the sons of Israel: When any man or woman, shall do aught of an human sin, in acting unfaithfully against Yahweh,and that person shall become aware of his guilt,
6 "Diga aos israelitas: Quando um homem ou uma mulher prejudicar outra pessoa e, portanto, ofender ao Senhor, será culpado.
7 then shall they confess their sin which they have done, and he shall make good that wherein he is guilty, in the principal thereof, and the fifth part thereof, shall he add thereunto,and give to him against whom he is guilty,
7 Confessará o pecado que cometeu, fará restituição total, acrescentará um quinto a esse valor e entregará tudo isso a quem ele prejudicou.
8 But if one have no kinsman unto whom he may make goad that wherein he is guilty, then that wherein he is guilty, which is to he restored to Yahweh, shall be the priests,besides the ram of propitiation, wherewith a propitiatory-covering is to be put over him.
8 Mas, se o prejudicado não tiver nenhum parente próximo para receber a restituição, esta pertencerá ao Senhor e será entregue ao sacerdote, juntamente com o carneiro com o qual se faz propiciação pelo culpado.
9 And every heave-offering, of all the hallowed things of the sons of Israel which they bring near to the priest, unto him, shall it belong.
9 Todas as contribuições, ou seja, todas as dádivas sagradas que os israelitas trouxerem ao sacerdote, pertencerão a ele.
10 And, every mans hallowed things, shall be, his own,what any man giveth to the priest, shall be his.
10 As dádivas sagradas de cada pessoa pertencem a ela, mas o que ela der ao sacerdote pertencerá ao sacerdote".
11 And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
11 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:
12 Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them,When any mans wife, shall turn aside, and commit against him an act of unfaithfulness;
12 "Diga o seguinte aos israelitas: Se a mulher de alguém se desviar e lhe for infiel,
13 and a man shall lie with her carnally, and it shall be concealed from the eyes of her husband and he kept close but, she, hath committed uncleanness,though witness, there is none against her, and she, hath not been caught;
13 e outro homem deitar-se com ela, e isso estiver oculto de seu marido, e a impureza dela não for descoberta, por não haver testemunha contra ela nem tiver ela sido pega no ato;
14 but there shall pass over him a spirit of jealousy, and he shall become jealous of his wife, she having committed uncleanness,or there shall pass over him a spirit of jealousy, and he shall become jealous of his wife, she not, having committed uncleanness,
14 e se o marido dela tiver ciúmes e suspeitar de sua mulher, esteja ela pura ou impura,
15 then shall the man bring in his wife unto the priest, and shall bring in her offering for her, the tenth of an ephah of the meal of barley,he shall not pour thereon oil, nor put thereon frankincense, for a jealousy gift, it is, a reminding gift bringing to mind iniquity.
15 ele a levará ao sacerdote, com uma oferta de um jarro de farinha de cevada em favor dela. Não derramará azeite nem porá incenso sobre a farinha, porque é uma oferta de cereal pelo ciúme, para que se revele a verdade sobre o pecado.
16 Then shall the priest bring her near,and cause her to stand before Yahweh;
16 "O sacerdote trará a mulher e a colocará perante o Senhor.
17 and the priest shall take hallowed water in an earthen vessel,and of the dust which shall be upon the floor of the habitation, shall the priest take, and put into the water;
17 Então apanhará um pouco de água sagrada num jarro de barro e colocará na água um pouco do pó do chão do tabernáculo.
18 and the priest shall cause the woman to stand before Yahweh, and shall bare the head of the woman, and shall place upon her hands the reminding gift, it being a jealousy gift,and in the hand of the priest, shall be the deadly water that bringeth a curse;
18 Depois de colocar a mulher perante o Senhor, o sacerdote soltará o cabelo dela e porá nas mãos dela a oferta memorial, a oferta pelo ciúme, enquanto ele mesmo terá em sua mão a água amarga que traz maldição.
19 and the priest shall put her on oath and shall say unto the woman:If no man hath lain with thee, and if thou hast not turned aside in uncleanness, instead of thy husband, be thou clear from this deadly water that causeth a curse.
19 Então o sacerdote fará a mulher jurar e lhe dirá: Se nenhum outro homem se deitou com você e se você não foi infiel nem se tornou impura enquanto casada, que esta água amarga que traz maldição não lhe faça mal.
20 But, if, thou, hast turned aside, instead of thy husband and if thou hast made thyself unclean,in that a man hath known thee carnally, other than thy husband,
20 Mas, se você foi infiel enquanto casada e se contaminou por ter se deitado com um homem que não é seu marido —
21 then shall the priest put the woman on oath with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, Yahweh give thee up for a curse and for an oath in the midst of thy people,in that Yahweh shall give up thy thigh to fall away, and thy womb to swell:
21 então o sacerdote fará a mulher pronunciar este juramento com maldição — que o Senhor faça de você objeto de maldição e de desprezo no meio do povo fazendo que a sua barriga inche e que você jamais tenha filhos.
22 so shall this water that causeth a curse enter into thy body, causing womb to swell and thigh to fall away. And the woman shall say, Amen, Amen.
22 Que esta água que traz maldição entre em seu corpo, inche a sua barriga e a impeça de ter filhos. "Então a mulher dirá: ‘Amém. Assim seja’.
23 Then shall the priest write these curses in a scroll,and wipe them out into the deadly water;
23 "O sacerdote escreverá essas maldições num documento e depois as lavará na água amarga.
24 and shall cause the woman to drink the deadly water that causeth a curse,and the deadly water that causeth a curse shall enter into her.
24 Ele a fará beber a água amarga que traz maldição, e essa água entrará nela, causando-lhe amargo sofrimento.
25 Then shall the priest take from the hand of the woman the jealousy meal-offering,and shall wave the meal-offering before Yahweh, and bring it near unto the altar;
25 O sacerdote apanhará das mãos dela a oferta de cereal pelo ciúme, a moverá ritualmente perante o Senhor e a trará ao altar.
26 and the priest shall take a handful from the meal-offering, a remembrancer thereof, and make a perfume at the altar,and afterwards, shall cause the woman to drink the water.
26 Então apanhará um punhado da oferta de cereal como oferta memorial e a queimará sobre o altar; depois disso fará a mulher beber a água.
27 And as soon as he causeth her to drink, the water, then shall it be, that, if she have fallen into uncleanness and committed unfaithfulness against her husband, as soon as the deadly water that causeth a curse hath entered into her, so soon shall her womb swell and her thigh fall away,thus shall the woman be-come a curse in the midst of her people.
27 Se ela houver se contaminado, sendo infiel ao seu marido, quando o sacerdote fizer que ela beba a água que traz maldição, essa água entrará nela e causará um amargo sofrimento; sua barriga inchará e ela, incapaz de ter filhos, se tornará objeto de maldição entre o seu povo.
28 But, if the woman have not fallen into uncleanness, but is pure, then shall she be clear and shall bear seed.
28 Se, porém, a mulher não houver se contaminado, mas estiver pura, não sofrerá punição e será capaz de ter filhos.
29 This, is the law of jealousies,when a wife shall turn aside instead of her husband, and fall into uncleanness;
29 "Esse é, pois, o ritual quanto ao ciúme, quando uma mulher for infiel e se contaminar enquanto casada,
30 or when there passeth over, a husband, a spirit of jealousy, and he becometh jealous of his wife, then shall he cause the woman to stand before Yahweh, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law:
30 ou quando o ciúme se apoderar de um homem porque suspeita de sua mulher. O sacerdote a colocará perante o Senhor e a fará passar por todo esse ritual.
31 thus shall the man be clear of iniquity; but that woman, shall bear her iniquity.
31 Se a suspeita não se confirmar, o marido estará inocente, do contrário a mulher sofrerá as conseqüências da sua iniqüidade".
