1 This is a list of all the places where the Israelites set up camp after they left Egypt in organized groups under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

2 Jehovah command Moses to wrote down the places where they went as they traveled. This is the list:

3 They moved from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. The Israelites boldly left in full view of all the Egyptians.
3 Os israelitas partiram da cidade de Ramessés no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês, na manhã seguinte à primeira celebração da Páscoa. Partiram triunfantemente, à vista de todos os egípcios.
4 The Egyptians buried all their firstborn sons, whom Jehovah had killed in a mighty act of judgment on their gods.
4 Enquanto isso, os egípcios sepultavam o filho mais velho de suas famílias que o S enhor havia ferido mortalmente na noite anterior. Naquela noite, o S enhor derrotou os deuses do Egito com grandes atos de julgamento.
5 The Israelites moved from Rameses and set up camp at Succoth.
5 Depois de partirem de Ramessés, os israelitas acamparam em Sucote.
6 They moved from Succoth and set up camp on the edge of the desert at Etham.
6 Saíram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, à beira do deserto.
7 They moved from Etham and turned back to Pi Hahiroth, east of Baal Zephon. They set up camp near Migdol.
7 Saíram de Etã e voltaram para Pi-Hairote, de frente para Baal-Zefom, e acamparam perto de Migdol.
8 They moved from Pi Hahiroth and went through the middle of the sea into the desert. After they traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they set up camp at Marah.

38 Jehovah commanded Aaron the priest to go up on Mount Hor. He died there on the first day of the fifth month in the fortieth year after the Israelites left Egypt.
38 Enquanto estavam ao pé do monte Hor, por ordem do S enhor o sacerdote Arão subiu ao monte e morreu ali. Isso aconteceu no primeiro dia do quinto mês, quarenta anos depois que Israel saiu do Egito.
39 Aaron was one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
39 Arão tinha 123 anos quando morreu no monte Hor.
40 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
40 O rei cananeu de Arade, que vivia no Neguebe, na terra de Canaã, soube que os israelitas se aproximavam de sua terra.
41 They moved from Mount Hor and set up camp at Zalmonah.

50 Jehovah said to Moses on the plains of Moab near the Jordan River across from Jericho,
50 Enquanto estavam acampados perto do rio Jordão, nas campinas de Moabe, do lado oposto de Jericó, o S enhor disse a Moisés:
51 Tell the Israelites: »You will cross the Jordan River and enter Canaan.
51 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Quando atravessarem o rio Jordão para entrar na terra de Canaã,
52 »As you advance, force out all the people who live there. Get rid of all their stone and metal idols, and destroy all their places of worship.
52 expulsem todos os povos que vivem ali. Destruam todas as imagens esculpidas ou fundidas e derrubem todos os santuários idólatras.
53 »Take possession of the land and live there. I will give it to you for your own.
53 Tomem posse da terra e estabeleçam-se nela, pois eu lhes dei a terra para a ocuparem.
54 Divide the land among your families by drawing lots. Give more land to larger families and less land to smaller ones. The land must be given to each family by drawing lots. Divide it among your ancestors tribes.
54 Distribuam a terra entre os clãs por sorteio e de forma proporcional ao tamanho de cada clã. Os clãs maiores receberão uma porção maior, e os clãs menores, uma porção menor. A decisão por sorteio é definitiva. Assim, as porções de terra serão distribuídas entre as tribos de seus antepassados.
55 »If you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those that are left will be as troublesome as splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will fight against you.
55 Mas, se vocês não expulsarem os povos que vivem na terra, aqueles que restarem serão como farpas em seus olhos e espinhos em suas costas. Serão um tormento para vocês na terra em que habitarem.
56 »If you do not drive them out, I will destroy you, as I planned to destroy them.«
56 E eu farei a vocês aquilo que planejava fazer a eles”.
