1 And the Lord said to Moses,
1 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
2 Give orders to the children of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land which is to be your heritage, the land of Canaan inside these limits,)
2 Ordena aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Quando entrardes na terra de Canaã (esta é a terra que vos cairá como herança, a terra de Canaã, com suas costas).
3 Then your south quarter will be from the waste land of Zin by the side of Edom, and your limit on the south will be from the east end of the Salt Sea,
3 Então o vosso lado sul será desde o deserto de Zim, passando pela costa de Edom; e a vossa fronteira sul será desde a extremidade do mar de sal, para o oriente.
4 And round to the south of the slope of Akrabbim, and on to Zin: and its direction will be south of Kadesh-barnea, and it will go as far as Hazar-addar and on to Azmon:
4 E esta fronteira declinará, do sul para a subida de Acrabim, e passará até Zim; e as suas saídas serão do sul a Cades-Barneia; e sairá a Hazar-Adar, e passará a Azmom.
5 And from Azmon it will go round to the stream of Egypt as far as the sea.
5 E a fronteira dará uma volta de Azmom até o rio do Egito; e as suas saídas serão para o mar.
6 And for your limit on the west you will have the Great Sea and its edge: this will be your limit on the west.
6 E quanto à fronteira do ocidente, tereis o mar grande como fronteira; esta será a vossa fronteira ocidental.
7 And your limit on the north will be the line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor:
7 E esta será a vossa fronteira do norte: desde o mar grande marcareis até ao monte Hor.
8 And from Mount Hor the line will go in the direction of Hamath; the farthest point of it will be at Zedad:
8 Desde o monte Hor, marcareis a vossa fronteira até a entrada de Hamate; e as saídas da fronteira serão até Zedade.
9 And the limit will go on to Ziphron, with its farthest point at Hazar-enan: this will be your limit on the north.
9 E a fronteira sairá até Zifrom, e as suas saídas serão em Hazar-Enã; esta será a vossa fronteira do norte.
10 And on the east, your limit will be marked out from Hazar-enan to Shepham,
10 E como fronteira oriental marcareis de Hazar-Enã até Sefã.
11 Going down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain, and on as far as the east side of the sea of Chinnereth:
11 E a fronteira descerá desde Sefã até Ribla, no oriente de Aim; e esta fronteira descerá e chegará à borda do mar de Quinerete, para o oriente.
12 And so down to Jordan, stretching to the Salt Sea: all the land inside these limits will be yours.
12 E a fronteira descerá ao Jordão, e as suas saídas serão no mar de sal; esta será a vossa terra, segundo os seus termos ao redor.
13 And Moses gave orders to the children of Israel saying, This is the land which is to be your heritage, by the decision of the Lord, which by the Lord's order is to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe:
13 E Moisés deu ordem aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Esta é a terra que herdareis por sorte, e que o SENHOR ordenou que fosse dada às nove tribos e à meia tribo.
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben, by their fathers' families, and the tribe of the children of Gad, by their fathers' families, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, have been given their heritage:
14 Porque a tribo dos filhos de Rúben, segundo a casa de seus pais, e a tribo dos filhos de Gade, segundo a casa de seus pais, já receberam a sua herança, e a meia tribo de Manassés já recebeu a sua herança.
15 The two tribes and the half-tribe have been given their heritage on the other side of Jordan at Jericho, on the east looking to the dawn.
15 As duas tribos e a meia tribo receberam a sua herança deste lado do Jordão, perto de Jericó, do lado oriental, ao nascente.
16 And the Lord said to Moses,
16 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
17 These are the names of the men who are to make the distribution of the land among you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun.
17 Estes são os nomes dos homens que vos dividirão a terra: Eleazar, o sacerdote, e Josué, filho de Num.
18 And you are to take one chief from every tribe to make the distribution of the land.
18 E tomareis um príncipe de cada tribo, para dividir a terra por herança.
19 And these are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb, the son of Jephunneh.
19 E estes são os nomes dos homens: da tribo de Judá, Calebe, filho de Jefoné;
20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel, the son of Ammihud.
20 e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, Samuel, filho de Amiúde;
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad, the son of Chislon.
21 da tribo de Benjamim, Elidade, filho de Quislom;
22 And of the tribe of the children of Dan, a chief, Bukki, the son of Jogli.
22 e da tribo dos filhos de Dã, o príncipe Buqui, filho de Jogli;
23 Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh, a chief, Hanniel, the son of Ephod:
23 dos filhos de José, da tribo dos filhos de Manassés, o príncipe Haniel, filho de Éfode;
24 And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, a chief, Kemuel, the son of Shiphtan.
24 e da tribo dos filhos de Efraim, o príncipe Quemuel, filho de Siftã;
25 And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, a chief, Elizaphan, the son of Parnach.
25 e da tribo dos filhos de Zebulom, o príncipe Elizafã, filho de Parnaque;
26 And of the tribe of the children of Issachar, a chief, Paltiel, the son of Azzan.
26 e da tribo dos filhos de Issacar, o príncipe Paltiel, filho de Azã;
27 And of the tribe of the children of Asher, a chief, Ahihud, the son of Shelomi.
27 e da tribo dos filhos de Aser, o príncipe Aiúde, filho de Selomi;
28 And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a chief, Pedahel, the son of Ammihud.
28 e da tribo dos filhos de Naftali, o príncipe Pedael, filho de Amiúde.
29 These are they to whom the Lord gave orders to make the distribution of the heritage among the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
29 Estes são aqueles a quem o SENHOR ordenou que, dividissem a herança entre os filhos de Israel na terra de Canaã.
