1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, on account of the Cushite woman whom he had taken,for, a Cushite woman, had he taken.
1 Miriã e Arão criticaram Moisés porque ele havia se casado com uma mulher cuxita.
2 And they said: Is it only and solely with Moses, that Yahweh hath spoken? With us also, hath he not spoken? And Yahweh heard it.
2 Disseram: “Acaso o S enhor fala apenas por meio de Moisés? Também não falou por meio de nós?”. E o S enhor ouviu isso.
3 Now, the man Moses, was patient, exceedingly,above all the sons of earth, who were on the face of the ground.
3 (Ora, Moisés era muito humilde, mais que qualquer outra pessoa na terra.)
4 Then said Yahweh suddenly, unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tent of meeting. And they three went out.
4 No mesmo instante, o S enhor chamou Moisés, Arão e Miriã e disse: “Vão à tenda do encontro, vocês três!”, e eles foram para lá.
5 Then Yahweh came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the entrance of the tent,and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both went forth.
5 Então o S enhor desceu na coluna de nuvem e parou à entrada da tenda de encontro. “Arão e Miriã!”, chamou ele. Os dois se aproximaram,
6 Then said he Hear, I beseech you my words. When ye have your prophet, As Yahweh in a vision, will I make myself known, unto him; In a dream, will I speak with him.
6 e o S enhor lhes disse: “Ouçam o que vou dizer: “Se houver profeta entre vocês, eu, o S falarei com ele em sonhos.
7 Not so, my servant Moses,In all my house, trusty, is he:
7 Não é assim, porém, com meu servo Moisés; ele tem sido fiel em toda a minha casa.
8 Mouth to mouth, do I speak with him And plainlynot in dark sayings, And the form of Yahweh, doth he discern,Wherefore then, were ye not afraid to speak against my servantagainst Moses?
8 Falo com ele face a face, claramente, e não por meio de enigmas; ele vê a forma do S Como vocês ousaram criticar meu servo Moisés?”.
9 And the anger of Yahweh kindled upon theme and he departed.
9 A ira do S enhor se acendeu contra eles, e ele se retirou.
10 And, when, the cloud, removed from off the tent,lo! Miriam, leprous, like snow! And Aaron turned unto Miriam and lo! leprous!
10 Enquanto a nuvem se afastava da tenda, Miriã ficou ali, com a pele branca como a neve, leprosa. Quando Arão viu o que havia acontecido com ela,
11 Then said Aaron unto Moses,Oh my lord, do not I beseech thee lay upon us sin, although we have made ourselves foolish, and although we have sinned.
11 clamou a Moisés: “Ó meu senhor! Por favor, não nos castigue pelo pecado que insensatamente cometemos.
12 Let her not, I beseech thee, remain like the still-born,which when it is born of its mother, the half of its flesh is consumed.
12 Não permita que ela fique como um bebê que nasce morto, já em decomposição”.
13 Then Moses made outcry unto Yahweh, saying,O GOD, I beseech thee grant healing. I beseech thee unto her.
13 Então Moisés clamou ao S enhor : “Ó Deus, eu suplico que a cures!”.
14 And Yahweh said unto Moses: If, her own father, had, but spat, in her face, would she not, have acknowledged the shame for seven days? Let her shut herself up for seven days, outside the camp, and afterwards, let her be received back.
14 O S enhor respondeu a Moisés: “Se o pai de Miriã tivesse apenas cuspido no rosto dela, não ficaria contaminada por sete dias? Portanto, mantenham-na fora do acampamento por sete dias. Depois disso, ela poderá ser aceita de volta”.
15 So Miriam shut herself up, outside the camp, for seven days,and, the people, set not forward, until Miriam had been received back.
15 Miriã foi mantida fora do acampamento por sete dias, e o povo esperou até ela ser trazida de volta para seguir viagem.
16 Then afterwards, did the people set forward from Hazeroth, and encamped in the desert of Paran.
16 Então saíram de Hazerote e acamparam no deserto de Parã.
