1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
1 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:
2 Make unto thyself two trumpets of silver, beaten out of one piece shalt thou make them; and they shall serve thee for the calling of the congregation, and for the setting forward of the camps.
2 Faze-te duas trombetas de prata; de obra batida as farás, e elas te servirão para convocares a congregação, e para ordenares a partida dos arraiais.
3 And when they shall blow with both, all the congregation shall assemble themselves unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
3 Quando se tocarem as trombetas, toda a congregação se ajuntará a ti à porta da tenda da revelação.
4 And if they blow with but one, then shall assemble themselves unto thee the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel.
4 Mas quando se tocar uma só, a ti se congregarão os príncipes, os cabeças dos milhares de Israel.
5 And when ye blow an alarm, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the east side.
5 Quando se tocar retinindo, partirão os arraiais que estão acampados da banda do oriente.
6 And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then shall set forward the camps that encamp on the south side: an alarm shall they blow for their setting forward.
6 Mas quando se tocar retinindo, pela segunda, vez, partirão os arraiais que estão acampados da banda do sul; para as partidas dos arraiais se tocará retinindo.
7 But at the assembling of the assembly, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
7 Mas quando se houver de reunir a congregação, tocar-se-á sem retinir:
8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
8 Os filhos de Arão, sacerdotes, tocarão as trombetas; e isto vos será por estatuto perpétuo nas vossas gerações.
9 And if ye go to war in your land against the oppressor that oppresseth you, then shall ye blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
9 Ora, quando na vossa terra sairdes à guerra contra o inimigo que vos estiver oprimindo, fareis retinir as trombetas; e perante o Senhor vosso Deus sereis tidos em memória, e sereis salvos dos vossos inimigos.
10 And on the day of your gladness, and on your appointed festivals, and on the beginnings of your months, shall ye blow with the trumpets over your burnt–offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace–offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the Lord your God.
10 Semelhantemente, no dia da vossa alegria, nas vossas festas fixas, e nos princípios dos vossos meses, tocareis as trombetas sobre os vossos holocaustos, e sobre os sacrifícios de vossas ofertas pacíficas; e eles vos serão por memorial perante vosso Deus. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
11 Ora, aconteceu, no segundo ano, no segundo mês, aos vinte do mês, que a nuvem se alçou de sobre o tabernáculo da congregação.
12 And the children of Israel set forward on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud halted in the wilderness of Paran.
12 Partiram, pois, os filhos de Israel do deserto de Sinai para as suas jornadas; e a nuvem parou ,no deserto de Parã.
13 And they set forward for the first time at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
13 Assim iniciaram a primeira caminhada, à ordem do Senhor por intermédio de Moisés:
14 And the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward at the first, according to their armies: and over their host was Nachshon the son of ‘Amminadab.
14 partiu primeiramente o estandarte do arraial dos filhos de Judá segundo os seus exércitos; sobre o seu exército estava Nasom, filho de Aminadabe;
15 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.
15 sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Issacar, Netanel, filho de Zuar;
16 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Chelon.
16 e sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Zebulom, Eliabe, filho de Helom.
17 And in the mean time the tabernacle was taken down; and then set forward the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, the bearers of the tabernacle.
17 Então o tabernáculo foi desarmado, e os filhos de Gérson e os filhos de Merári partiram, levando o tabernáculo.
18 Then set forward the standard of the camp of Reuben, according to their armies: and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
18 Depois partiu o estandarte do arraial de Rúben segundo os seus exércitos; sobre o seu exército estava Elizur, filho de Sedeur;
19 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
19 sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, Selumiel, filho de Zurisadai;
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Elyassaph the son of Deuel.
20 e sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Gade, Eliasafe, filho de Deuel.
21 And then set forward the Kehathites, the bearers of the sanctuary: and the others set up the tabernacle against they came.
21 Então partiram os coatitas, levando o santuário; e os outros erigiam o tabernáculo, enquanto estes vinham.
22 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim according to their armies; and over their host was Elishama the son of ‘Ammihud.
22 Depois partiu o estandarte do arraial dos filhos de Efraim segundo os seus exércitos; sobre o seu exército estava Elisama, filho de Amiúde;
23 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur.
23 sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Manassés, Gamaliel, filho de Pedazur;
24 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni.
24 e sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, Abidã, filho de Gideôni.
25 Then set forward the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, the rereward of all the camps, according to their hosts: and over their host was Achiezer the son of ‘Ammishaddai.
25 Então partiu o estandarte do arraial dos filhos de Dã, que era a retaguarda de todos os arraiais, segundo os seus exércitos; sobre o seu exército estava Aiezer, filho de Amisadai;
26 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of ‘Ochran.
26 sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Aser, Pagiel, filho de Ocrã;
27 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Achira the son of ‘Enan.
27 e sobre o exército da tribo dos filhos de Naftali, Airá, filho de Enã.
28 In this order were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
28 Tal era a ordem de partida dos filhos de Israel segundo os seus exércitos, quando partiam.
29 And Moses said unto Chobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, the father–in–law of Moses, We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord hath said, This will I give unto you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the Lord hath spoken to bring good upon Israel.
29 Disse então Moisés a Hobabe, filho de Reuel, o midianita, sogro de Moisés: Nós caminhamos para aquele lugar de que o Senhor disse: Vo-lo darei. Vai conosco, e te faremos bem; porque o Senhor falou bem acerca de Israel.
30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but to my own land, and to my birthplace will I go.
30 Respondeu ele: Não irei; antes irei à minha terra e à minha parentela.
31 And he said, Do not, I pray thee, leave us; since thou didst find out the places where we were to encamp in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us instead of eyes.
31 Tornou-lhe Moisés: Ora, não nos deixes, porquanto sabes onde devamos acampar no deserto; de olhos nos serviras.
32 And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that the same goodness which the Lord may do unto us, will we do unto thee.
32 Se, pois, vieres conosco, o bem que o Senhor nos fizer, também nós faremos a ti.
33 And they set forward from the mount of the Lord a three days’ journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out for them a resting–place.
33 Assim partiram do monte do Senhor caminho de três dias; e a arca do pacto do Senhor ia adiante deles, para lhes buscar lugar de descanso.
34 And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
34 E a nuvem do Senhor ia sobre eles de dia, quando partiam do arraial.
35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let those that hate thee flee before thy face.
35 Quando, pois, a arca partia, dizia Moisés: Levanta-te, Senhor, e dissipados sejam os teus inimigos, e fujam diante de ti os que te odeiam.
36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, among thy myriads of the thousands of Israel.
36 E, quando ela pousava, dizia: Volta, ó Senhor, para os muitos milhares de Israel.
