1 And it came to pass, after the plague, that Yahweh spake unto Moses, and unto Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, saying:

2 Reckon ye up the sum of all the assembly of the sons of Israel from twenty years old and upwards, by their ancestral houses,every one able to go forth to war in Israel.

3 So then Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them, in the waste plains of Moab,by the Jordan near Jericho saying:
3 Portanto, ali nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao rio Jordão e do lado oposto de Jericó, Moisés e o sacerdote Eleazar deram as seguintes instruções aos líderes de Israel:
4 From twenty years old and upwards, As Yahweh commanded Moses, and the sons of Israel, who had come forth out of the land of Egypt.
4 “Façam uma lista de todos os homens de Israel de 20 anos para cima, conforme o S enhor ordenou a Moisés”. Este é o registro dos israelitas que saíram do Egito.
5 Reuben, the firstborn of Israel,the sons of Reuben, To Hanoch, pertained the family of the Hanochites; To Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

7 These, are the families of the Reubenites,and they who were numbered of them were found to beforty-three thousand, and seven hundred, and thirty.
7 Esses foram os clãs de Rúben, que totalizaram 43.730 homens registrados.
8 Now, the sons of Pallu, were Eliab;
8 Palu foi antepassado de Eliabe,
9 and the sons of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan and Abiram,The same, Dathan and Abiram, notable men of the assembly, who contended against Moses and against Aaron in the assembly of Korah, when they contended against Yahweh;
9 e Eliabe foi o pai de Nemuel, Datã e Abirão. Datã e Abirão foram os mesmos líderes da comunidade que conspiraram contra Moisés e Arão e, com os seguidores de Corá, se rebelaram contra o S enhor .
10 and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them upwith Korah also, when the assembly died,when the fire consumed two hundred and fifty men, and they became a warning;

11 But, the sons of Korah, died not.

20 And so, as to the sons of Judah, by their families, it was found thatTo Shelah, pertained the family of the Shelanites, To Perez, the family of the Perezites,To Zerah, the family of the Zerahites;

21 And, as to the sons of Perez, it was found thatTo Hezron, pertained the family of the Hezronites,To Hamul, the family of the Hamulites:

22 These, are the families of Judah, as to them who were numbered of them,seventy-six thousand, and five hundred,
22 Esses foram os clãs de Judá, que totalizaram 76.500 homens registrados.
23 The sons of Issachar, by their families, Unto Tola, pertained the family of the Tolaites,To Puvah, the family of the Puvites;
23 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Issacar: O clã tolaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Tolá. O clã puíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Puá.
24 To Jashub, the family of the Jashubites,To Shimron, the family of the Shimronites:

27 These are the families of the Zebulunites as to them who were numbered of them,sixty thousand, and five hundred.

28 The sons of Joseph by their families,Manasseh, and Ephraim.

29 The sons of Manasseh, To Machir, pertained the family of the Machirites, and, Machir, begat Gilead,To Gilead, pertained the family of the Gileadites.

31 And Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; And, Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;

32 And Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; And, Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.

33 Now Zelophehad, son of Hepher, had no sons, but only, daughters,and, the names of the daughters of Zelophehad, were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah Milcah, and Tirzah.
33 (Zelofeade, um dos descendentes de Héfer, não teve filhos, mas suas filhas se chamavam Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.)
34 These, are the families of Manasseh,and, they who were numbered of them,fifty-two thousand, and seven hundred.

35 These are the sons of Ephraim by their families, To Shuthelah, pertained the family of the Shuthelahites, To Becher, the family of the Becherites,To Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 And, these, are the sons of Shuthelah, To Eran, pertained the family of the Eranites.
36 Esta foi a subdivisão de descendentes dos sutelaítas: O clã eranita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Erã.
37 These, are the families of the sons of Ephraim, as to them who were numbered of them,thirty-two thousand, and five hundred, These, are the sons of Joseph by their families.
37 Esses foram os clãs de Efraim, que totalizaram 32.500 homens registrados. Esses foram os descendentes de José, segundo seus clãs.
38 The sons of Benjamin by their families, To Bela, pertained the family of the Belaites, To Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites,To Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

39 To Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites,To Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman, the family of the Ardites, To Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 These, are the sons of Benjamin by their families,and they who were numbered of them,were forty-five thousand and six hundred.

42 These, are the sons of Dan, by their families: To Shuham, pertained the family of the Shuhamites,These, are the families of Dan by their families:
42 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Dã: O clã suamita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Suã.
43 All the families of the Shuhamites, as to them who were numbered of them, were, sixty-four thousand, and four hundred.

44 The sons of Asher, by their families: To Imnah, pertained the family of the Imnites, To Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites,To Beriah, the family of the Beriites;
44 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Aser: O clã imnaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Imna. O clã isvita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Isvi. O clã beriaíta, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Berias.
45 To the sons of Beriah, To Heber, pertained the family of the Heberites, To Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites;
45 Estas foram as subdivisões de descendentes dos beriaítas: O clã heberita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Héber. O clã malquielita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Malquiel.
46 And, the name of the daughter of Asher, was Serah.
46 Aser teve uma filha chamada Sera.
47 These, are the families of the sons of Asher as to them who were numbered of them,fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
47 Esses foram os clãs de Aser, que totalizaram 53.400 homens registrados.
48 The sons of Naphtali, by their families, To Jahzeel, pertained the family of the Jahzeelites; To Guni, the family of the Gunites:
48 Estes foram os clãs descendentes dos filhos de Naftali: O clã jazeelita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Jazeel. O clã gunita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Guni.
49 To Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; To Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

50 These are the families of Naphtali, by their families,and they who were numbered of them, were forty-five thousand and four hundred.
50 Esses foram os clãs de Naftali, que totalizaram 45.400 homens registrados.
51 These, are they who were numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and lice thousand,seven hundred and thirty,
51 Os homens registrados em Israel totalizaram 601.730.
52 Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:
52 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés:
53 Unto these, shall be apportioned the land as an inheritance by the number of names.
53 “Divida a terra entre as tribos e distribua as porções de terra de acordo com o número de nomes registrados na lista.
54 For the large one, thou shalt make large his inheritance, and for the small one, thou shalt make small his inheritance,unto each one, in proportion to them who were numbered of him, shall he given his inheritance.
54 Dê mais terras às tribos maiores e menos terras às tribos menores, para que cada grupo receba uma herança proporcional ao tamanho de sua população.
55 Nevertheless by lot, shall the land be apportioned,by the names of the tribes of their fathers, shall they inherit.
55 Distribua a terra por sorteio e dê a cada tribo de seus antepassados a sua porção de acordo com o número de nomes registrados na lista.
56 At the bidding of the lot, shall be apportioned his inheritance,between large and small.
56 Cada porção de terra será distribuída por sorteio entre as famílias tribais maiores e menores”.
57 And these, are they who were numbered of the Levites by their families, To Gershon, pertained the family of the Gershonites, To Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; To Merari, the family of the Merarites.
57 Este é o registro dos levitas que foram contados de acordo com seus clãs: O clã gersonita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Gérson. O clã coatita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Coate. O clã merarita, assim chamado por causa de seu antepassado Merari.
58 These, are the families of LeviThe family of the Libnites, The family of the Hebronites, The family of the Mahlites, The family of the Mushites, The family of the Korahites,And, Kohath, begat Amram;
58 Os clãs libnita, hebronita, malita, musita e coraíta eram subdivisões de descendentes dos levitas. Coate foi antepassado de Anrão,
59 and the name of the wife of Amram, was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt,and she bare to Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister:
59 e a esposa de Anrão se chamava Joquebede. Ela também era descendente de Levi, nascida entre os levitas na terra do Egito. Anrão e Joquebede eram pais de Arão, Moisés e sua irmã Miriã.
60 And, there were born to Aaron, Nadab and Abihu,Eleazar and Ithamar;
60 Os filhos de Arão foram Nadabe, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61 But Nadab and Abihu died,when they brought near strange fire before Yahweh:
61 Nadabe e Abiú morreram quando trouxeram fogo estranho diante do S enhor .
62 And they who were numbered of them were found to betwenty-three thousand, all the males from one month old and upwardsfor they had not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, because there was given unto them no inheritance, in the midst of the sons of Israel.
62 Os homens dos clãs levitas de um mês de idade ou mais totalizaram 23.000. Os levitas, porém, não foram incluídos no registro do restante dos israelitas, pois não receberam propriedades quando a terra foi dividida.
63 These, are they who were numbered by Moses, and Eleazar, the priest,when they numbered the sons of Israel, in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan, near Jericho.
63 Esses foram os resultados do censo dos israelitas realizado por Moisés e pelo sacerdote Eleazar nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao rio Jordão, do lado oposto de Jericó.
64 And among these, was there not found a man of them who had been numbered by Moses, and Aaron the priest,when they numbered the sons of Israel in the desert of Sinai.
64 Ninguém dessa lista estava registrado no censo anterior dos israelitas feito por Moisés e Arão no deserto do Sinai,
65 For Yahweh had said of them, They shall surely die, in the desert. And there was not left of them a man, save only, Caleb on of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.
65 pois o S enhor tinha dito a respeito deles: “Todos morrerão no deserto”. Nenhum deles sobreviveu, com exceção de Calebe, filho de Jefoné, e de Josué, filho de Num.
