1 These [are] the journeys of the sons of Israel who went forth out of the land of Egypt with their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
1 Este é o percurso que os israelitas fizeram quando saíram do Egito, organizados segundo suas divisões, sob a liderança de Moisés e Arão.
2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD. These [are] their journeys according to their goings out.
2 Por ordem do S enhor , Moisés guardou um registro escrito de seu progresso. Estas são as etapas da jornada, identificadas pelos lugares onde pararam ao longo do caminho.
3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the second day of the passover the sons of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
3 Os israelitas partiram da cidade de Ramessés no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês, na manhã seguinte à primeira celebração da Páscoa. Partiram triunfantemente, à vista de todos os egípcios.
4 For the Egyptians were burying all [their] firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them, the LORD having also executed judgments upon their gods.
4 Enquanto isso, os egípcios sepultavam o filho mais velho de suas famílias que o S enhor havia ferido mortalmente na noite anterior. Naquela noite, o S enhor derrotou os deuses do Egito com grandes atos de julgamento.
5 And the sons of Israel removed from Rameses and pitched in Succoth.
5 Depois de partirem de Ramessés, os israelitas acamparam em Sucote.
6 And they departed from Succoth and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
6 Saíram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, à beira do deserto.
7 And they removed from Etham and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which [is] before Baalzephon, and they pitched before Migdol.
7 Saíram de Etã e voltaram para Pi-Hairote, de frente para Baal-Zefom, e acamparam perto de Migdol.
8 And they departed from before Pihahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham and pitched in Marah.
8 Saíram de Pi-Hairote, atravessaram o mar Vermelho e chegaram ao deserto. Viajaram três dias pelo deserto de Etã e acamparam em Mara.
9 And they removed from Marah and came unto Elim, and in Elim [were] twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees, and they pitched there.
9 Saíram de Mara e acamparam em Elim, onde havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras.
10 And they removed from Elim and encamped by the Red sea.
10 Saíram de Elim e acamparam junto ao mar Vermelho.
11 And they removed from the Red sea and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
11 Saíram do mar Vermelho e acamparam no deserto de Sim.
12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin and encamped in Dophkah.
12 Saíram do deserto de Sim e acamparam em Dofca.
13 And they departed from Dophkah and encamped in Alush.
13 Saíram de Dofca e acamparam em Alus.
14 And they removed from Alush and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
14 Saíram de Alus e acamparam em Refidim, onde não havia água para o povo beber.
15 And they departed from Rephidim and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.
15 Saíram de Refidim e acamparam no deserto do Sinai.
16 And they removed from the desert of Sinai and pitched at Kibrothhattaavah.
16 Saíram do deserto do Sinai e acamparam em Quibrote-Hataavá.
17 And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah and encamped at Hazeroth.
17 Saíram de Quibrote-Hataavá e acamparam em Hazerote.
18 And they departed from Hazeroth and pitched in Rithmah.
18 Saíram de Hazerote e acamparam em Ritmá.
19 And they departed from Rithmah and pitched at Rimmonparez.
19 Saíram de Ritmá e acamparam em Rimom-Perez.
20 And they departed from Rimmonparez and pitched in Libnah.
20 Saíram de Rimom-Perez e acamparam em Libna.
21 And they removed from Libnah and pitched at Rissah.
21 Saíram de Libna e acamparam em Rissa.
22 And they journeyed from Rissah and pitched in Kehelathah.
22 Saíram de Rissa e acamparam em Queelata.
23 And they went from Kehelathah and pitched in mount Shapher.
23 Saíram de Queelata e acamparam no monte Séfer.
24 And they removed from mount Shapher and encamped in Haradah.
24 Saíram do monte Séfer e acamparam em Harada.
25 And they removed from Haradah and pitched in Makheloth.
25 Saíram de Harada e acamparam em Maquelote.
26 And they removed from Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.
26 Saíram de Maquelote e acamparam em Taate.
27 And they departed from Tahath and pitched at Tarah.
27 Saíram de Taate e acamparam em Terá.
28 And they removed from Tarah and pitched in Mithcah.
28 Saíram de Terá e acamparam em Mitca.
29 And they went from Mithcah and pitched in Hashmonah.
29 Saíram de Mitca e acamparam em Hasmona.
30 And they departed from Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.
30 Saíram de Hasmona e acamparam em Moserote.
31 And they departed from Moseroth and pitched in Benejaakan.
31 Saíram de Moserote e acamparam em Bene-Jaacã.
32 And they removed from Benejaakan and encamped at Horhagidgad.
32 Saíram de Bene-Jaacã e acamparam em Hor-Gidgade.
33 And they went from Horhagidgad and pitched in Jotbathah.
33 Saíram de Hor-Gidgade e acamparam em Jotbatá.
34 And they removed from Jotbathah and encamped at Ebronah.
34 Saíram de Jotbatá e acamparam em Abrona.
35 And they departed from Ebronah and encamped at Eziongaber.
35 Saíram de Abrona e acamparam em Eziom-Geber.
36 And they removed from Eziongaber and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh.
36 Saíram de Eziom-Geber e acamparam em Cades, no deserto de Zim.
37 And they removed from Kadesh and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
37 Saíram de Cades e acamparam no monte Hor, na fronteira de Edom.
38 And Aaron, the priest, went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD and died there in the fortieth year, after the sons of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first [day] of the fifth month.
38 Enquanto estavam ao pé do monte Hor, por ordem do S enhor o sacerdote Arão subiu ao monte e morreu ali. Isso aconteceu no primeiro dia do quinto mês, quarenta anos depois que Israel saiu do Egito.
39 And Aaron [was] one hundred and twenty-three years old when he died in mount Hor.
39 Arão tinha 123 anos quando morreu no monte Hor.
40 And king Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard how the sons of Israel had come.
40 O rei cananeu de Arade, que vivia no Neguebe, na terra de Canaã, soube que os israelitas se aproximavam de sua terra.
41 And they departed from mount Hor and pitched in Zalmonah.
41 Saíram do monte Hor e acamparam em Zalmona.
42 And they departed from Zalmonah and pitched in Punon.
42 Saíram de Zalmona e acamparam em Punom.
43 And they departed from Punon and pitched in Oboth.
43 Saíram de Punom e acamparam em Obote.
44 And they departed from Oboth and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.
44 Saíram de Obote e acamparam em Ijé-Abarim, na fronteira de Moabe.
45 And they departed from Iim and pitched in Dibongad.
45 Saíram de Ijé-Abarim e acamparam em Dibom-Gade.
46 And they removed from Dibongad and encamped in Almondiblathaim.
46 Saíram de Dibom-Gade e acamparam em Almom-Diblataim.
47 And they removed from Almondiblathaim and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
47 Saíram de Almom-Diblataim e acamparam nos montes de Abarim, perto do monte Nebo.
48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan of Jericho.
48 Saíram dos montes de Abarim e acamparam nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao rio Jordão, do lado oposto de Jericó.
49 Finally they pitched by the Jordan, from Bethjesimoth [even] unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.
49 Junto ao rio Jordão, acamparam desde Bete-Jesimote até Abel-Sitim nas campinas de Moabe.
50 And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,
50 Enquanto estavam acampados perto do rio Jordão, nas campinas de Moabe, do lado oposto de Jericó, o S enhor disse a Moisés:
51 Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When ye have passed the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
51 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Quando atravessarem o rio Jordão para entrar na terra de Canaã,
52 then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and abolish all their paintings and abolish all their molten images and destroy all their high places,
52 expulsem todos os povos que vivem ali. Destruam todas as imagens esculpidas ou fundidas e derrubem todos os santuários idólatras.
53 and ye shall dispossess [the inhabitants] of the land and dwell therein; for I have given you the land to inherit it.
53 Tomem posse da terra e estabeleçam-se nela, pois eu lhes dei a terra para a ocuparem.
54 And ye shall inherit the land by lots by your families, [and] to [those with] the most ye shall give more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give less inheritance, each one's [inheritance] shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
54 Distribuam a terra entre os clãs por sorteio e de forma proporcional ao tamanho de cada clã. Os clãs maiores receberão uma porção maior, e os clãs menores, uma porção menor. A decisão por sorteio é definitiva. Assim, as porções de terra serão distribuídas entre as tribos de seus antepassados.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come to pass that those whom ye let remain of them [shall be] pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides and shall afflict you in the land in which ye dwell.
55 Mas, se vocês não expulsarem os povos que vivem na terra, aqueles que restarem serão como farpas em seus olhos e espinhos em suas costas. Serão um tormento para vocês na terra em que habitarem.
56 Moreover it shall come to pass [that] I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.:
56 E eu farei a vocês aquilo que planejava fazer a eles”.
