1 BUT know you not, my brethren, for to those who know the law I speak, that the law has authority over a man as long as he liveth?
1 Gɨ́ nɨrɨxɨ́meáyɨ́né, ámá mɨpé sɨnɨ sɨŋɨ́ nɨŋwearɨ́ná ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ xɨ́dɨpɨ́rɨ́a nánɨ uxeŋwɨrárɨnɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ sɨnɨ majɨ́á rimónɨŋoɨ? Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨnɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ nɨjɨ́á imónɨgɨ́áyɨ́né eŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ.
2 as a woman who is bound in law to her husband as long as he liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is freed from the law of her husband.
2 Ewayɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨpɨ nánɨ dɨŋɨ́ nɨmoranéná nionɨ seararɨŋápɨ ananɨ dɨŋɨ́ mopaxɨ́rɨnɨ. Apɨxɨ́ oxɨ́ nɨmeánɨrɨ́ná ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ “Oxɨ́ nɨmeánɨrɨ́ná o tɨ́nɨ anɨŋɨ́ kumɨxɨnɨrɨ́ɨnɨ.” rɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ oxo sɨnɨ ŋweaŋáná o tɨ́nɨ nawínɨ ŋweanɨ́a nánɨ ɨ́ánɨŋɨ́ xeŋwɨrárɨnɨnɨ. 3 But if, while her husband lives, she adhere to another man, she becometh an adulteress; but if her husband shall die, she is freed from the law, and is not an adulteress, though she become (the wife) of another man.
3 Ayɨnánɨ íyá oxo mɨpé sɨnɨ sɨŋɨ́ ŋweaŋáná omɨ pɨ́nɨ nɨwiárɨmɨ nurɨ womɨ meánáná “Ámá o oyá apɨxírɨnɨ.” rɨpɨ́rɨ́árɨnɨ. E nerɨ aí íyá oxo péánáyɨ́, ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ o nánɨ ɨ́ánɨŋɨ́ xeŋwɨrárɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ rɨxa rakiowárɨnɨ́ɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ í nurɨ womɨ meánɨ́agɨ aí “Ámá o oyá apɨxírɨnɨ.” rɨpɨ́rɨ́ámanɨ.
4 And now, my brethren, you also are dead to the law, through the body of the Meshiha, that you should be married to another, (namely, to) him who rose from the dead, that you may render fruit unto Aloha.
4 Ayɨnánɨ gɨ́ nɨrɨxɨ́meáyɨ́né, ámá pegɨ́áyɨ́ pí pí ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨnɨŋɨ́pɨ sɨnɨ ɨ́ánɨŋɨ́ mɨxeŋwɨrárɨnɨgɨ́ápa seyɨ́né enɨ Kiraiso tɨ́nɨ nawínɨ ikárɨnɨgɨ́áyɨ́né, xɨ́o peŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ rɨxa pegɨ́á eŋagɨ nánɨ sɨnɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ wé rónɨŋɨ́ oimónaneyɨnɨro xɨ́dɨpɨ́rɨ́a nánɨ ɨ́ánɨŋɨ́ mɨseaxeŋwɨrárɨnɨ. 5 For while we were in the flesh, the affections of sin, which are against the law, wrought powerfully in our members to yield fruits unto death;
5 Ayɨ́ rɨpɨ nánɨrɨnɨ. Nene sɨnɨ Jisasomɨ dɨŋɨ́ mɨwɨkwɨ́ró ámá wigɨ́ dɨŋɨ́yo nɨxɨ́dɨróná yarɨgɨ́ápa neranéná ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá neainarɨŋɨ́pɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ sɨwánɨŋɨ́ neaipiomeaagɨ́rɨnɨ. E yagɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ anɨ́nanɨ́wá nánɨ íkɨ́á sogwɨ́ sɨpí wearɨŋɨ́na yapɨ yagwárɨnɨ.
6 but now we are loosed from the law, and are dead to that which held us, that we might serve henceforth in the newness of the spirit, and not in the oldness of the writing.
6 E nerɨ aí rɨxa peŋwaénénɨŋɨ́ nimónɨrane nánɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́ xámɨ ɨ́ánɨŋɨ́ neaxeŋwɨrárɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ gwɨ́nɨŋɨ́ neaíkweawárɨnɨŋenerɨnɨ. Ayɨnánɨ agwɨ nene Gorɨxomɨ nuxɨ́dɨranéná xámɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨ́wamɨŋɨ́ eagɨ́ápimɨnɨ sɨŋwɨ́ nɨwɨnaxɨ́dɨrane yagwápimɨ mé ámɨ sɨŋɨ́ bɨ, xɨ́oyá kwíyɨ́ neaíwapɨyarɨŋɨ́pimɨ nɨxɨ́dɨrɨ yarɨŋwɨnɨ.
7 What then, say we the law is sin? Not so. But sin I had not learned (to know) but by the law: for I had not known concupiscence (to be sinful), but (by) the law, which hath said, Thou shalt not covet.
7 Ayɨnánɨ píoɨ ranɨréwɨnɨ? “Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ sɨpírɨnɨ.” ranɨréwɨnɨ? Oweoɨ, wí e rɨpaxɨ́ menɨnɨ. Niɨwanɨŋonɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ ɨ́á mɨropa nerɨ sɨŋwɨrɨyɨ́, arɨge nerɨ “E nerɨ́ná ayɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ rɨ́a yarɨŋɨnɨ?” yaiwimɨnɨrɨ eŋárɨnɨ? Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ “Amɨpí wayá sɨŋwɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ mɨwɨnɨpa erɨ́ɨnɨ.” rɨnɨŋɨ́pɨ meánɨpa nerɨ sɨŋwɨrɨyɨ́, nionɨ arɨge apɨ nánɨ nɨjɨ́á nimónɨrɨ “Sɨŋwɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ nɨwɨnɨrɨ́ná ayɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ rɨ́a yarɨŋɨnɨ?” yaiwimɨnɨrɨ eŋárɨnɨ?
8 And by this commandment sin found for itself an occasion, and completed in me all concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
8 Ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ “Sɨŋwɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ mɨwɨnɨpa erɨ́ɨnɨ.” rɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ ananɨ amɨpí xɨxegɨ́nɨ sɨŋwɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ owɨnɨnɨrɨ nánɨ sɨwá nipiomeaŋɨ́rɨnɨ. Sɨŋwɨ́ ɨ́wɨ́ wɨnɨmɨ́a nánɨ apɨ apɨ sɨwánɨŋɨ́ nipiomeáagɨ apɨ e eŋárɨnɨ. Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ “E mepanɨ. E mepanɨ.” rɨnɨŋɨ́pɨ mɨrɨnɨpa nerɨ sɨŋwɨrɨyɨ́, ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá neainarɨŋɨ́pɨ sɨwá wí mɨneaipiomeapaxɨ́ imónɨmɨnɨrɨ eŋɨ́ meŋagɨ nánɨ seararɨŋɨnɨ.
9 But I was alive without the law formerly: but when the commandment came, sin lived, and I died.
9 Eŋíná nionɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ majɨ́á nimónɨrɨ́ná “Ananɨ naŋonɨrɨnɨ.” nɨyaiwinɨrɨ maiwí ŋweaagárɨnɨ. Íná ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ nɨnɨmeámɨ sánɨŋɨ́ nɨmewéagɨ aiwɨ nionɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ rɨxa nɨjɨ́á nimónɨrɨ́náyɨ́, ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ saiwiárɨ́nɨŋɨ́ niŋɨ́rɨnɨ. E níagɨ nánɨ nionɨ “Ɨ́wɨ́ yarɨŋáonɨrɨ́anɨ?” nɨyaiwinɨrɨ “Gorɨxoyá sɨŋwɨ́yo dánɨ anɨ́nɨ́ɨmɨgɨnɨrɨ yarɨŋáonɨrɨ́anɨ?” yaiwinɨŋanigɨnɨ.
10 And that commandment of life was found to me (to tend) unto death.
10 “Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ nionɨ nɨxɨ́dɨrɨ́ná dɨŋɨ́ nɨyɨmɨŋɨ́ imónɨmɨ́a nánɨ imónɨŋɨ́pɨrɨ́anɨ?” xámɨ dɨŋɨ́ e nɨyaiwirɨ aí píránɨŋɨ́ nɨjɨ́á nimónɨrɨ́ná apɨ sɨwá rénɨŋɨ́ niŋɨ́rɨnɨ, “Joxɨ dɨŋɨ́ nɨyɨmɨŋɨ́ imónɨŋoxɨmanɨ. Nanɨ́nɨrɨ́árɨnɨ.” Sɨwá énɨŋɨ́ niŋɨ́rɨnɨ.
11 For sin, by the occasion it found through the commandment, deceived me, and thereby killed me.
11 Ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ sɨwá nɨnipiomearɨ́ná yapɨ́ nɨníwapɨyirɨ nánɨ́nɨmɨ́a nánɨ niŋɨ́ eŋagɨ nánɨ rarɨŋɨnɨ.
12 The law therefore is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
12 Ayɨnánɨ re nɨyaiwirane nɨjɨ́á imónɨŋwɨnɨ, “Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pɨ Gorɨxo tɨ́ámɨnɨ imónɨŋagɨ nánɨ awiaxɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨrɨnɨ. Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ sekaxɨ́ rɨnɨŋɨ́yɨ́ nɨ́nɨ awiaxɨ́ imónɨnɨ. Wé rónɨŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ rɨnɨrɨ naŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ rɨnɨrɨ yarɨŋɨ́yɨ́rɨnɨ.” E nɨyaiwirane nɨjɨ́á imónɨŋwɨnɨ.
13 The good, then, unto me, unto death was made? Not so. But sin, that it might be seen what sin is, by the good (law) effected death in me, that sin might be the more condemned by the commandment.
13 Ayɨnánɨ “Naŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́ apɨ nionɨ anɨ́nɨmɨ́a nánɨ nimɨxɨŋɨ́rɨnɨ.” rɨmɨnɨréɨnɨ? Oweoɨ, wí e rɨpaxɨ́ mimónɨnɨ. Gorɨxo nionɨ rɨpiaú yaiwíwɨnɨgɨnɨrɨ ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ xe ɨ́wɨ́ enɨ́a nánɨ wíwapɨyirɨ anɨ́nɨnɨ́a nánɨ wimɨxɨrɨ oenɨrɨ sɨŋwɨ́ nanɨŋɨnigɨnɨ, “Ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ re eŋɨ́rɨ́anɨ? Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́pimɨ dánɨ —Apɨ naŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨrɨnɨ. Apimɨ dánɨ anɨ́nɨmɨ́a nánɨ nimɨxɨmɨnɨrɨ eŋɨ́rɨ́anɨ?” yaiwirɨ “Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ rɨnɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ sɨwá nipiomeaarɨŋagɨ nánɨ ɨ́wɨ́ ayɨ́ aga xwɨrɨ́á ninɨpaxɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨrɨ́anɨ?” enɨ yaiwirɨ éwɨnɨgɨnɨrɨ ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ ɨ́eapá ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ xe ɨ́wɨ́ enɨ́a nánɨ wíwapɨyirɨ anɨ́nɨnɨ́a nánɨ wimɨxɨrɨ oenɨrɨ sɨŋwɨ́ nanɨŋɨnigɨnɨ.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, and sold unto sin.
14 Nene nɨjɨ́árɨnɨ. Ŋwɨ́ ikaxɨ́ eánɨŋɨ́pimɨ dánɨ kwíyɨ́ Gorɨxoyápɨ xɨ́o wimónarɨŋɨ́pɨ nánɨ sɨwá neaiarɨŋagɨ aí ɨ́wɨ́ nánɨ áxeŋwarɨ́ ninárɨnɨŋonɨ eŋagɨ nánɨ nionɨ gɨ́ nimónarɨŋɨ́pimɨ xɨ́darɨŋárɨnɨ.
15 For what I work, I know not; and not that which I will, I do; but what I hate, that I do.
15 Ayɨ́ rɨpɨ seararɨŋɨnɨ, “Nionɨ yarɨŋápɨ nánɨ ududɨ́ ninarɨnɨ. ‘Apɨ oemɨnɨ.’ nimónarɨŋɨ́pɨ mé sɨpípɨ, xwɨrɨ́á ninarɨŋɨ́pɨ aí yarɨŋárɨnɨ.” seararɨŋɨnɨ.
16 And if the thing that I would not, I do, I witness of the law that it is good.

17 But now it is not I who work this, but sin which dwelleth in me.

18 For I know that in me, but that is in my flesh, good dwelleth not; because to will the good is easy to me, but to perform it I find not.

19 For the good that I will to do, I do not; but the evil that I will not to do, that do I.
19 Ayɨ́ apɨrɨnɨ. “Naŋɨ́ imónɨŋɨ́pɨ oemɨnɨ.” nimónarɨŋɨ́pɨ mepa nerɨ sɨpí “Mepa oemɨnɨ.” nimónarɨŋɨ́pɨ yarɨŋárɨnɨ.

21 I find then a law which accordeth with my mind, that willeth to do good, because evil is near to me.
