1 What then is the excellence of the Jihudoya, and what the profit of circumcision?
1 Qual é, pois, a vantagem do judeu? Ou qual a utilidade da circuncisão?
2 Much in every thing: primarily that they had intrusted (to them) the words of Aloha.
2 Muita, sob todos os aspectos. Principalmente porque aos judeus foram confiados os oráculos de Deus.
3 For if some of them believed not, would their unbelief abolish the faithfulness of Aloha?
3 E daí? Se alguns não creram, a incredulidade deles virá desfazer a fidelidade de Deus?
4 Not so: for Aloha is true, and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mayest be just in thy words, And triumph when they judge thee.
4 De maneira nenhuma! Seja Deus verdadeiro, e mentiroso, todo homem, segundo está escrito: Para seres justificado nas tuas palavras e venhas a vencer quando fores julgado.
5 But if our iniquity the righteousness of Aloha establisheth, what shall we say? Is Aloha evil, who bringeth his wrath? As a man do I speak.
5 Mas, se a nossa injustiça traz a lume a justiça de Deus, que diremos? Porventura, será Deus injusto por aplicar a sua ira? (Falo como homem.)
6 Not so; otherwise how shall Aloha judge the world?
6 Certo que não. Do contrário, como julgará Deus o mundo?
7 For if the truth of Aloha is promoted by my lie unto his glory, why then am I judged as a sinner?
7 E, se por causa da minha mentira, fica em relevo a verdade de Deus para a sua glória, por que sou eu ainda condenado como pecador?
8 Or why, as certain blaspheme concerning us, affirming that we say, Let us do evil, that good may come? they, whose condemnation is reserved by justice.
8 E por que não dizemos, como alguns, caluniosamente, afirmam que o fazemos: Pratiquemos males para que venham bens? A condenação destes é justa.
9 What then, have we attained excellence? (No.) For before we decided of the Jihudoyee and of the Aramoyee that they are all under sin;
9 Que se conclui? Temos nós qualquer vantagem? Não, de forma nenhuma; pois já temos demonstrado que todos, tanto judeus como gregos, estão debaixo do pecado;
10 as it is written, None is righteous, not one.
10 como está escrito: Não há justo, nem um sequer,
11 None understandeth or seeketh Aloha.
11 não há quem entenda, não há quem busque a Deus;
12 All have declined together and are reprobate, And there is none that doeth good, not one.
12 todos se extraviaram, à uma se fizeram inúteis; não há quem faça o bem, não há nem um sequer.
13 Open sepulchres are their throats, Their tongues have deceived, And the venom of asps is under their lips.
13 A garganta deles é sepulcro aberto; com a língua, urdem engano, veneno de víbora está nos seus lábios,
14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness,
14 a boca, eles a têm cheia de maldição e de amargura;
15 And their feet are swift to shed blood.
15 são os seus pés velozes para derramar sangue,
16 Crushing and misery are in their ways;
16 nos seus caminhos, há destruição e miséria;
17 And the way of peace they have not known;
17 desconheceram o caminho da paz.
18 And the fear of Aloha is not before their eyes.
18 Não há temor de Deus diante de seus olhos.
19 BUT we know that whatever the law saith, to them who are under the law it saith: that every mouth may be shut, and all the world be guilty unto Aloha.
19 Ora, sabemos que tudo o que a lei diz, aos que vivem na lei o diz para que se cale toda boca, e todo o mundo seja culpável perante Deus,
20 Because by the works of the law no flesh is justified before him; for from the law sin is known.
20 visto que ninguém será justificado diante dele por obras da lei, em razão de que pela lei vem o pleno conhecimento do pecado.
21 But now, without the law the righteousness of Aloha is revealed, and the law and the prophets (themselves) testify of it.
21 Mas agora, sem lei, se manifestou a justiça de Deus testemunhada pela lei e pelos profetas;
22 But the righteousness of Aloha is by faith of Jeshu Meshiha, unto all and also upon all who believe in him. For there is no distinction:
22 justiça de Deus mediante a fé em Jesus Cristo, para todos [e sobre todos] os que creem; porque não há distinção,
23 for all have sinned, and have failed of the glory of Aloha;
23 pois todos pecaram e carecem da glória de Deus,
24 and all are justified by grace freely, and (that) through the redemption which is in Jeshu Meshiha,
24 sendo justificados gratuitamente, por sua graça, mediante a redenção que há em Cristo Jesus,
25 whom Aloha before ordained (to be) a propitiation through faith in his blood for our sins which from the first we had sinned, within the space which Aloha hath given to us in his patience,
25 a quem Deus propôs, no seu sangue, como propiciação, mediante a fé, para manifestar a sua justiça, por ter Deus, na sua tolerância, deixado impunes os pecados anteriormente cometidos;
26 unto the manifestation of his righteousness which (is) in this time: that he might be just, and might justify in righteousness him who is in the faith of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
26 tendo em vista a manifestação da sua justiça no tempo presente, para ele mesmo ser justo e o justificador daquele que tem fé em Jesus.
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is abolished. By what law? of works? No, but by the law of faith.
27 Onde, pois, a jactância? Foi de todo excluída. Por que lei? Das obras? Não; pelo contrário, pela lei da fé.
28 We comprehend, therefore, that by faith man is justified, and not by the works of the law.
28 Concluímos, pois, que o homem é justificado pela fé, independentemente das obras da lei.
29 Is Aloha of the Jihudoyee only, and not of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also
29 É, porventura, Deus somente dos judeus? Não o é também dos gentios? Sim, também dos gentios,
30 Because one is Aloha, who justifieth the circumcision by faith, also the uncircumcision by the same faith.
30 visto que Deus é um só, o qual justificará, por fé, o circunciso e, mediante a fé, o incircunciso.
31 Do we therefore the law abolish by faith? Not so, but the law itself we establish.
31 Anulamos, pois, a lei pela fé? Não, de maneira nenhuma! Antes, confirmamos a lei.
