12 But|strong="G3361" don’t|strong="G3361" let|strong="G3767" sin|strong="G0266" control your|strong="G1722" life here|strong="G1519" on|strong="G1722" earth. You|strong="G5210" must|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3361" be|strong="G3767" ruled by|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" things|strong="G0846" your|strong="G1722" sinful|strong="G0266" self makes you|strong="G5210" want to|strong="G1519" do|strong="G3361".
13 Don’t offer the|strong="G3588" parts|strong="G3196" of|strong="G1537" your|strong="G2532" body to|strong="G2532" serve sin|strong="G0266". Don’t use your|strong="G2532" bodies|strong="G3196" to|strong="G2532" do|strong="G2532" evil|strong="G0093", but|strong="G0235" offer yourselves|strong="G1438" to|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316", as|strong="G1438" people|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" have|strong="G2532" died and|strong="G2532" now|strong="G2532" live|strong="G2198". 15 So|strong="G3767" what|strong="G5101" should we|strong="G3754" do|strong="G1096"? Should we|strong="G3754" sin|strong="G0264" because|strong="G3754" we|strong="G3754" are|strong="G1510" under|strong="G5259" grace|strong="G5485" and|strong="G5485" not|strong="G3756" under|strong="G5259" law|strong="G3551"? Certainly|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756"!
16 Surely you|strong="G3739" know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" you|strong="G3739" become the|strong="G3739" slaves|strong="G1401" of|strong="G1401" whatever|strong="G3739" you|strong="G3739" give yourselves|strong="G1438" to|strong="G1519". Anything or|strong="G2228" anyone|strong="G3739" you|strong="G3739" follow will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" your|strong="G3936" master. You|strong="G3739" can follow sin|strong="G0266", or|strong="G2228" you|strong="G3739" can obey|strong="G5219" God. But|strong="G1161" thank|strong="G5485" God|strong="G2316", you|strong="G3739" fully obeyed|strong="G5219" what|strong="G3739" you|strong="G3739" were|strong="G1510" taught.
18 You|strong="G1659" were|strong="G3588" made|strong="G1402" free|strong="G1659" from|strong="G0575" sin|strong="G0266", and|strong="G1161" now|strong="G1161" you|strong="G1659" are|strong="G3588" slaves|strong="G1402" to|strong="G1161" what|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" right|strong="G1343".
19 I|strong="G2532" use this|strong="G3779" example from|strong="G2532" everyday life|strong="G4561" because|strong="G1223" you|strong="G5210" need help|strong="G3936" in|strong="G1519" understanding spiritual truths. In|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" past you|strong="G5210" offered the|strong="G3588" parts|strong="G3196" of|strong="G1223" your|strong="G2532" body|strong="G4561" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G2532" slaves|strong="G1401" to|strong="G1519" your|strong="G2532" immoral and|strong="G2532" sinful thoughts. The|strong="G3588" result|strong="G1519" was|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210" lived only|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1063" sin. 21 You|strong="G3739" did|strong="G2192" evil things|strong="G3739", and|strong="G2192" now|strong="G3568" you|strong="G3739" are|strong="G3739" ashamed|strong="G1870" of|strong="G1909" what|strong="G5101" you|strong="G3739" did|strong="G2192". Did|strong="G2192" those|strong="G3588" things|strong="G3739" help you|strong="G3739"? No, they|strong="G3767" only brought death|strong="G2288".
22 But|strong="G1161" now|strong="G1161" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G3588" free|strong="G1659" from|strong="G0575" sin|strong="G0266". You|strong="G5210" have|strong="G2192" become|strong="G2192" slaves|strong="G1402" of|strong="G0575" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" result|strong="G1519" is|strong="G2316" that|strong="G2316" you|strong="G5210" live|strong="G2192" only for|strong="G1519" God|strong="G2316".
