This|strong="H3068" was|strong="H3068" during the|strong="H0559" first|strong="H7223" month|strong="H2320" of|strong="H0776" the|strong="H0559" second|strong="H8145" year|strong="H8141" after|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0559" Israelites came|strong="H3318" out|strong="H3318" of|strong="H0776" Egypt|strong="H4714". He|strong="H3068" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" Moses|strong="H4872",
2 “Tell the|strong="H0853" Israelites|strong="H3478" to|strong="H3478" celebrate Passover|strong="H6453" at|strong="H3478" the|strong="H0853" chosen time|strong="H4150".
3 They|strong="H3117" must|strong="H0853" eat the|strong="H3605" Passover meal just|strong="H4941" before|strong="H3117" dark on|strong="H3117" the|strong="H3605" 14th day|strong="H3117" of|strong="H3117" this|strong="H2088" month|strong="H2320". 6 But|strong="H3808" some|strong="H0376" of|strong="H0376" the|strong="H6440" people|strong="H0120" could|strong="H3201" not|strong="H3808" celebrate Passover|strong="H6453" that|strong="H0834" day|strong="H3117". They|strong="H0834" were|strong="H0834" unclean|strong="H2931" because|strong="H0834" they|strong="H0834" had|strong="H0834" touched a|strong="H1961" dead|strong="H5315" body|strong="H5315". So|strong="H6213" they|strong="H0834" went|strong="H0376" to|strong="H1961" Moses|strong="H4872" and|strong="H4872" Aaron|strong="H0175" that|strong="H0834" day|strong="H3117"
7 and|strong="H1121" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" Moses|strong="H0559", “We|strong="H0587" touched a|strong="H7126" dead|strong="H5315" body|strong="H5315" and|strong="H1121" became unclean|strong="H2931". 8 Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" them|strong="H0413", “I|strong="H6680" will|strong="H3068" ask|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068" what|strong="H4100" he|strong="H3068" says|strong="H0559" about|strong="H0413" this|strong="H3068".”
9 Then|strong="H1696" the|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" Moses|strong="H4872",
10 “Tell|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" Israelites|strong="H3478" this|strong="H3588": It|strong="H3588" might|strong="H3068" happen|strong="H1961" sometimes that|strong="H3588" you|strong="H3588" or|strong="H0176" your|strong="H3068" descendants|strong="H1121" cannot celebrate the|strong="H0559" LORD’S|strong="H3068" Passover|strong="H6453" at|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0559" right time|strong="H1961". Someone|strong="H0376" might|strong="H3068" be|strong="H1961" unclean|strong="H2931" because|strong="H3588" they|strong="H3588" touched a|strong="H1961" dead|strong="H5315" body|strong="H5315", or|strong="H0176" they|strong="H3588" might|strong="H3068" be|strong="H1961" away|strong="H7350" on|strong="H0413" a|strong="H1961" trip. They|strong="H3588" will|strong="H3068" still|strong="H0559" be|strong="H1961" able to|strong="H0413" celebrate Passover|strong="H6453" at|strong="H0413" another|strong="H0376" time|strong="H1961".
11 They|strong="H3117" must|strong="H0853" celebrate Passover just|strong="H6213" before|strong="H5921" dark on|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0853" 14th day|strong="H3117" of|strong="H3117" the|strong="H0853" second|strong="H8145" month|strong="H2320". At|strong="H5921" that|strong="H3117" time|strong="H3117" they|strong="H3117" must|strong="H0853" eat|strong="H0398" the|strong="H0853" lamb, the|strong="H0853" bread|strong="H4682" made|strong="H6213" without yeast, and|strong="H0398" the|strong="H0853" bitter|strong="H4844" herbs|strong="H4844".
12 They|strong="H3808" must|strong="H0853" not|strong="H3808" leave|strong="H7604" any|strong="H3605" of|strong="H4480" that|strong="H3605" food until|strong="H5704" the|strong="H3605" next morning|strong="H1242". And|strong="H1242" they|strong="H3808" must|strong="H0853" not|strong="H3808" break|strong="H7665" any|strong="H3605" of|strong="H4480" the|strong="H3605" bones|strong="H6106" of|strong="H4480" the|strong="H3605" lamb. 13 But|strong="H3588" anyone|strong="H0376" who|strong="H0834" is|strong="H0834" able must|strong="H5375" celebrate Passover|strong="H6453" at|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0834" right time|strong="H4150". If|strong="H3588" they|strong="H0834" are|strong="H0834" clean|strong="H2889" and|strong="H3068" they|strong="H0834" are|strong="H0834" not|strong="H3808" away|strong="H5375" on|strong="H1870" a|strong="H1961" trip, there|strong="H1961" is|strong="H0834" no|strong="H3808" excuse for|strong="H3588" them|strong="H5375" not|strong="H3808" to|strong="H1961" do|strong="H6213" it|strong="H1931". If|strong="H3588" they|strong="H0834" don’t|strong="H3808" celebrate Passover|strong="H6453" at|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0834" right time|strong="H4150", they|strong="H0834" must|strong="H5375" be|strong="H1961" separated from|strong="H3772" their|strong="H3068" people|strong="H5971". They|strong="H0834" are|strong="H0834" guilty and|strong="H3068" must|strong="H5375" be|strong="H1961" punished, because|strong="H3588" they|strong="H0834" did|strong="H6213" not|strong="H3808" give|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" LORD|strong="H3068" his|strong="H3068" gift|strong="H3068" at|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0834" right time|strong="H4150".
14 “A|strong="H1961" foreigner|strong="H1616" living|strong="H1481" among|strong="H0854" you|strong="H3588" might|strong="H3068" want to|strong="H1961" share in|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3588" LORD’S|strong="H3068" Passover|strong="H6453" with|strong="H0854" you|strong="H3588". This|strong="H3651" is|strong="H3068" allowed|strong="H3068", but|strong="H3588" that|strong="H3588" person must|strong="H0776" follow|strong="H1961" all|strong="H0259" the|strong="H3588" rules|strong="H2708" about|strong="H1961" Passover|strong="H6453". The|strong="H3588" same|strong="H0259" rules|strong="H2708" are|strong="H3068" for|strong="H3588" everyone|strong="H0259".”
15 On|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0853" day|strong="H3117" the|strong="H0853" Holy Tent|strong="H0168", the|strong="H0853" Tent|strong="H0168" of|strong="H3117" the|strong="H0853" Agreement, was|strong="H1961" set|strong="H6965" up|strong="H6965", a|strong="H1961" cloud|strong="H6051" covered|strong="H3680" it|strong="H5921". At|strong="H5921" night|strong="H6153" the|strong="H0853" cloud|strong="H6051" over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0853" Holy Tent|strong="H0168" looked|strong="H4758" like|strong="H1961" fire|strong="H0784".
16 The|strong="H1961" cloud|strong="H6051" stayed over|strong="H3680" the|strong="H1961" Holy Tent all|strong="H8548" the|strong="H1961" time|strong="H1961". And|strong="H3915" at|strong="H1961" night|strong="H3915" the|strong="H1961" cloud|strong="H6051" looked|strong="H4758" like|strong="H1961" fire|strong="H0784".
17 When|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" moved|strong="H5265" from|strong="H5265" its|strong="H5921" place|strong="H4725" over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0834" Holy Tent|strong="H0168", the|strong="H0834" Israelites|strong="H3478" followed|strong="H0310" it|strong="H5921". When|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" stopped, that|strong="H0834" is|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" place|strong="H4725" where|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" Israelites|strong="H3478" camped|strong="H2583".
18 This|strong="H0834" was|strong="H0834" the|strong="H3605" way|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" LORD|strong="H3068" showed the|strong="H3605" Israelites|strong="H3478" when|strong="H3117" to|strong="H5921" move|strong="H5265" and|strong="H1121" when|strong="H3117" to|strong="H5921" stop and|strong="H1121" set|strong="H5265" up|strong="H5921" camp|strong="H2583". While|strong="H3117" the|strong="H3605" cloud|strong="H6051" stayed over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" Holy Tent, the|strong="H3605" people|strong="H1121" continued to|strong="H5921" camp|strong="H2583" in|strong="H5921" that|strong="H0834" same place|strong="H4908".
19 Sometimes the|strong="H0853" cloud|strong="H6051" would|strong="H3478" stay over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0853" Holy Tent for|strong="H5921" a|strong="H5921" long|strong="H3117" time|strong="H3117". The|strong="H0853" Israelites|strong="H3478" obeyed|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068" and|strong="H1121" did|strong="H3808" not|strong="H3808" move|strong="H5265".
20 Sometimes|strong="H3426" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" was|strong="H1961" over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0834" Holy Tent for|strong="H5921" only a|strong="H1961" few|strong="H4557" days|strong="H3117". So|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" people|strong="H0834" obeyed the|strong="H0834" LORD’S|strong="H3068" command|strong="H6310"—they|strong="H0834" followed the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" when|strong="H1961" it|strong="H5921" moved|strong="H5265".
21 Sometimes|strong="H3426" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" stayed only|strong="H5704" during|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" night|strong="H3915"—the|strong="H0834" next morning|strong="H1242" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" moved|strong="H5265". So|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" people|strong="H0834" gathered their|strong="H1961" things|strong="H1961" and|strong="H1242" followed|strong="H5927" it|strong="H5704". If|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" cloud|strong="H6051" moved|strong="H5265", during|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" day|strong="H3119" or|strong="H0176" during|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" night|strong="H3915", they|strong="H0834" followed|strong="H5927" it|strong="H5704".
22 If|strong="H0176" the|strong="H5921" cloud|strong="H6051" stayed over|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" Holy Tent for|strong="H5921" two|strong="H3808" days|strong="H3117", a|strong="H0176" month|strong="H2320", or|strong="H0176" a|strong="H0176" year|strong="H3117", the|strong="H5921" people|strong="H1121" stayed at|strong="H2583" that|strong="H3117" place|strong="H4908". They|strong="H3117" did|strong="H3808" not|strong="H3808" leave|strong="H5927" until|strong="H2320" the|strong="H5921" cloud|strong="H6051" moved|strong="H5265". When|strong="H3117" the|strong="H5921" cloud|strong="H6051" rose|strong="H5927" from|strong="H5265" its|strong="H5921" place|strong="H4908" and|strong="H1121" moved|strong="H5265", they|strong="H3117" also|strong="H0176" moved|strong="H5265".
23 So|strong="H3027" the|strong="H0853" people obeyed|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" LORD’S|strong="H3068" commands. They|strong="H5921" camped|strong="H2583" when|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068" told them|strong="H0853" to|strong="H5921", and|strong="H3068" they|strong="H5921" moved|strong="H5265" when|strong="H3068" he|strong="H3068" told them|strong="H0853" to|strong="H5921". They|strong="H5921" watched|strong="H8104" carefully|strong="H8104" and|strong="H3068" obeyed|strong="H8104" the|strong="H0853" LORD’S|strong="H3068" commands to|strong="H5921" Moses|strong="H4872".
