Números 24

ENG-KJV2006

And when Balaam|strong="H1109" saw|strong="H7200" that it pleased|strong="H5869" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* to bless|strong="H1288" Israel|strong="H3478", he went|strong="H1980" not, as at other times|strong="H6471", to seek|strong="H7125" for enchantments|strong="H5173", but he set|strong="H7896" his face|strong="H6440" toward the wilderness|strong="H4057".

And Balaam|strong="H1109" lifted up|strong="H5375" his eyes|strong="H5869", and he saw|strong="H7200" Israel|strong="H3478" abiding|strong="H7931" in his tents according to their tribes|strong="H7626"; and the spirit|strong="H7307" of God|strong="H0430" came upon him.

And he took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Balaam|strong="H1109" the son|strong="H1121" of Beor|strong="H1160" hath said|strong="H5002", and the man|strong="H1397" whose eyes|strong="H5869" are open|strong="H8365" hath said|strong="H5002":

He hath said|strong="H5002", which heard|strong="H8085" the words|strong="H0561" of God|strong="H0410", which saw|strong="H2372" the vision|strong="H4236" of the Almighty|strong="H7706", falling|strong="H5307" into a trance, but having his eyes|strong="H5869" open|strong="H1540":

How goodly|strong="H2895" are thy tents|strong="H0168", O Jacob|strong="H3290", and thy tabernacles|strong="H4908", O Israel|strong="H3478"!

As the valleys|strong="H5158" are they spread forth|strong="H5186", as gardens|strong="H1593" by the river’s side|strong="H5104", as the trees of lign aloes|strong="H0174" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath planted|strong="H5193", and as cedar trees|strong="H0730" beside the waters|strong="H4325".

He shall pour|strong="H5140" the water|strong="H4325" out|strong="H5140" of his buckets|strong="H1805", and his seed|strong="H2233" shall be in many|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325", and his king|strong="H4428" shall be higher|strong="H7311" than Agag|strong="H0090", and his kingdom|strong="H4438" shall be exalted|strong="H5375".

God|strong="H0410" brought him forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714"; he hath as it were the strength|strong="H8443" of an unicorn|strong="H7214": he shall eat up|strong="H0398" the nations|strong="H1471" his enemies|strong="H6862", and shall break|strong="H1633" their bones|strong="H6106", and pierce|strong="H4272" them through with his arrows|strong="H2671".

He couched|strong="H3766", he lay down|strong="H7901" as a lion|strong="H0738", and as a great lion|strong="H3833": who shall stir him up|strong="H6965"? Blessed|strong="H1288" is he that blesseth|strong="H1288" thee, and cursed|strong="H0779" is he that curseth|strong="H0779" thee.

And Balak’s|strong="H1111" anger|strong="H0639" was kindled|strong="H2734" against Balaam|strong="H1109", and he smote|strong="H5606" his hands|strong="H3709" together|strong="H5606": and Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto Balaam|strong="H1109", I called|strong="H7121" thee to curse|strong="H6895" mine enemies|strong="H0341", and, behold, thou hast altogether|strong="H1288" blessed|strong="H1288" them these three|strong="H7969" times|strong="H6471".

Therefore now flee|strong="H1272" thou to thy place|strong="H4725": I thought|strong="H0559" to promote|strong="H3513" thee unto great|strong="H3513" honour|strong="H3513"; but, lo, the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath kept thee back|strong="H4513" from honour|strong="H3519".

And Balaam|strong="H1109" said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Spake|strong="H1696" I not also to thy messengers|strong="H4397" which thou sentest|strong="H7971" unto me, saying|strong="H0559",

If Balak|strong="H1111" would give|strong="H5414" me his house|strong="H1004" full|strong="H4393" of silver|strong="H3701" and gold|strong="H2091", I cannot|strong="H3201" go beyond|strong="H5674" the commandment|strong="H6310" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to do|strong="H6213" either good|strong="H2896" or bad|strong="H7451" of mine own mind|strong="H3820"; but what the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* saith|strong="H1696", that will I speak|strong="H1696"?

And now, behold, I go|strong="H1980" unto my people|strong="H5971": come|strong="H3212" therefore, and I will advertise|strong="H3289" thee what this people|strong="H5971" shall do|strong="H6213" to thy people|strong="H5971" in the latter|strong="H0319" days|strong="H3117".

He hath said|strong="H5002", which heard|strong="H8085" the words|strong="H0561" of God|strong="H0410", and knew|strong="H3045" the knowledge|strong="H1847" of the most High|strong="H5945", which saw|strong="H2372" the vision|strong="H4236" of the Almighty|strong="H7706", falling|strong="H5307" into a trance, but having his eyes|strong="H5869" open|strong="H1540":

I shall see|strong="H7200" him, but not now: I shall behold|strong="H7789" him, but not nigh|strong="H7138": there shall come|strong="H1869" a Star|strong="H3556" out of Jacob|strong="H3290", and a Sceptre|strong="H7626" shall rise|strong="H6965" out of Israel|strong="H3478", and shall smite|strong="H4272" the corners|strong="H6285" of Moab|strong="H4124", and destroy|strong="H6979" all the children|strong="H1121" of Sheth|strong="H8352".

And Edom|strong="H0123" shall be a possession|strong="H3424", Seir|strong="H8165" also shall be a possession|strong="H3424" for his enemies|strong="H0341"; and Israel|strong="H3478" shall do|strong="H6213" valiantly|strong="H2428".

Out of Jacob|strong="H3290" shall come he that shall have dominion|strong="H7287", and shall destroy|strong="H0006" him that remaineth|strong="H8300" of the city|strong="H5892".

And when he looked|strong="H7200" on Amalek|strong="H6002", he took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Amalek|strong="H6002" was the first|strong="H7225" of the nations|strong="H1471"; but his latter|strong="H0319" end shall be that he perish|strong="H0008" for ever|strong="H5703".

And he looked|strong="H7200" on the Kenites|strong="H7017", and took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Strong|strong="H0386" is thy dwellingplace|strong="H4186", and thou puttest|strong="H7760" thy nest|strong="H7064" in a rock|strong="H5553".

Nevertheless the Kenite|strong="H7014" shall|strong="H0518" be wasted|strong="H1197", until Asshur|strong="H0804" shall carry thee away captive|strong="H7617".

And he took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Alas|strong="H0188", who shall live|strong="H2421" when God|strong="H0410" doeth|strong="H7760" this!

And ships|strong="H6716" shall come from the coast|strong="H3027" of Chittim|strong="H3794", and shall afflict|strong="H6031" Asshur|strong="H0804", and shall afflict|strong="H6031" Eber|strong="H5677", and he also shall perish|strong="H0008" for ever|strong="H5703".

And Balaam|strong="H1109" rose up|strong="H6965", and went|strong="H3212" and returned|strong="H7725" to his place|strong="H4725": and Balak|strong="H1111" also went|strong="H1980" his way|strong="H1870".
