And Balaam|strong="H1109" said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Build|strong="H1129" me here seven|strong="H7651" altars|strong="H4196", and prepare|strong="H3559" me here seven|strong="H7651" oxen|strong="H6499" and seven|strong="H7651" rams|strong="H0352".
And Balak|strong="H1111" did|strong="H6213" as Balaam|strong="H1109" had spoken|strong="H1696"; and Balak|strong="H1111" and Balaam|strong="H1109" offered|strong="H5927" on every altar|strong="H4196" a bullock|strong="H6499" and a ram|strong="H0352".
And Balaam|strong="H1109" said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Stand|strong="H3320" by thy burnt offering|strong="H5930", and I will go|strong="H3212": peradventure the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will come|strong="H7136" to meet|strong="H7125" me: and whatsoever|strong="H1697" he sheweth|strong="H7200" me I will tell|strong="H5046" thee. And he went|strong="H3212" to an high place|strong="H8205".
And God|strong="H0430" met|strong="H7136" Balaam|strong="H1109": and he said|strong="H0559" unto him, I have prepared|strong="H6186" seven|strong="H7651" altars|strong="H4196", and I have offered|strong="H5927" upon every altar|strong="H4196" a bullock|strong="H6499" and a ram|strong="H0352".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* put|strong="H7760" a word|strong="H1697" in Balaam’s|strong="H1109" mouth|strong="H6310", and said|strong="H0559", Return|strong="H7725" unto Balak|strong="H1111", and thus thou shalt speak|strong="H1696".
And he returned|strong="H7725" unto him, and, lo, he stood|strong="H5324" by his burnt sacrifice|strong="H5930", he, and all the princes|strong="H8269" of Moab|strong="H4124".
And he took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Balak|strong="H1111" the king|strong="H4428" of Moab|strong="H4124" hath brought|strong="H5148" me from Aram|strong="H0758", out of the mountains|strong="H2042" of the east|strong="H6924", saying, Come|strong="H3212", curse|strong="H0779" me Jacob|strong="H3290", and come|strong="H3212", defy|strong="H2194" Israel|strong="H3478".
How|strong="H4100" shall I curse|strong="H5344", whom God|strong="H0410" hath not cursed|strong="H6895"? or how shall I defy|strong="H2194", whom the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath not defied|strong="H2194"?
For from the top|strong="H7218" of the rocks|strong="H6697" I see|strong="H7200" him, and from the hills|strong="H1389" I behold|strong="H7789" him: lo, the people|strong="H5971" shall dwell|strong="H7931" alone|strong="H0910", and shall not be reckoned|strong="H2803" among the nations|strong="H1471".
Who can count|strong="H4487" the dust|strong="H6083" of Jacob|strong="H3290", and the number|strong="H4557" of the fourth|strong="H7255" part of Israel|strong="H3478"? Let me die|strong="H4191" the death|strong="H4194" of the righteous|strong="H3477", and let my last|strong="H0319" end be like his!
And Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto Balaam|strong="H1109", What hast thou done|strong="H6213" unto me? I took|strong="H3947" thee to curse|strong="H6895" mine enemies|strong="H0341", and, behold, thou hast blessed|strong="H1288" them altogether|strong="H1288".
And he answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559", Must I not take heed|strong="H8104" to speak|strong="H1696" that which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* hath put|strong="H7760" in my mouth|strong="H6310"?
And Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto him, Come|strong="H3212", I pray thee, with me unto another|strong="H0312" place|strong="H4725", from whence thou mayest see|strong="H7200" them: thou shalt see|strong="H7200" but|strong="H0657" the utmost|strong="H7097" part of them, and shalt not see|strong="H7200" them all: and curse|strong="H6895" me them from thence.
And he brought|strong="H3947" him into the field|strong="H7704" of Zophim|strong="H6839", to the top|strong="H7218" of Pisgah|strong="H6449", and built|strong="H1129" seven|strong="H7651" altars|strong="H4196", and offered|strong="H5927" a bullock|strong="H6499" and a ram|strong="H0352" on every altar|strong="H4196".
And he said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Stand|strong="H3320" here|strong="H3541" by thy burnt offering|strong="H5930", while I meet|strong="H7136" the \+nd Lord\+nd* yonder|strong="H3541".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* met|strong="H7136" Balaam|strong="H1109", and put|strong="H7760" a word|strong="H1697" in his mouth|strong="H6310", and said|strong="H0559", Go again|strong="H7725" unto Balak|strong="H1111", and say|strong="H1696" thus.
And when he came|strong="H0935" to him, behold, he stood|strong="H5324" by his burnt offering|strong="H5930", and the princes|strong="H8269" of Moab|strong="H4124" with him. And Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto him, What hath the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spoken|strong="H1696"?
And he took up|strong="H5375" his parable|strong="H4912", and said|strong="H0559", Rise up|strong="H6965", Balak|strong="H1111", and hear|strong="H8085"; hearken|strong="H0238" unto me, thou son|strong="H1121" of Zippor|strong="H6834":
God|strong="H0410" is not a man|strong="H0376", that he should lie|strong="H3576"; neither the son|strong="H1121" of man|strong="H0120", that he should repent|strong="H5162": hath he said|strong="H0559", and shall he not do|strong="H6213" it? or hath he spoken|strong="H1696", and shall he not make it good|strong="H6965"?
Behold, I have received|strong="H3947" commandment to bless|strong="H1288": and he hath blessed|strong="H1288"; and I cannot reverse|strong="H7725" it.
He hath not beheld|strong="H5027" iniquity|strong="H0205" in Jacob|strong="H3290", neither hath he seen|strong="H7200" perverseness|strong="H5999" in Israel|strong="H3478": the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430" is with him, and the shout|strong="H8643" of a king|strong="H4428" is among them.
God|strong="H0410" brought them out|strong="H3318" of Egypt|strong="H4714"; he hath as it were the strength|strong="H8443" of an unicorn|strong="H7214".
Surely there is no enchantment|strong="H5173" against Jacob|strong="H3290", neither is there any divination|strong="H7081" against Israel|strong="H3478": according to this time|strong="H6256" it shall be said|strong="H0559" of Jacob|strong="H3290" and of Israel|strong="H3478", What hath God|strong="H0410" wrought|strong="H6466"!
Behold, the people|strong="H5971" shall rise up|strong="H6965" as a great lion|strong="H3833", and lift up|strong="H5375" himself as a young lion|strong="H0738": he shall not lie down|strong="H7901" until he eat|strong="H0398" of the prey|strong="H2964", and drink|strong="H8354" the blood|strong="H1818" of the slain|strong="H2491".
And Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto Balaam|strong="H1109", Neither curse|strong="H5344" them at all|strong="H6895", nor bless|strong="H1288" them at all|strong="H1288".
But Balaam|strong="H1109" answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Told|strong="H1696" not I thee, saying|strong="H0559", All that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* speaketh|strong="H1696", that I must do|strong="H6213"?
And Balak|strong="H1111" said|strong="H0559" unto Balaam|strong="H1109", Come|strong="H3212", I pray thee, I will bring|strong="H3947" thee unto another|strong="H0312" place|strong="H4725"; peradventure it will please|strong="H3474" God|strong="H0430" that thou mayest curse|strong="H6895" me them from thence.
And Balak|strong="H1111" brought|strong="H3947" Balaam|strong="H1109" unto the top|strong="H7218" of Peor|strong="H6465", that looketh|strong="H8259" toward|strong="H6440" Jeshimon|strong="H3452".
And Balaam|strong="H1109" said|strong="H0559" unto Balak|strong="H1111", Build|strong="H1129" me here seven|strong="H7651" altars|strong="H4196", and prepare|strong="H3559" me here seven|strong="H7651" bullocks|strong="H6499" and seven|strong="H7651" rams|strong="H0352".
And Balak|strong="H1111" did|strong="H6213" as Balaam|strong="H1109" had said|strong="H0559", and offered|strong="H5927" a bullock|strong="H6499" and a ram|strong="H0352" on every altar|strong="H4196".
