1 And the men|strong="H0376" of Ephraim|strong="H0669" gathered themselves together|strong="H6817", and went|strong="H5674" northward|strong="H6828", and said|strong="H0559" unto Jephthah|strong="H3316", Wherefore passedst thou over|strong="H5674" to fight|strong="H3898" against the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983", and didst not call|strong="H7121" us to go|strong="H3212" with thee? we will burn|strong="H8313" thine house|strong="H1004" upon thee with fire|strong="H0784".
1 E os homens de Efraim se reuniram, e seguiram em direção norte, e disseram a Jefté: Por que atravessaste para lutar contra os filhos de Amom e não nos chamaste para ir contigo? Nós queimaremos a tua casa sobre ti com fogo.
2 And Jephthah|strong="H3316" said|strong="H0559" unto them, I and my people|strong="H5971" were|strong="H1961" at great|strong="H3966" strife|strong="H0376" with the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983"; and when I called|strong="H2199" you, ye delivered|strong="H3467" me not out of their hands|strong="H3027".
2 E Jefté lhes disse: Eu e o meu povo estávamos em grande conflito com os filhos de Amom; e quando eu vos chamei, vós não me livrastes das mãos deles.
3 And when I saw|strong="H7200" that ye delivered|strong="H3467" me not, I put|strong="H7760" my life|strong="H5315" in my hands|strong="H3709", and passed over|strong="H5674" against the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* delivered|strong="H5414" them into my hand|strong="H3027": wherefore then are ye come up|strong="H5927" unto me this day|strong="H3117", to fight|strong="H3898" against me?
3 E quando vi que não me livraste, eu coloquei a minha vida nas minhas mãos, e atravessei contra os filhos de Amom, e o SENHOR os entregou na minha mão; pelo que, então, viestes até mim neste dia, para lutardes contra mim?
4 Then Jephthah|strong="H3316" gathered together|strong="H6908" all the men|strong="H0582" of Gilead|strong="H1568", and fought|strong="H3898" with Ephraim|strong="H0669": and the men|strong="H0582" of Gilead|strong="H1568" smote|strong="H5221" Ephraim|strong="H0669", because they said|strong="H0559", Ye Gileadites|strong="H1568" are fugitives|strong="H6412" of Ephraim|strong="H0669" among|strong="H8432" the Ephraimites|strong="H0669", and among|strong="H8432" the Manassites|strong="H4519".
4 Então Jefté reuniu todos os homens de Gileade, e lutou contra Efraim; e os homens de Gileade feriram Efraim, porque diziam: Vós, gileaditas, sois fugitivos de Efraim no meio dos efraimitas, e no meio dos manassitas.
5 And the Gileadites|strong="H1568" took|strong="H3920" the passages|strong="H4569" of Jordan|strong="H3383" before the Ephraimites|strong="H0669": and it was so, that when those Ephraimites|strong="H0669" which were escaped|strong="H6412" said|strong="H0559", Let me go over|strong="H5674"; that the men|strong="H0582" of Gilead|strong="H1568" said|strong="H0559" unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite|strong="H0673"? If he said|strong="H0559", Nay;
5 E os gileaditas tomaram as passagens do Jordão antes dos efraimitas; e assim foi que, quando aqueles efraimitas que haviam escapado diziam: Deixa-me atravessar; os homens de Gileade lhes diziam: És tu efraimita? E, se ele dissesse: Não;
6 Then said|strong="H0559" they unto him, Say|strong="H0559" now Shibboleth|strong="H7641": and he said|strong="H0559" Sibboleth|strong="H5451": for he could not frame|strong="H3559" to pronounce|strong="H1696" it right|strong="H3559". Then they took|strong="H0270" him, and slew|strong="H7819" him at the passages|strong="H4569" of Jordan|strong="H3383": and there fell|strong="H5307" at that time|strong="H6256" of the Ephraimites|strong="H0669" forty|strong="H0705" and two|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505".
6 Disseram-lhe então: Diz, agora "chibolete", e ele disse "sibolete"; pois ele não conseguia formular uma pronúncia correta. Então eles o tomaram e o mataram nas passagens do Jordão; e caíram ali, naquele hora, dos eframitas, quarenta e dois mil.
7 And Jephthah|strong="H3316" judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" six|strong="H8337" years|strong="H8141". Then died|strong="H4191" Jephthah|strong="H3316" the Gileadite|strong="H1569", and was buried|strong="H6912" in one of the cities|strong="H5892" of Gilead|strong="H1568".
7 E Jefté julgou Israel por seis anos. Então morreu Jefté, o gileadita, e foi sepultado em uma das cidades de Gileade.
8 And after|strong="H0310" him Ibzan|strong="H0078" of Beth-lehem|strong="H1035" judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478".
8 E depois dele, Ibsã de Belém julgou Israel.
9 And he had thirty|strong="H7970" sons|strong="H1121", and thirty|strong="H7970" daughters|strong="H1323", whom he sent|strong="H7971" abroad|strong="H2351", and took|strong="H0935" in thirty|strong="H7970" daughters|strong="H1323" from abroad|strong="H2351" for his sons|strong="H1121". And he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141".
9 E ele tinha trinta filhos, e trinta filhas, as quais ele enviou para o exterior, e trouxe trinta filhas do exterior para os seus filhos. E ele julgou Israel por sete anos.
10 Then died|strong="H4191" Ibzan|strong="H0078", and was buried|strong="H6912" at Beth-lehem|strong="H1035".
10 Então morreu Ibsã, e foi sepultado em Belém.
11 And after|strong="H0310" him Elon|strong="H0356", a Zebulonite|strong="H2075", judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478"; and he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" ten|strong="H6235" years|strong="H8141".
11 E depois dele Elom, um zebulonita, julgou Israel; e julgou Israel por dez anos.
12 And Elon|strong="H0356" the Zebulonite|strong="H2075" died|strong="H4191", and was buried|strong="H6912" in Aijalon|strong="H0357" in the country|strong="H0776" of Zebulun|strong="H2074".
12 E Elom, o zebulonita, morreu e foi sepultado em Aijalom, na região de Zebulom.
13 And after|strong="H0310" him Abdon|strong="H5658" the son|strong="H1121" of Hillel|strong="H1985", a Pirathonite|strong="H6553", judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478".
13 E depois dele Abdom, o filho de Hilel, o piratonita, julgou Israel.
14 And he had forty|strong="H0705" sons|strong="H1121" and thirty|strong="H7970" nephews|strong="H1121", that rode|strong="H7392" on threescore and ten|strong="H7657" ass colts|strong="H5895": and he judged|strong="H8199" Israel|strong="H3478" eight|strong="H8083" years|strong="H8141".
14 E ele tinha quarenta filhos e trinta netos, que montavam setenta jumentos potros; e julgou Israel por oito anos.
15 And Abdon|strong="H5658" the son|strong="H1121" of Hillel|strong="H1985" the Pirathonite|strong="H6553" died|strong="H4191", and was buried|strong="H6912" in Pirathon|strong="H6552" in the land|strong="H0776" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", in the mount|strong="H2022" of the Amalekites|strong="H6003".
15 E Abdom, o filho de Hilel, o piratonita, morreu, e foi sepultado em Piratom, na terra de Efraim, no monte dos Amalequitas.
