Jó 4

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Then Eliphaz|strong="H0464" the Temanite|strong="H8489" answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559",

If we assay|strong="H5254" to commune|strong="H1697" with thee, wilt thou be grieved|strong="H3811"? but who can|strong="H3201" withhold|strong="H6113" himself from speaking|strong="H4405"?

Behold, thou hast instructed|strong="H3256" many|strong="H7227", and thou hast strengthened|strong="H2388" the weak|strong="H7504" hands|strong="H3027".

Thy words|strong="H4405" have upholden|strong="H6965" him that was falling|strong="H3782", and thou hast strengthened|strong="H0553" the feeble|strong="H3766" knees|strong="H1290".

But now it is come|strong="H0935" upon thee, and thou faintest|strong="H3811"; it toucheth|strong="H5060" thee, and thou art troubled|strong="H0926".

Is not this thy fear|strong="H3374", thy confidence|strong="H3690", thy hope|strong="H8615", and the uprightness|strong="H8537" of thy ways|strong="H1870"?

Remember|strong="H2142", I pray thee, who ever perished|strong="H0006", being innocent|strong="H5355"? or where|strong="H0375" were the righteous|strong="H3477" cut off|strong="H3582"?

Even as I have seen|strong="H7200", they that plow|strong="H2790" iniquity|strong="H0205", and sow|strong="H2232" wickedness|strong="H5999", reap|strong="H7114" the same.

By the blast|strong="H5397" of God|strong="H0433" they perish|strong="H0006", and by the breath|strong="H7307" of his nostrils|strong="H0639" are they consumed|strong="H3615".

The roaring|strong="H7581" of the lion|strong="H0738", and the voice|strong="H6963" of the fierce lion|strong="H7826", and the teeth|strong="H8127" of the young lions|strong="H3715", are broken|strong="H5421".

The old lion|strong="H3918" perisheth|strong="H0006" for lack|strong="H1097" of prey|strong="H2964", and the stout lion’s|strong="H3833" whelps|strong="H1121" are scattered abroad|strong="H6504".

Now a thing|strong="H1697" was secretly brought|strong="H1589" to me, and mine ear|strong="H0241" received|strong="H3947" a little|strong="H8102" thereof.

In thoughts|strong="H5587" from the visions|strong="H2384" of the night|strong="H3915", when deep sleep|strong="H8639" falleth|strong="H5307" on men|strong="H0582",

Fear|strong="H6343" came|strong="H7122" upon me, and trembling|strong="H7461", which made all|strong="H7230" my bones|strong="H6106" to shake|strong="H6342".

Then a spirit|strong="H7307" passed|strong="H2498" before my face|strong="H6440"; the hair|strong="H8185" of my flesh|strong="H1320" stood up|strong="H5568":

It stood still|strong="H5975", but I could not discern|strong="H5234" the form|strong="H4758" thereof: an image|strong="H8544" was before mine eyes|strong="H5869", there was silence|strong="H1827", and I heard|strong="H8085" a voice|strong="H6963", saying,

Shall mortal man|strong="H0582" be more just|strong="H6663" than God|strong="H0433"? shall a man|strong="H1397" be more pure|strong="H2891" than his maker|strong="H6213"?

Behold, he put no trust|strong="H0539" in his servants|strong="H5650"; and his angels|strong="H4397" he charged|strong="H7760" with folly|strong="H8417":

How much less|strong="H0637" in them that dwell|strong="H7931" in houses|strong="H1004" of clay|strong="H2563", whose foundation|strong="H3247" is in the dust|strong="H6083", which are crushed|strong="H1792" before|strong="H6440" the moth|strong="H6211"?

They are destroyed|strong="H3807" from morning|strong="H1242" to evening|strong="H6153": they perish|strong="H0006" for ever|strong="H5331" without any regarding|strong="H7760" it.

Doth not their excellency|strong="H3499" which is in them go away|strong="H5265"? they die|strong="H4191", even without wisdom|strong="H2451".
