Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" made|strong="H5648" an image|strong="H6755" of gold|strong="H1722", whose height|strong="H7314" was threescore|strong="H8361" cubits|strong="H0521", and the breadth|strong="H6613" thereof six|strong="H8353" cubits|strong="H0521": he set it up|strong="H6966" in the plain|strong="H1236" of Dura|strong="H1757", in the province|strong="H4083" of Babylon|strong="H0895".
Then Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" sent|strong="H7972" to gather together|strong="H3673" the princes|strong="H0324", the governors|strong="H5460", and the captains|strong="H6347", the judges|strong="H0148", the treasurers|strong="H1411", the counsellors|strong="H1884", the sheriffs|strong="H8614", and all|strong="H3606" the rulers|strong="H7984" of the provinces|strong="H4083", to come|strong="H0858" to the dedication|strong="H2597" of the image|strong="H6755" which Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" had set up|strong="H6966".
Then|strong="H0116" the princes|strong="H0324", the governors|strong="H5460", and captains|strong="H6347", the judges|strong="H0148", the treasurers|strong="H1411", the counsellors|strong="H1884", the sheriffs|strong="H8614", and all|strong="H3606" the rulers|strong="H7984" of the provinces|strong="H4083", were gathered together|strong="H3673" unto the dedication|strong="H2597" of the image|strong="H6755" that Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" had set up|strong="H6966"; and they stood|strong="H6966" before|strong="H6903" the image|strong="H6755" that Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" had set up|strong="H6966".
Then an herald|strong="H3744" cried|strong="H7123" aloud|strong="H2429", To you it is commanded|strong="H0560", O people|strong="H5972", nations|strong="H0524", and languages|strong="H3961",
That at what time|strong="H5732" ye hear|strong="H8086" the sound|strong="H7032" of the cornet|strong="H7162", flute|strong="H4953", harp|strong="H7030", sackbut|strong="H5443", psaltery|strong="H6460", dulcimer|strong="H5481", and all|strong="H3606" kinds|strong="H2178" of musick|strong="H2170", ye fall down|strong="H5308" and worship|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755" that Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" hath set up|strong="H6966":
And whoso|strong="H4479" falleth|strong="H5308" not|strong="H3809" down|strong="H5308" and worshippeth|strong="H5457" shall the same hour|strong="H8160" be cast|strong="H7412" into the midst|strong="H1459" of a burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861".
Therefore|strong="H6903" at that time|strong="H2166", when|strong="H1768" all|strong="H3606" the people|strong="H5972" heard|strong="H8086" the sound|strong="H7032" of the cornet|strong="H7162", flute|strong="H4953", harp|strong="H7030", sackbut|strong="H5443", psaltery|strong="H6460", and all|strong="H3606" kinds|strong="H2178" of musick|strong="H2170", all|strong="H3606" the people|strong="H5972", the nations|strong="H0524", and the languages|strong="H3961", fell down|strong="H5308" and worshipped|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755" that Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" had set up|strong="H6966".
Wherefore|strong="H6903" at that|strong="H1836" time|strong="H2166" certain|strong="H1400" Chaldeans|strong="H3779" came near|strong="H7127", and accused|strong="H7170" the Jews|strong="H3062".
They spake|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560" to the king|strong="H4430" Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020", O king|strong="H4430", live|strong="H2418" for ever|strong="H5957".
Thou|strong="H0607", O king|strong="H4430", hast made|strong="H7761" a decree|strong="H2942", that every|strong="H3606" man|strong="H0606" that shall hear|strong="H8086" the sound|strong="H7032" of the cornet|strong="H7162", flute|strong="H4953", harp|strong="H7030", sackbut|strong="H5443", psaltery|strong="H6460", and dulcimer|strong="H5481", and all|strong="H3606" kinds|strong="H2178" of musick|strong="H2170", shall fall down|strong="H5308" and worship|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755":
And whoso|strong="H4479" falleth|strong="H5308" not|strong="H3809" down|strong="H5308" and worshippeth|strong="H5457", that he should be cast|strong="H7412" into the midst|strong="H1459" of a burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861".
There are|strong="H0383" certain|strong="H1400" Jews|strong="H3062" whom|strong="H3487" thou hast set|strong="H4483" over|strong="H5922" the affairs|strong="H5673" of the province|strong="H4083" of Babylon|strong="H0895", Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665"; these|strong="H0479" men|strong="H1400", O king|strong="H4430", have|strong="H7761" not|strong="H3809" regarded|strong="H2942" thee|strong="H5922": they serve|strong="H6399" not|strong="H3809" thy gods|strong="H0426", nor|strong="H3809" worship|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755" which thou hast set up|strong="H6966".
Then|strong="H0116" Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" in his rage|strong="H7266" and fury|strong="H2528" commanded|strong="H0560" to bring|strong="H0858" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665". Then|strong="H0116" they brought|strong="H0858" these|strong="H0479" men|strong="H1400" before|strong="H6925" the king|strong="H4430".
Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" spake|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560" unto them, Is it true|strong="H6656", O Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", do not|strong="H3809" ye|strong="H0383" serve|strong="H6399" my gods|strong="H0426", nor|strong="H3809" worship|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755" which I have set|strong="H6966" up?
Now|strong="H3705" if|strong="H2006" ye be|strong="H0383" ready|strong="H6263" that at what time|strong="H5732" ye hear|strong="H8086" the sound|strong="H7032" of the cornet|strong="H7162", flute|strong="H4953", harp|strong="H7030", sackbut|strong="H5443", psaltery|strong="H6460", and dulcimer|strong="H5481", and all|strong="H3606" kinds|strong="H2178" of musick|strong="H2170", ye fall down|strong="H5308" and worship|strong="H5457" the image|strong="H6755" which I have made|strong="H5648"; well: but if|strong="H2006" ye worship|strong="H5457" not|strong="H3809", ye shall be cast|strong="H7412" the same hour|strong="H8160" into the midst|strong="H1459" of a burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861"; and who|strong="H4479" is that God|strong="H0426" that shall deliver|strong="H7804" you out of|strong="H4481" my hands|strong="H3028"?
Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", answered|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560" to the king|strong="H4430", O Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020", we|strong="H0586" are not|strong="H3809" careful|strong="H2818" to answer|strong="H8421" thee in|strong="H5922" this|strong="H1836" matter|strong="H6600".
If|strong="H2006" it be so, our God|strong="H0426" whom we|strong="H0586" serve|strong="H6399" is|strong="H0383" able|strong="H3202" to deliver|strong="H7804" us from|strong="H4481" the burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861", and|strong="H4481" he will deliver|strong="H7804" us out of|strong="H4481" thine hand|strong="H3028", O king|strong="H4430".
But if|strong="H2006" not|strong="H3809", be it|strong="H1934" known|strong="H3046" unto thee, O king|strong="H4430", that we will|strong="H0383" not|strong="H3809" serve|strong="H6399" thy gods|strong="H0426", nor|strong="H3809" worship|strong="H5457" the golden|strong="H1722" image|strong="H6755" which thou hast set up|strong="H6966".
Then|strong="H0116" was Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" full|strong="H4391" of fury|strong="H2528", and the form|strong="H6755" of his visage|strong="H0600" was changed|strong="H8133" against|strong="H5922" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665": therefore he spake|strong="H6032", and commanded|strong="H0560" that they should heat|strong="H0228" the furnace|strong="H0861" one|strong="H2298" seven times|strong="H7655" more|strong="H5922" than|strong="H1768" it was wont|strong="H2370" to be heated|strong="H0228".
And he commanded|strong="H0560" the most|strong="H2429" mighty|strong="H1401" men|strong="H1400" that were in his army|strong="H2429" to bind|strong="H3729" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", and to cast|strong="H7412" them into the burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861".
Then|strong="H0116" these|strong="H0479" men|strong="H1400" were bound|strong="H3729" in their coats|strong="H5622", their hosen|strong="H6361", and their hats|strong="H3737", and their other garments|strong="H3831", and were cast|strong="H7412" into the midst|strong="H1459" of the burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861".
Therefore|strong="H3606" because|strong="H4481" the king’s|strong="H4430" commandment|strong="H4406" was urgent|strong="H2685", and the furnace|strong="H0861" exceeding|strong="H3493" hot|strong="H0228", the flame|strong="H7631" of the fire|strong="H5135" slew|strong="H6992" those|strong="H0479" men|strong="H1400" that took up|strong="H5267" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665".
And these|strong="H0479" three|strong="H8532" men|strong="H1400", Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", fell down|strong="H5308" bound|strong="H3729" into the midst|strong="H1459" of the burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861".
Then|strong="H0116" Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" the king|strong="H4430" was astonied|strong="H8429", and rose up|strong="H6966" in haste|strong="H0927", and spake|strong="H6032", and said|strong="H0560" unto his counsellors|strong="H1907", Did not|strong="H3809" we cast|strong="H7412" three|strong="H8532" men|strong="H1400" bound|strong="H3729" into the midst|strong="H1459" of the fire|strong="H5135"? They answered|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560" unto the king|strong="H4430", True|strong="H3330", O king|strong="H4430".
He answered|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560", Lo|strong="H1888", I|strong="H0576" see|strong="H2370" four|strong="H0703" men|strong="H1400" loose|strong="H8271", walking|strong="H1981" in the midst|strong="H1459" of the fire|strong="H5135", and they have|strong="H0383" no|strong="H3809" hurt|strong="H2257"; and the form|strong="H7299" of the fourth|strong="H7244" is like|strong="H1821" the Son|strong="H1247" of God|strong="H0426".
Then|strong="H0116" Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" came near|strong="H7127" to the mouth|strong="H8651" of the burning|strong="H3345" fiery|strong="H5135" furnace|strong="H0861", and spake|strong="H6032", and said|strong="H0560", Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", ye servants|strong="H5649" of the most high|strong="H5943" God|strong="H0426", come forth|strong="H5312", and come|strong="H0858" hither. Then|strong="H0116" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", came forth|strong="H5312" of|strong="H4481" the midst|strong="H1459" of the fire|strong="H5135".
And the princes|strong="H0324", governors|strong="H5460", and captains|strong="H6347", and the king’s|strong="H4430" counsellors|strong="H1907", being gathered together|strong="H3673", saw|strong="H2370" these|strong="H0479" men|strong="H1400", upon whose bodies|strong="H1655" the fire|strong="H5135" had no|strong="H3809" power|strong="H7981", nor|strong="H3809" was an hair|strong="H8177" of their head|strong="H7217" singed|strong="H2761", neither|strong="H3809" were their coats|strong="H5622" changed|strong="H8133", nor|strong="H3809" the smell|strong="H7382" of fire|strong="H5135" had passed|strong="H5709" on them.
Then Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5020" spake|strong="H6032", and said|strong="H0560", Blessed|strong="H1289" be the God|strong="H0426" of Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", who hath sent|strong="H7972" his angel|strong="H4398", and delivered|strong="H7804" his servants|strong="H5649" that trusted|strong="H7365" in him|strong="H5922", and have changed|strong="H8133" the king’s|strong="H4430" word|strong="H4406", and yielded|strong="H3052" their bodies|strong="H1655", that they might not|strong="H3809" serve|strong="H6399" nor|strong="H3809" worship|strong="H5457" any|strong="H3606" god|strong="H0426", except|strong="H3861" their own God|strong="H0426".
Therefore I|strong="H4481" make|strong="H7761" a decree|strong="H2942", That every|strong="H3606" people|strong="H5972", nation|strong="H0524", and language|strong="H3961", which speak|strong="H0560" any thing amiss|strong="H7960" against|strong="H5922" the God|strong="H0426" of Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", shall be cut|strong="H5648" in pieces|strong="H1917", and their houses|strong="H1005" shall be made|strong="H7739" a dunghill|strong="H5122": because|strong="H6903" there is|strong="H0383" no|strong="H3809" other|strong="H0321" God|strong="H0426" that can|strong="H3202" deliver|strong="H5338" after this|strong="H1836" sort.
Then|strong="H0116" the king|strong="H4430" promoted|strong="H6744" Shadrach|strong="H7715", Meshach|strong="H4336", and Abed-nego|strong="H5665", in the province|strong="H4083" of Babylon|strong="H0895".
