1 The heads of the fathers’ households of the family of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near and spoke before Moses and before the princes, the heads of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel.
1 E os chefes dos pais da família dos filhos de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés, das famílias dos filhos de José, se aproximaram e falaram diante de Moisés, e diante dos príncipes, chefes das casas paternas dos filhos de Israel.
2 They said, “Yahweh commanded my lord to give the land for inheritance by lot to the children of Israel. My lord was commanded by Yahweh to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.
2 E disseram: O SENHOR ordenou que por sorte, o meu senhor desse a terra por herança aos filhos de Israel; e o meu senhor recebeu a ordem do SENHOR, para que a herança de Zelofeade, nosso irmão, fosse dada às suas filhas.
3 If they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of our fathers, and will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So it will be taken away from the lot of our inheritance.
3 E se elas se casarem com alguns dos filhos das outras tribos dos filhos de Israel, então a sua herança será tomada da herança de nossos pais, e será acrescentada à herança da tribo em que elas forem recebidas; assim se tirará da sorte da nossa herança.
4 When the jubilee of the children of Israel comes, then their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall belong. So their inheritance will be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.”
4 E quando chegar o jubileu dos filhos de Israel, então a sua herança se acrescentará à herança da tribo em que elas forem recebidas; assim a sua herança será tirada da herança da tribo de nossos pais.
5 Moses commanded the children of Israel according to Yahweh’s word, saying, “The tribe of the sons of Joseph speak what is right.
5 E Moisés ordenou aos filhos de Israel, segundo a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo: A tribo dos filhos de José disse bem.
6 This is the thing which Yahweh commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, ‘Let them be married to whom they think best, only they shall marry into the family of the tribe of their father.
6 Isto é o que o SENHOR ordenou, a respeito das filhas de Zelofeade, dizendo: Que se casem com quem acharem melhor, porém que se casem na família da tribo de seu pai.
7 So shall no inheritance of the children of Israel move from tribe to tribe; for the children of Israel shall all keep the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
7 Assim, a herança dos filhos de Israel não passará de tribo em tribo; porquanto, cada um dos filhos de Israel se manterá na herança da tribo de seus pais.
8 Every daughter who possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may each possess the inheritance of his fathers.
8 E toda filha que possuir alguma herança, em qualquer tribo dos filhos de Israel, se casará com um da família da tribo de seu pai, para que os filhos de Israel possuam cada homem, a herança de seus pais.
9 So shall no inheritance move from one tribe to another tribe; for the tribes of the children of Israel shall each keep his own inheritance.’”
9 A herança não passará de uma tribo a outra; mas cada tribo dos filhos de Israel se manterá na sua própria herança.
10 The daughters of Zelophehad did as Yahweh commanded Moses:
10 Como o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés, assim fizeram as filhas de Zelofeade.
11 for Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married to their father’s brothers’ sons.
11 Porque Macla, e Tirza, e Hogla, e Milca, e Noa, as filhas de Zelofeade, se casaram com os filhos dos irmãos de seus pais.
12 They were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph. Their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
12 E elas foram esposas nas famílias dos filhos de Manassés, filho de José, e a sua herança permaneceu na tribo da família de seu pai.
13 These are the commandments and the ordinances which Yahweh commanded by Moses to the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
13 Estes são os mandamentos e os juízos que o SENHOR ordenou, pela mão de Moisés, aos filhos de Israel, nas planícies de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, perto de Jericó.
