1 Iya kaiwae, hu viyathuŋgiya thanavu raraitharɨ; thama ghanjikwan o hu tabo taukwan o yamwakabu o thama hu utuutuvatharɨ gharɨgharɨ vavana weŋgi.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ghemi mbala ŋgoramiŋgiya gamagai amba gunagunagha, nuwanjiko mbe ina vara e thu; nuwamina mbe inawe vara unemina ghae moli na i varara yawalimina. Thoŋgo hu ghana ghanɨŋga e yawayawaliye, mbala mbe hu mbuthumbuthu voro vara e yawalimina.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Ŋgoreiya Buk Boboma i woraŋgiya, iŋa, “Kaero mbe ghamimberegha vara hu vaidi na hu ghareghare Giya iye i thovuye moli.”
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Hu rakamena weya Giya Jisas Krais, iye varɨ vurɨvurɨghegheniye na e yawayawaliye na gharɨgharɨ va thɨ botewoyathu na thɨŋava ma e ghathovuye, ko iyemaeŋge Loi va i tuthi na iyako i thovuye moli.

5 Hu rakamena, ghemi ŋgoramiya varɨ e yawayawaliye na Loi i vakaiwoŋaŋga na i vatada ŋgolo boboma e yawayawaliye. Ghemi ne hu kaiwo Jisas Krais le vurɨgheghe e tɨne ŋgoreiya ravowovowo boboma Loi kaiwae na hu vakatha lemi kururuna e yawayawaliye na Loi i warariŋa.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kaiwae Buk Boboma iŋa, “Kaerova ya tuthiya varɨ thovuye moli, ya worawe na Saiyon i ndeghathɨwe; na thela thoŋgo i loŋweghathɨ mane i monjina.”
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Thela ghemi hu loŋweghathɨ, varɨke iyake i laghɨye moli e ghemi; ko weŋgiya thavala ma thɨ loŋweghathɨ: “Iya varɨke ravatavatadɨke va thɨ botewo kaiwae ma e ghathovuye kaero i tabona varɨ thovuye moli.”
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Na Buk Boboma tembe iŋava, “Varɨke iyake gharɨgharɨ lenji ghamba thalatɨva, na varɨniye i vakathaŋgi na thɨ dobu.” Thɨ dobu kaiwae ma thɨ loŋweghathɨgha Toto Thovuye. Loi le renuwaŋa kaiwanji ŋgoreiye varako.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ko ghemi tututhi gharɨgharɨniye, Kiŋ le ravowovowoŋgi na kaero hu tabo le vanautuma boboma na ghamberegha moli le gharɨghara ghemi. Kaerova i tuthiŋga na i kula raŋgiyaŋga tharɨ e momouwoniye tɨne na hu rakaraŋgi ele vamoru manjamanjalaniye na mbala hu vatomwe weŋgiya gharɨgharɨ vavana iya Loi le thovuyeko.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Mbaŋa va i vivako Loi mava le gharɨghara ghemi, ko e mbaŋake iyake kaero le gharɨghara ghemi. Va e mbaŋako iyako mava hu ghareghareya Loi, ko e mbaŋake iyake kaero hu wo le gharevɨrɨ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ae wouna na valɨghareghareŋgu, ya naŋgo e ghemi; ghemi bobwari na hu mebobwari e yambaneke! Thava hu ru mbunɨma na madibe lenji renuwaŋa e tɨne, thiye unemina ghathɨghɨyaŋgi na thɨ wowogaithɨ mbaŋake wolaghɨye.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ghami thanavuna thiye ma thɨ loŋweghathɨ e maranjina mbe i thovuthovuye vara mbala thembaŋa thɨ wonjoweŋga na thɨŋa ghemi tharɨ gharavakatha, ne thɨ thuweya lemi vakatha na thovuye amba thɨ tarawe Loi mbaŋa ne i njoghama na i mbaro.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Giya e idae hu ghambugha rambarombaro lenji mbaro, ŋgoreiya Rom lenji Kiŋ iye rambarombaro laghɨye moli,

14 gawana regha na regha, iye i tuthiŋgi na i bigiraweŋgi na thɨ giya vuyowo weŋgiya tharɨ gharavakatha na thɨ taraweŋgiya thovuye gharavakatha.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kaiwae Loi le renuwaŋa nuwaiya hu kiya ragoriwoyathu na numounouno ghaenji lemi vakathana thovuye kaiwae.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Hu yaku ŋgoreiye rakarakayathu gharɨgharɨniye, ko iyemaeŋge thava hu vakaiwoŋa rakarakayathuna iyana na ŋgoreiya lemi varɨvoru na hu yabo tharɨwe, ko mbema hu yaku eŋge ŋgoreiya Loi le rakakaiwoŋgi.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Hu yavwatata wanaŋgiya gharɨgharɨke wolaghɨye, gharemi weŋgiya lemi valɨraloŋweloŋweghathɨ, weimi lemi gharemararu weya Loi na hu yavwatatawana Rom lenji Kiŋ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ghemi rakakaiwobwaga, hu ghambuŋgiya ghamigiyagiyana na hu vakatha yavwatata laghɨye weŋgi. Thava mbe hu vakatha weŋgi eŋge thavala thɨ woveŋga ghamwanji, ko tembe hu vakathava ŋgoreiye weŋgiya thavala thɨ biliŋga.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Kaiwae thoŋgo kaero lemi renuwaŋa ŋgoreiye na hu ghambugha Loi le renuwaŋa, iya kaiwae hu ghataŋaghathɨ ghavuyowo na vɨrɨ ma lemi renuwaŋa ŋgoreiye na hu vaidiŋgi, Loi ne ghare e ghemi.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Thoŋgo thɨ vakatha vuyowo e ghemi kaiwae hu vakatha tharɨ, ma e rɨgherɨghe na ne thɨ taraweŋga kaiwae hu ghataŋaghathɨ vuyowoniye. Ko iyemaeŋge thoŋgo hu vaidiya vuyowo kaiwae hu vakatha thovuye, na hu ghataŋaghathɨ, iyana Loi i warari kaiwae.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Iyana iya Loi va i kulana e ghemi na hu vakatha. Krais va i ghataŋa vɨrɨ kaiwami na i vakatha ghemi lemi ghamba thuwathuwa na hu ghambu. Mbala hu vakatha ŋgoreiya le vakathako.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 “Mava i vakatha mun tharɨ na ma kwan va i nderaŋgi mun e ghae.”
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Mbaŋa gharɨgharɨ thɨ utuvatharɨwe, mava i gonjogha weŋgi e utu raitharɨ. Mbaŋa i ghataŋa vɨrɨ, mava i vamararuŋgi, ko le renuwaŋako wolaghɨye va i woraweya Loi ghamidi, iye ratututhi thovuye moli.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Krais ghamberegha e riwaeko va i wo la tharɨ na i voro e kros vwatae, iya kaiwae e tharɨ kaero ra mare na Loi le renuwaŋa e tɨne ra yakuwe. Kaiwae Krais va i mare e kros vwatae ghinda ra vaidiya yawalinda ghathovuye moli.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ghemi va ŋgoramiya sip thɨ raka ghawe, ko iyemaeŋge e mbaŋake iyake kaero mendava hu njoghama na hu ghambugha sip Gharanjimbunjimbu, na iye yawalɨ gharanjimbukiki moli.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
