1 Hallelujah. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord;
1 Aleluia. Louvai o nome do Senhor, louvai-o, servos do Senhor,
2 Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
2 vós que estais no templo do Senhor, nos átrios da casa de nosso Deus.
3 Hallelujah; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is lovely.
3 Louvai o Senhor, porque ele é bom; cantai à glória de seu nome, porque ele é amável.
4 For Jacob hath the Lord chosen unto himself, Israel, as his peculiar treasure.
4 Pois o Senhor escolheu Jacó para si, ele tomou Israel por sua herança.
5 For I well know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
5 Em verdade, sei que o Senhor é grande, e nosso Deus é maior que todos os deuses.
6 Whatsoever the Lord willeth, hath he done in the heavens, and on the earth, in the seas, and in all the deeps.
6 O Senhor faz tudo o que lhe apraz, no céu e na terra, no mar e nas profundezas das águas.
7 He causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.
7 Ele chama as nuvens dos confins da terra, faz chover em meio aos relâmpagos, solta o vento de seus reservatórios.
8 He it is who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and of cattle;
8 Foi ele que feriu os primogênitos do Egito, tanto dos homens como dos brutos.
9 Who sent signs and wonderful tokens into the midst of thee, O Egypt, against Pharaoh, and against all his servants;
9 Realizou em ti, Egito, sinais e prodígios, contra o faraó de todos os seus servos.
10 Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;
10 Abateu numerosas nações, e exterminou reis poderosos:
11 Sichon the king of the Emorites, and Og the king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
11 Seon, rei dos amorreus; Og, rei de Basã, assim como todos os reis de Canaã.
12 And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
12 E deu a terra deles em herança, como patrimônio para Israel, seu povo.
13 O Lord, thy name endureth for ever: O Lord, thy memorial is throughout all generations.
13 Ó Senhor, vosso nome é eterno! Senhor, vossa lembrança passa de geração em geração,
14 For the Lord will espouse the cause of his people, and concerning his servants will he bethink himself.
14 pois o Senhor é o guarda de seu povo, e tem piedade de seus servos.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men.
15 Os ídolos dos pagãos não passam de prata e ouro, são obras de mãos humanas.
16 Mouths they have, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not;
16 Têm boca e não podem falar; têm olhos e não podem ver;
17 Ears they have, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
17 têm ouvidos e não podem ouvir. Não há respiração em sua boca.
18 Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.
18 Assemelhem-se a eles todos os que os fizeram, e todos os que neles confiam.
19 O house of Israel, bless ye the Lord; O house of Aaron, bless ye the Lord.
19 Casa de Israel, bendizei o Senhor; casa de Aarão, bendizei o Senhor;
20 O house of Levi, bless ye the Lord; ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
20 casa de Levi, bendizei o Senhor. Vós todos que o servis, bendizei o Senhor.
21 Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, even he that resideth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
21 De Sião seja bendito o Senhor, que habita em Jerusalém.
