1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the second year after their coming out of the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying,
1 No primeiro mês do segundo ano desde a saída de Israel do Egito, o S enhor falou com Moisés no deserto do Sinai e disse:
2 That the children of Israel shall prepare the passover–lamb at its appointed season.
2 “Instrua os israelitas a celebrarem a Páscoa no tempo determinado,
3 On the fourteenth day of this month, toward evening, shall ye prepare it at its appointed season: according to all its ordinances, and according to all its prescribed rules, shall ye prepare it.
3 ao entardecer do décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês. Siga todos os meus decretos e estatutos a respeito dessa celebração”.
4 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, that they should prepare the passover–lamb.
4 Então Moisés instruiu o povo a celebrar a Páscoa
5 And they prepared the passover–lamb on the fourteenth day of the first month toward evening in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 no deserto do Sinai, ao entardecer do décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês. Eles celebraram a festa ali, conforme o S enhor havia ordenado a Moisés.
6 But there were certain men, who had been defiled by the dead body of a man, and they could not prepare the passover–lamb on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.
6 Alguns dos homens, porém, estavam cerimonialmente impuros por terem tocado num cadáver, e não puderam celebrar a Páscoa naquele dia. Eles se dirigiram a Moisés e Arão no mesmo dia
7 And these men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore shall we be kept back, so as not to offer the sacrifice of the Lord at its appointed season in the midst of the other children of Israel?
7 e disseram: “Ficamos cerimonialmente impuros, pois tocamos num cadáver. Mas por que estamos impedidos de apresentar a oferta do S enhor no devido tempo como os demais israelitas?”.
8 And Moses said unto them, Wait ye, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.
8 Moisés respondeu: “Esperem aqui até eu receber instruções do S enhor para vocês”.
9 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
9 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés:
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man whatever should be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be on a distant journey, among you or your posterity: yet shall he prepare the passover–lamb unto the Lord;
10 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Se alguém do povo, agora ou nas gerações futuras, estiver cerimonialmente impuro no tempo da Páscoa por haver tocado num cadáver, ou se estiver viajando e não puder comparecer à cerimônia, ainda assim celebrará a Páscoa do S enhor .
11 In the second month on the fourteenth day toward evening shall they prepare it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.
11 Oferecerá um sacrifício de Páscoa um mês depois, ao entardecer do décimo quarto dia do segundo mês. Nessa ocasião, comerá o cordeiro de Páscoa, acompanhado de folhas verdes amargas e pão sem fermento.
12 They shall leave none of it until morning, and no bone shall they break on it: according to the whole ordinance of the passover–lamb shall they prepare it.
12 Não deixará sobrar coisa alguma do cordeiro até a manhã seguinte, e não quebrará osso algum do animal. Seguirá todos os decretos acerca da Páscoa.
13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to prepare the passover–lamb, even that same soul shall be cut off from his people; because the offering of the Lord hath he not brought at its appointed season, his sin shall that man bear.
13 “Aquele que estiver cerimonialmente puro e não estiver viajando, mas ainda assim não celebrar a Páscoa, será eliminado do meio do povo. Se não apresentar a oferta do S enhor no devido tempo, sofrerá as consequências de sua culpa.
14 And if a stranger sojourn among you, and will prepare the passover–lamb unto the Lord: according to the ordinance of the passover–lamb, and according to its prescribed rule, so shall he prepare it; one statute shall be for you, both for the stranger, and for the native born in the land.
14 E, se algum estrangeiro que vive entre vocês desejar celebrar a Páscoa do S enhor , deverá seguir os mesmos decretos. Esses decretos se aplicam tanto aos israelitas de nascimento como aos estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês”.
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle of the tent of the testimony: and in the evening there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.
15 No dia em que foi armado o tabernáculo, a tenda da aliança, a nuvem o cobriu. Desde o entardecer até o amanhecer, a nuvem sobre o tabernáculo parecia uma coluna de fogo.
16 So it used to be always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
16 Era assim que sempre acontecia: à noite, a nuvem que cobria o tabernáculo tinha a aparência de fogo.
17 And as the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that did the children of Israel journey forward: and in the place where the cloud halted, there did the children of Israel encamp.
17 Cada vez que a nuvem se elevava da tenda, o povo de Israel levantava acampamento e a seguia. No lugar onde a nuvem parava, eles acampavam.
18 At the order of the Lord did the children of Israel journey forward, and at the order of the Lord they encamped: all the days that the cloud abode upon the tabernacle did they remain in camp.
18 Assim, viajavam e acampavam por ordem do S enhor , para onde ele os conduzia. Enquanto a nuvem estava sobre o tabernáculo, permaneciam acampados.
19 And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then did the children of Israel keep the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not forward.
19 Se a nuvem ficava sobre o tabernáculo por muito tempo, os israelitas permaneciam ali e cumpriam suas obrigações para com o S enhor .
20 And at times it was, that the cloud remained but a few days upon the tabernacle; at the order of the Lord they abode in camp, and at the order of the Lord they journeyed forward.
20 Às vezes a nuvem permanecia apenas alguns dias sobre o tabernáculo, de modo que o povo também ficava apenas alguns dias, conforme o S enhor ordenava. Então, por ordem do S enhor , levantavam acampamento e seguiam viagem.
21 And at times it was, that the cloud remained from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed forward; or a day and a night, and when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed forward;
21 Às vezes a nuvem parava apenas durante a noite e se elevava na manhã seguinte. Dia ou noite, porém, quando a nuvem se elevava, os israelitas levantavam acampamento e seguiam viagem.
22 Or two days, or a month, or a year; so long as the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, to remain thereon, did the children of Israel remain encamped, and journeyed not forward; but when it was taken up, they journeyed forward.
22 Se a nuvem permanecia sobre o tabernáculo por dois dias, um mês ou um ano, ficavam acampados e não seguiam viagem. Mas, assim que a nuvem se elevava, levantavam acampamento e seguiam viagem.
23 At the order of the Lord they remained in camp, and at the order of the Lord they journeyed forward: the charge of the Lord they kept, at the order of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
23 Com isso, acampavam por ordem do S enhor e viajavam por ordem do S enhor , e cumpriam tudo que o S enhor lhes ordenava por meio de Moisés.
