1 And it came to pass after the plague, That the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Elazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
1 Depois daquela praga disse o Senhor a Moisés e a Eleazar, filho do sacerdote Arão:
2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the descent from their fathers, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.
2 Tomai a soma de toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, da idade de vinte anos para cima, segundo as casas e seus pais, todos os que em Israel podem sair à guerra.
3 And Moses with El’azar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,
3 Falaram-lhes, pois, Moisés e Eleazar o sacerdote, nas planícies de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó, dizendo:
4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.
4 Contai o povo da idade de vinte anos para cima; como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés e aos filhos de Israel que saíram da terra do Egito.
5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben, of Chanoch, the family of the Chanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
5 Rúben, o primogênito de Israel; os filhos de Rúben: de Hanoque, a família dos hanoquitas; de Palu, a família dos paluítas;
6 Of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
6 de Hezrom, a família dos hezronitas; de Carmi, a família dos carmitas.
7 These are the families of the Reubenites; and those that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
7 Estas são as famílias dos rubenitas; os que foram deles contados eram quarenta e três mil setecentos e trinta.
8 And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.
8 E o filho de Palu: Eliabe.
9 And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are Dathan and Abiram, men called to the assembly, who quarreled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korach, at the time they quarreled against the Lord;
9 Os filhos de Eliabe: Nemuel, Dato e Abirão. Estes são aqueles Datã e Abirão que foram chamados da congregação, os quais contenderam contra Moisés e contra Arão na companhia de Corá, quando contenderam contra o Senhor,
10 When the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korach, while that company died, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.
10 e a terra abriu a boca, e os tragou juntamente com Corá, quando pereceu aquela companhia; quando o fogo devorou duzentos e cinqüenta homens, os quais serviram de advertência.
11 But the sons of Korach did not die.
11 Todavia os filhos de Corá não morreram.
12 The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Yamin, the family of the Yaminites; of Yachin, the family of the Yachinites;
12 Os filhos de Simeão, segundo as suas famílias: de Nemuel, a família dos nemuelitas; de Jamim, a família dos jaminitas; de Jaquim, a família dos jaquinitas;
13 Of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
13 de Zerá, a família dos zeraítas; de Saul, a família dos saulitas.
14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
14 Estas são as famílias dos simeonitas, vinte e dois mil e duzentos.
15 The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Chaggi, the family of the Chaggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
15 Os filhos de Gade, segundo as suas famílias: de Zefom, a família dos zefonitas; de Hagui, a família dos haguitas; de Suni, a família dos sunitas;
16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of ‘Eri, the family of the ‘Erites;
16 de Ozni, a família dos oznitas; de Eri, a família dos eritas;
17 Of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites;
17 de Arode, a família dos aroditas; de Areli, a família dos arelitas.
18 These are the families of the children of Gad according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.
18 Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Gade, segundo os que foram deles contados, quarenta mil e quinhentos.
19 The sons of Judah were ‘Er and Onan; and ‘Er with Onan died in the land of Canaan.
19 Os filhos de Judá: Er e Onã; mas Er e Onã morreram na terra de Canaã.
20 And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Parzites; of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites.
20 Assim os filhos de Judá, segundo as suas famílias, eram: de Selá, a família dos selanitas; de Pérez, a família dos perezitas; de Zerá, a família dos zeraítas.
21 And the sons of Perez were: of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Chamul, the family of the Chamulites.
21 E os filhos de Pérez eram: de Hezrom, a família dos hezronitas; de Hamul, a família dos hamulitas.
22 These are the families of Judah, according to those that were numbered of them, seventy and six thousand and five hundred.
22 Estas são as famílias de Judá, segundo os que foram deles contados, setenta e seis mil e quinhentos.
23 The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola’, the family of the Tola’ites; of Puva, the family of the Punites;
23 Os filhos de Issacar, segundo as suas famílias: de Tola, a família dos tolaítas; de Puva, a família dos puvitas;
24 Of Yashub, the family of the Yashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
24 de Jasube, a família dos jasubitas; de Sinrom, a família dos sinronitas.
25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, sixty and four thousand and three hundred.
25 Estas são as famílias de Issacar, segundo os que foram deles contados, sessenta e quatro mil e trezentos:
26 The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Yachleel, the family of the Yachleelites.
26 Os filhos de Zebulom, segundo as suas famílias: de Serede, a família dos sereditas; de Elom, a família dos elonitas; de Jaleel, a família dos jaleelitas.
27 These are the families of the Zebulonites according to those that were numbered of them, sixty thousand and five hundred.
27 Estas são as famílias dos zebulonitas, segundo os que foram deles contados, sessenta mil e quinhentos.
28 The sons of Joseph after their families are Menasseh and Ephraim.
28 Os filhos de José, segundo as suas famílias: Manassés e Efraim.
29 The sons of Menasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gil’ad; of Gil’ad, the family of the Gil’adites.
29 Os filhos de Manassés: de Maquir, a família dos maquiritas; e Maquir gerou a Gileade; de Gileade, a família dos gileaditas.
30 These are the sons of Gil’ad: of I’ezer, the family of the I’ezerites; of Chelek, the family of the Chelkites;
30 Estes são os filhos de Gileade: de Iezer, a família dos iezritas; de Heleque, a família dos helequitas;
31 And of Assriel, the family of the Assrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shichmites;
31 de Asriel, a família dos asrielitas; de Siquém, a família dos siquemitas;
32 And of Shemida’, the family of the Shemida’ites; and of Chepher, the family of the Chephrites.
32 e de Semida, a família dos semidaítas; e de Hefer, a família dos heferitas.
33 And Zelophehad the son of Chepher had no sons, but only daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Machlah, and No’ah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
33 Ora, Zelofeade, filho de Hefer, não tinha filhos, senão filhas; e as filhas de Zelofeade chamavam-se Macla, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza.
34 These are the families of Menasseh; and those that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
34 Estas são as famílias de Manassés; os que foram deles contados, eram cinqüenta e dois mil e setecentos.
35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelach, the family of the Shuthalchites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tachan, the family of the Tachanites.
35 Estes são os filhos de Efraim, segundo as suas famílias: de Sutela, a família dos sutelaítas; de Bequer, a família dos bequeritas; de Taã, a família dos taanitas.
36 And these are the sons of Shuthelach: of ‘Eran, the family of the Eranites.
36 E estes são os filhos de Sutela: de Erã, a família dos eranitas.
37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred: these are the sons of Joseph after their families.
37 Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Efraim, segundo os que foram deles contados, trinta e dois mil e quinhentos. Estes são os filhos de José, segundo as suas famílias.
38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela’, the family of the Bal’ites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Achiram, the family of the Achiramites;
38 Os filhos de Benjamim, segundo as suas famílias: de Belá, a família dos belaítas; de Asbel, a família dos asbelitas; de Airão, a família dos airamitas;
39 Of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Chupham, the family of the Chuphamites.
39 de Sefufã, a família dos sufamitas; de Hufão, a família dos hufamitas.
40 And the sons of Bela’ were Ard and Na’aman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Na’aman, the family of the Na’amites.
40 E os filhos de Belá eram Arde e Naamã: de Arde a família dos arditas; de Naamã, a família dos naamitas.
41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
41 Estes são os filhos de Benjamim, segundo as suas famílias; os que foram deles contados, eram quarenta e cinco mil e seiscentos.
42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shucham, the family of the Shuchamites; these are the families of Dan after their families.
42 Estes são os filhos de Dã, segundo as suas famílias: de Suão a família dos suamitas. Estas são as famílias de Dã, segundo as suas famílias.
43 All the families of the Shuchamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were sixty and four thousand and four hundred.
43 Todas as famílias dos suamitas, segundo os que foram deles contados, eram sessenta e quatro mil e quatrocentos.
44 The children of Asher after their families: of Yimnah, the family of the Yimnites; of Yishvi, the family of the Yishvites; of Beri’ah, the family of the Beri’ites.
44 Os filhos de Aser, segundo as suas famílias: de Imná, a família dos imnitas; de Isvi, a família dos isvitas; de Berias, a família dos beritas.
45 Of the sons of Beri’ah: of Cheber, the family of the Chebrites; of Malkiel, the family of the Makielites.
45 Dos filhos de Berias: de Heber, a família dos heberitas; de Malquiel, a família dos malquielitas.
46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serach.
46 E a filha de Aser chamava-se Sera.
47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them, fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
47 Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Aser, segundo os que foram deles contados, cinqüenta e três mil e quatrocentos.
48 The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Yachzeel, the family of the Yachzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
48 Os filhos de Naftali, segundo as suas famílias: de Jazeel, a família dos jazeelitas; de Guni, a família dos gunitas;
49 Of Yezer, the family of the Yizrites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
49 de Jezer, a família dos jezeritas; de Silém, a família dos silemitas.
50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
50 Estas são as famílias de Naftali, segundo as suas famílias; os que foram deles contados, eram quarenta e cinco mil e quatrocentos.
51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand, and one thousand, seven hundred and thirty.
51 Estes são os que foram contados dos filhos de Israel, seiscentos e um mil setecentos e trinta.
52 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
52 Disse mais o senhor a Moisés:
53 Unto these shall the land be divided for an inheritance according to the number of the names.
53 A estes se repartirá a terra em herança segundo o número dos nomes.
54 To the large tribe shalt thou give the more inheritance, and to the small shalt thou give the less inheritance: to each according to those that were numbered thereof shall its inheritance be given.
54 À tribo de muitos darás herança maior, e à de poucos darás herança menor; a cada qual se dará a sua herança segundo os que foram deles contados.
55 Nevertheless, through the lot shall the land be divided: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers shall they obtain their inheritance.
55 Todavia a terra se repartirá por sortes; segundo os nomes das tribos de seus pais a herdarão.
56 By the decision of the lot shall the inheritance of each be divided, according as they are many or few.
56 Segundo sair a sorte, se repartirá a herança deles entre as tribos de muitos e as de poucos.
57 And these are those that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershunites: of Kehath, the family of the Kehathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
57 Também estes são os que foram contados dos levitas, segundo as suas famílias: de Gérson, a família dos gersonitas; de Coate, a família dos coatitas; de Merári, a família os meraritas.
58 These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Machlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korchites; and Kehath begat ‘Amran.
58 Estas são as famílias de Levi: a família dos libnitas, a família dos hebronitas, a família dos malitas, a família dos musitas, a família dos coraítas. Ora, Coate gerou a Anrão.
59 And the name of ‘Amram’s wife was Yochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt; and she bore unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
59 E a mulher de Anrão chamava-se Joquebede, filha de Levi, a qual nasceu a Levi no Egito; e de Anrão ela teve Arão e Moisés, e Miriã, irmã deles.
60 And there were born unto Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.
60 E a Arão nasceram Nadabe e Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered a strange fire before the Lord.
61 Mas Nadabe e Abiú morreram quando ofereceram fogo estranho perante o Senhor.
62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all the males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was not given unto them any inheritance among the children of Israel.
62 E os que foram deles contados eram vinte e três mil, todos os homens da idade de um mês para cima; porque não foram contados entre os filhos de Israel, porquanto não lhes foi dada herança entre os filhos de Israel.
63 These are those that were numbered by Moses and Elazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, opposite Jericho.
63 Esses são os que foram contados por Moisés e Eleazar, o sacerdote, que contaram os filhos de Israel nas planícies de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó.
64 And among these there was not one man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
64 Entre esses, porém, não se achava nenhum daqueles que tinham sido contados por Moisés e Arão, o sacerdote, quando contaram os filhos de Israel no deserto de Sinai.
65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness: and there was not left of them one man, save Caleb the son of Yephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
65 Porque o senhor dissera deles: Certamente morrerão no deserto; pelo que nenhum deles ficou, senão Calebe, filho de Jefoné, e Josué, filho de Num.
