¹ Salmo. Cântico para o dia de sábado. É bom louvar ao Senhor e cantar salmos ao vosso nome, ó Altíssimo;

² To show forth thy mercy in the morning and thy faithfulness every night

² proclamar, de manhã, a vossa misericórdia, e, durante a noite, a vossa fidelidade,

³ upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a pleasant sound.

³ com a harpa de dez cordas e com a lira, com cânticos ao som da cítara,

⁴ For thou, O LORD, hast made me glad with thy work; I will delight in the works of thy hands.

⁴ pois vós me alegrais, Senhor, com vossos feitos; exulto com as obras de vossas mãos.

⁵ O LORD, how great are thy works! [and] thy thoughts are very deep.

⁵ Senhor, estupendas são as vossas obras! E quão profundos os vossos desígnios!

⁶ A carnal man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:

⁶ Não compreende estas coisas o insensato, nem as percebe o néscio.

⁷ The wicked spring forth as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity blossom, [so] that they shall be destroyed for ever:

⁷ Ainda que floresçam os ímpios como a relva, e floresçam os que praticam a maldade, eles estão à perda eterna destinados.

⁸ But thou, O LORD, [art most] high for evermore.

⁸ Vós, porém, Senhor, sois o Altíssimo por toda a eternidade.

⁹ For, behold, thine enemies, O LORD, for behold, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

⁹ Eis que vossos inimigos, Senhor, vossos inimigos hão de perecer, serão dispersados todos os artesãos do mal.

¹⁰ But my horn shalt thou exalt like [the horn of] a unicorn; I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

¹⁰ Exaltastes a minha cabeça como a do búfalo, e com óleo puríssimo me ungistes.

¹¹ And my eye saw [my desire] on my enemies, [and] my ears heard [my desire] of those that rose up against me, of the wicked.

¹¹ Meus olhos vêem os inimigos com desprezo, e meus ouvidos ouvem com prazer o que aconteceu aos que praticam o mal.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

¹² Como a palmeira, florescerão os justos, elevar-se-ão como o cedro do Líbano.

¹³ Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

¹³ Plantados na casa do Senhor, nos átrios de nosso Deus hão de florir.

¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be vigorous and flourishing

¹⁴ Até na velhice eles darão frutos, continuarão cheios de seiva e verdejantes,

¹⁵ to show that the LORD is upright; [he is] my rock, and [there is] no unrighteousness in him.:

¹⁵ para anunciarem quão justo é o Senhor, meu rochedo, e como não há nele injustiça.
