1 And the Lord spake to Moses, and to Aaron, saying,

2 This is the ordinance of the lawe, which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speake vnto the children of Israel that they bring thee a red kow without blemish, wherein is no spot, vpon the which neuer came yoke.
2 dessem aos israelitas a seguinte ordem: — Tragam uma novilha vermelha sem defeito e que ainda não tenha trabalhado na lavoura
3 And ye shall giue her vnto Eleazar ye Priest, that hee may bring her without the hoste, and cause her to be slaine before his face.
3 e entreguem ao sacerdote Eleazar. Ela deverá ser levada para fora do acampamento e será morta ali na frente dele.
4 Then shall Eleazar the Priest take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle it before the Tabernacle of the Congregation seuen times,
4 Então Eleazar pegará o sangue e com o dedo o borrifará sete vezes na direção da entrada da Tenda Sagrada .
5 And cause the kow to be burnt in his sight: with her skinne, and her flesh, and her blood, and her doung shall he burne her.
5 Em seguida a novilha será queimada na frente dele. Serão queimados o couro, a carne, o sangue e as tripas.
6 Then shall the Priest take cedar wood, and hyssope and skarlet lace, and cast them in the mids of the fire where the kow burneth.
6 O sacerdote pegará um pedaço de madeira de cedro, um galho de hissopo e lã tingida de vermelho e os jogará no fogo em que a novilha estiver sendo queimada.
7 Then shall the Priest wash his clothes, and he shall wash his flesh in water, and then come into the hoste, and the Priest shalbe vncleane vnto the euen.
7 Aí ele lavará a roupa que estiver vestindo e tomará um banho e depois poderá entrar no acampamento. Mas ficará impuro até o pôr do sol.
8 Also he that burneth her, shall wash his clothes in water, and wash his flesh in water, and be vncleane vntill euen.
8 Aquele que queimar a novilha também lavará a roupa que estiver vestindo e tomará um banho, mas ficará impuro até o pôr do sol.
9 And a man, that is cleane, shall take vp the ashes of the kow, and put them without the hoste in a cleane place: and it shalbe kept for the Congregation of the children of Israel for a sprinkling water: it is a sinne offring.
9 Um homem que esteja puro ajuntará as cinzas da novilha e as colocará fora do acampamento, num lugar puro. Ali elas serão guardadas pelo povo de Israel para serem usadas na preparação da água que tira a impureza das pessoas. Essa cerimônia serve para tirar pecados.
10 Therefore he that gathereth the ashes of the kow, shall wash his clothes, and remaine vncleane vntil euen: and it shalbe vnto the children of Israel, and vnto the stranger that dwelleth among them, a statute for euer.
10 Aquele que ajuntar as cinzas deverá lavar a roupa que estiver vestindo, mas ficará impuro até o pôr do sol. Essa lei será para sempre, tanto para os israelitas como para os estrangeiros que moram com vocês.
11 Hee that toucheth the dead body of any man, shalbe vncleane euen seuen dayes.
11 — Quem tocar em algum defunto ficará impuro sete dias.
12 Hee shall purifie himselfe therewith the third day, and the seuenth day he shall be cleane: but if he purifie not himselfe the thirde day, then the seuenth day he shall not be cleane.
12 No terceiro dia e no sétimo essa pessoa deverá se purificar com a água da purificação e ficará pura . Mas, se ela não se purificar no terceiro dia e no sétimo, não ficará pura.
13 Whosoeuer toucheth ye corps of any man that is dead, and purgeth not himselfe, defileth the Tabernacle of the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from Israel, because the sprinkling water was not sprinkled vpon him: he shall be vncleane, and his vncleannesse shall remaine still vpon him.
13 Toda pessoa que tocar num defunto e não se purificar ficará impura porque a água da purificação não foi jogada sobre ela. Ela faz com que a Tenda de Deus, o Senhor , fique impura. Essa pessoa não pertencerá mais ao povo de Israel.
14 This is the law, Whe a man dieth in a tent, all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shalbe vncleane seuen dayes,
14 — Se alguém morrer numa barraca, quem entrar nela ou estiver nela ficará impuro sete dias.
15 And all the vessels that bee open, which haue no couering fastened vpon them, shall be vncleane.
15 O pote ou jarro que estiver aberto ou destampado ficará impuro.
16 Also whosoeuer toucheth one that is slaine with a sworde in the fielde, or a dead person, or a bone of a dead man, or a graue, shall be vncleane seuen dayes.
16 Se no campo alguém tocar numa pessoa que foi morta ou teve morte natural, ou tocar em qualquer osso de gente ou numa sepultura, ficará impuro sete dias.
17 Therfore for an vncleane person they shall take of the burnt ashes of the sinne offring, and pure water shalbe put thereto in a vessel.
17 — Para purificarem essa pessoa que ficou impura, vocês deverão pegar as cinzas da novilha vermelha que foi queimada como oferta para tirar o pecado, deverão colocá-las dentro de um pote e derramar água limpa em cima.
18 And a cleane person shall take hyssope and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it vpon the tent, and vpon all the vessels, and on the persons that were therein, and vpon him that touched ye bone, or the slayne, or the dead, or the graue.
18 No caso de alguém ter tocado num defunto, um homem que esteja puro pegará um galho de hissopo , molhará naquela água e com ela borrifará a barraca e todas as coisas e pessoas que estiverem ali dentro. Se alguém tiver tocado em osso de gente ou numa sepultura, deverá ser borrifado com a água da purificação por uma pessoa que esteja pura.
19 And the cleane person shall sprinkle vpon the vncleane the third day, and the seuenth day, and hee shall purifie him selfe the seuenth day, and wash his clothes, and wash himself in water, and shalbe cleane at euen.
19 No terceiro dia e no sétimo quem estiver puro borrifará água sobre a pessoa impura. No sétimo dia a pessoa ficará pura. Ela deverá lavar a roupa que estiver vestindo, e tomará um banho, e ao pôr do sol ficará pura.
20 But the man that is vncleane and purifieth not himselfe, that person shalbe cut off from among the Congregation, because hee hath defiled the Sanctuarie of the Lord: and the sprinkling water hath not bene sprinkled vpon him: therefore shall he be vncleane.
20 — No entanto, quem estiver impuro e não se purificar ficará impuro porque a água da purificação não foi borrifada nele. Essa pessoa fez com que a Tenda do Senhor ficasse impura e por isso essa pessoa será expulsa do meio do povo de Israel.
21 And it shalbe a perpetual lawe vnto them, that he that sprinkleth the sprinkling water, shall wash his clothes: also hee that toucheth the sprinkling water, shalbe vncleane vntill euen.
21 Vocês deverão obedecer a essa lei para sempre. A pessoa que borrifar a água da purificação deverá lavar a roupa que estiver vestindo. E quem tocar na água ficará impuro até o pôr do sol.
22 And whatsoeuer the vncleane person toucheth, shall be vncleane: and the person that toucheth him, shalbe vncleane vntill the euen.
22 Tudo o que uma pessoa impura tocar ficará impuro; e quem tocar nessa pessoa também ficará impuro até o pôr do sol.
