1 Afterward Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses, because of the woman of Ethiopia whome hee had maried (for hee had married a woman of Ethiopia)
1 E falaram Miriã e Arão contra Moisés, por causa da mulher cusita, com quem casara; porquanto tinha casado com uma mulher cusita.
2 And they saide, What? hath the Lord spoken but onely by Moses? hath he not spoken also by vs? and the Lord heard this.
2 E disseram: Porventura falou o Senhor somente por Moisés? Não falou também por nós? E o Senhor o ouviu.
3 (But Moses was a verie meeke man, aboue all the men that were vpon the earth)
3 E era o homem Moisés mui manso, mais do que todos os homens que havia sobre a terra.
4 And by and by the Lord sayd vnto Moses, and vnto Aaron, and vnto Miriam, come out yee three vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and they three came forth.
4 E logo o Senhor disse a Moisés, a Arão e a Miriã: Vós três saí à tenda da congregação. E saíram eles três.
5 Then the Lord came downe in the pillar of the cloude, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forth.
5 Então o Senhor desceu na coluna de nuvem, e se pôs à porta da tenda; depois chamou a Arão e a Miriã e ambos saíram.
6 And hee saide, Heare nowe my wordes, If there be a Prophet of the Lord among you, I will be knowen to him by a vision, and will speake vnto him by dreame.
6 E disse: Ouvi agora as minhas palavras; se entre vós houver profeta, eu, o Senhor, em visão a ele me farei conhecer, ou em sonhos falarei com ele.
7 My seruant Moses is not so, who is faithfull in all mine house.
7 Não é assim com o meu servo Moisés que é fiel em toda a minha casa.
8 Vnto him will I speake mouth to mouth, and by vision, and not in darke wordes, but hee shall see the similitude of the Lord. Wherefore then were ye not afraid to speake against my seruant, euen against Moses?
8 Boca a boca falo com ele, claramente e não por enigmas; pois ele vê a semelhança do Senhor; por que, pois, não tivestes temor de falar contra o meu servo, contra Moisés?
9 Thus the Lord was very angrie with them, and departed.
9 Assim a ira do Senhor contra eles se acendeu; e retirou-se.
10 Also the cloude departed from the Tabernacle: and beholde, Miriam was leprous like snowe: and Aaron looked vpon Miriam, and beholde, she was leprous.
10 E a nuvem se retirou de sobre a tenda; e eis que Miriã ficou leprosa como a neve; e olhou Arão para Miriã, e eis que estava leprosa.
11 Then Aaron saide vnto Moses, Alas, my Lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sinne vpon vs, which we haue foolishly committed and wherein we haue sinned.
11 Por isso Arão disse a Moisés: Ai, senhor meu, não ponhas sobre nós este pecado, pois agimos loucamente, e temos pecado.
12 Let her not, I pray thee, be as one dead, of whome the flesh is halfe consumed, when he commeth out of his mothers wombe.
12 Ora, não seja ela como um morto, que saindo do ventre de sua mãe, a metade da sua carne já esteja consumida.
13 Then Moses cryed vnto the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech thee, heale her nowe.
13 Clamou, pois, Moisés ao Senhor, dizendo: Ó Deus, rogo-te que a cures.
14 And the Lord said vnto Moses, If her father had spit in her face, shoulde she not haue bene ashamed seuen dayes? let her be shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and after she shall bee receiued.
14 E disse o Senhor a Moisés: Se seu pai cuspira em seu rosto, não seria envergonhada sete dias? Esteja fechada sete dias fora do arraial, e depois a recolham.
15 So Miriam was shut out of the hoste seuen dayes, and the people remooued not, till Miriam was brought in againe.
15 Assim Miriã esteve fechada fora do arraial sete dias, e o povo não partiu, até que recolheram a Miriã.
16 — ausente —
16 Porém, depois o povo partiu de Hazerote; e acampou-se no deserto de Parã.
