1 Henceforth, my brethren, pray for us, that the word of our Lord may run and be glorified in every place, as among you.
1 No demais, irmãos, rogai por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor tenha livre curso e seja glorificada, como também o é entre vós;
2 And that we may be delivered from wicked men and perverse; for every man hath not faith.
2 E para que sejamos livres de homens dissolutos e maus; porque a fé não é de todos.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who will keep you and deliver you from evil.
3 Mas fiel é o Senhor, que vos confirmará, e guardará do maligno.
4 But we confide concerning you in our Lord, that what we have commanded you, you have done,
4 E confiamos quanto a vós no Senhor, que não só fazeis como fareis o que vos mandamos.
5 and also are doing. And our Lord will direct your hearts to the love of Aloha, and to the patience of the Meshiha.
5 Ora o Senhor encaminhe os vossos corações no amor de Deus, e na paciência de Cristo.
6 But we command you, my brethren, in the name of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, that you remove from every brother who walketh wickedly, and not according to the precepts which he hath received from us.
6 Mandamo-vos, porém, irmãos, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que vos aparteis de todo o irmão que anda desordenadamente, e não segundo a tradição que de nós recebeu.
7 For you know how it behoveth to imitate us who walked not wickedly among you.
7 Porque vós mesmos sabeis como convém imitar-nos, pois que não nos houvemos desordenadamente entre vós,
8 Neither did we eat bread for nothing from any one of you; but with labour and weariness by night and by day we wrought, that upon no one of you we might be burdensome.
8 Nem de graça comemos o pão de homem algum, mas com trabalho e fadiga, trabalhando noite e dia, para não sermos pesados a nenhum de vós.
9 Not because we had not power, but because in ourselves we would give you an example, that you may imitate us.
9 Não porque não tivéssemos autoridade, mas para vos dar em nós mesmos exemplo, para nos imitardes.
10 For while we were with you, this we commanded you, that every one who willeth not to work, neither should he eat.
10 Porque, quando ainda estávamos convosco, vos mandamos isto, que, se alguém não quiser trabalhar, não coma também.
11 For we hear that there are some among you who walk wickedly, and nothing work, unless vain things.
11 Porquanto ouvimos que alguns entre vós andam desordenadamente, não trabalhando, antes fazendo coisas vãs.
12 But these we command, and entreat of them by our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, that with quietness they work, and eat their (own) bread.
12 A esses tais, porém, mandamos, e exortamos por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que, trabalhando com sossego, comam o seu próprio pão.
13 But you, my brethren, be not weary in doing what is good.
13 E vós, irmãos, não vos canseis de fazer o bem.
14 And if any man hearken not to these our words in the epistle, let this be separate from you, and be not mixed with him, that he be shamed.
14 Mas, se alguém não obedecer à nossa palavra por esta carta, notai o tal, e não vos mistureis com ele, para que se envergonhe.
15 Yet, not as an enemy hold him, but admonish him as a brother.
15 Todavia não o tenhais como inimigo, mas admoestai-o como irmão.
16 But the Lord of peace himself will give you peace always, in every thing. Our Lord be with you all.
16 Ora, o mesmo Senhor da paz vos dê sempre paz de toda a maneira.O Senhor seja com todos vós.
17 Salutation, by the writing of my hand, I, PAULOS, have written; which is the sign in all my epistles, so I write.
17 Saudação da minha própria mão, de mim, Paulo, que é o sinal em todas as epístolas; assim escrevo.
18 The grace of Jeshu Meshiha be with you all, my brethren. Amen.
18 A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com todos vós. Amém.
