2 for|strong="G1063" through|strong="G1722" your|strong="G2532" union with|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424", the|strong="G1722" Law|strong="G3551" of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1722" life-giving Spirit|strong="G4151" has|strong="G5547" set|strong="G1659" you|strong="G4771" free|strong="G1659" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" Law|strong="G3551" of|strong="G4151" sin and|strong="G2532" death|strong="G2288".
3 What|strong="G3739" Law|strong="G3551" could|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3739" do|strong="G2532", in|strong="G1722" so|strong="G2532" far|strong="G3588" as|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2316" earthly|strong="G4561" nature weakened its|strong="G1223" action, God|strong="G2316" did|strong="G2532", by|strong="G1223" sending|strong="G3992" his|strong="G1438" own|strong="G1438" Son|strong="G5207", with|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" nature resembling|strong="G3667" our|strong="G2316" sinful nature, to|strong="G2532" atone for|strong="G1063" sin. He|strong="G2532" condemned|strong="G2632" sin in|strong="G1722" that|strong="G3739" earthly|strong="G4561" nature,
4 so|strong="G2443" that|strong="G2443" the|strong="G1722" requirements|strong="G1345" of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1722" Law|strong="G3551" might|strong="G1473" be|strong="G3361" satisfied in|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2249" who|strong="G3588" live|strong="G4043" now|strong="G1722" in|strong="G1722" obedience, not|strong="G3361" to|strong="G2443" our|strong="G1722" earthly|strong="G4561" nature, but|strong="G3361" to|strong="G2443" the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151".
5 They|strong="G1161" who|strong="G3588" follow|strong="G1161" their|strong="G2596" earthly|strong="G4561" nature are|strong="G1510" earthly-minded, while|strong="G1161" they|strong="G1161" who|strong="G3588" follow|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151" are|strong="G1510" spiritually|strong="G4151" minded|strong="G5426".
6 To|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" earthly-minded means death|strong="G2288", to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" spiritually|strong="G4151" minded|strong="G5427" means life|strong="G2222" and|strong="G2532" peace|strong="G1515";
7 because|strong="G1063" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G3756" earthly-minded is|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G3756" an|strong="G1519" enemy to|strong="G1519" God|strong="G2316", for|strong="G1063" such|strong="G3588" a|strong="G1519" mind|strong="G5427" does|strong="G3761" not|strong="G3756" submit|strong="G5293" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1519" Law|strong="G3551" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316", nor|strong="G3761" indeed|strong="G1063" can|strong="G1410" it|strong="G1063" do|strong="G1410" so|strong="G1519".

Unless|strong="G1487" a|strong="G2192" person|strong="G5100" has|strong="G2192" the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151" of|strong="G4151" Christ|strong="G5547", they|strong="G1161" do|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" belong|strong="G1510" to|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547";
10 but|strong="G1161", if|strong="G1487" Christ|strong="G5547" is|strong="G3588" within|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210", then|strong="G1161", though|strong="G1487" the|strong="G1722" body|strong="G4983" is|strong="G3588" dead|strong="G3498" as|strong="G1722" a|strong="G1722" consequence of|strong="G4151" sin, the|strong="G1722" spirit|strong="G4151" is|strong="G3588" life|strong="G2222" as|strong="G1722" a|strong="G1722" consequence of|strong="G4151" righteousness|strong="G1343".

12 So|strong="G3767" then|strong="G3767", friends, we|strong="G1510" owe nothing|strong="G3756" to|strong="G2596" our|strong="G2596" earthly|strong="G4561" nature, that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G1510" should|strong="G3588" live|strong="G2198" in|strong="G2596" obedience to|strong="G2596" it|strong="G1510".
13 If|strong="G1487" you|strong="G1487" live|strong="G2198" in|strong="G2596" obedience to|strong="G2596" your|strong="G1487" earthly|strong="G4561" nature, you|strong="G1487" will|strong="G3195" inevitably die|strong="G2289"; but|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487", by|strong="G2596" the|strong="G1161" power of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151", you|strong="G1487" put|strong="G2289" an|strong="G1161" end to|strong="G2596" the|strong="G1161" evil habits of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1161" body|strong="G4983", you|strong="G1487" will|strong="G3195" live|strong="G2198".
14 All|strong="G3745" who|strong="G3745" are|strong="G1510" guided by|strong="G1063" the|strong="G1063" Spirit|strong="G4151" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316" are|strong="G1510" children|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316".

16 The|strong="G3588" Spirit|strong="G4151" himself unites with|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2316" spirits|strong="G4151" in|strong="G2316" bearing|strong="G4828" witness|strong="G4828" to|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2316" being|strong="G1510" God|strong="G2316"’s children|strong="G5043",
17 and|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1487" children|strong="G5043", then|strong="G2532" heirs|strong="G2818" – heirs|strong="G2818" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" joint heirs|strong="G2818" with|strong="G2532" Christ|strong="G5547", since|strong="G1512" we|strong="G2532" share Christ|strong="G5547"’s sufferings in|strong="G2532" order|strong="G2443" that|strong="G2443" we|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" share his|strong="G2532" glory.
18 I|strong="G1473" do|strong="G1063" not|strong="G3756" count|strong="G3049" the|strong="G1519" sufferings|strong="G3804" of|strong="G1391" our|strong="G4314" present|strong="G3568" life worthy of|strong="G1391" mention when|strong="G3754" compared with|strong="G4314" the|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391" that|strong="G3754" is|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G3756" revealed and|strong="G1391" bestowed|strong="G1519" on|strong="G1519" us|strong="G1519".
19 All|strong="G3588" nature awaits with|strong="G2316" eager expectation the|strong="G3588" appearing of|strong="G5207" the|strong="G3588" sons|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316".
20 For|strong="G1063" nature was|strong="G3588" made|strong="G3756" subject|strong="G5293" to|strong="G1909" imperfection – not|strong="G3756" by|strong="G1223" its|strong="G1223" own choice, but|strong="G1063" owing to|strong="G1909" him|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" made|strong="G3756" it|strong="G1063" so|strong="G1223" –
21 yet|strong="G2532" not|strong="G2532" without|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" hope|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" some|strong="G3588" day|strong="G3588" nature, also|strong="G2532", will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2532" set|strong="G1659" free|strong="G1659" from|strong="G2532" enslavement to|strong="G1519" decay, and|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" attain to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" freedom|strong="G1657" which|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2316" mark the|strong="G2532" glory|strong="G1391" of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G2532" children|strong="G5043" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316".
22 We|strong="G3754" know|strong="G1492", indeed|strong="G2532", that|strong="G3754" all|strong="G3956" nature alike has|strong="G3748" been|strong="G2532" groaning in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" pains|strong="G4944" of|strong="G2532" labour to|strong="G2532" this|strong="G3588" very|strong="G2532" hour.
23 And|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" nature only|strong="G3440"; but|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" ourselves|strong="G1438" also|strong="G2532", though|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" have|strong="G2192" already a|strong="G2192" first|strong="G3588" gift of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151" – we|strong="G2249" ourselves|strong="G1438" are|strong="G3588" inwardly|strong="G1722" groaning, while|strong="G1722" we|strong="G2249" eagerly await our|strong="G2532" full|strong="G2192" adoption|strong="G5206" as|strong="G1722" sons|strong="G5206" – the|strong="G1722" redemption of|strong="G4151" our|strong="G2532" bodies|strong="G4983".
24 By|strong="G2532" our|strong="G2532" hope|strong="G1680" we|strong="G3739" were|strong="G1510" saved|strong="G4982". 26 So|strong="G2532", also|strong="G2532", the|strong="G2532" Spirit|strong="G4151" supports us|strong="G2249" in|strong="G2532" our|strong="G2532" weakness. We|strong="G2249" do|strong="G5101" not|strong="G3756" even|strong="G2532" know|strong="G1492" how|strong="G5101" to|strong="G2532" pray|strong="G4336" as|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2249" should|strong="G1163"; but|strong="G1161" the|strong="G2532" Spirit|strong="G4151" himself pleads for|strong="G1063" us|strong="G2249" in|strong="G2532" sighs that|strong="G3588" can|strong="G1063" find no|strong="G3756" utterance.
27 Yet|strong="G1161" he|strong="G1161" who|strong="G5101" searches|strong="G2045" all|strong="G2596" our|strong="G2316" hearts|strong="G2588" knows|strong="G1492" what|strong="G5101" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151"’s meaning is|strong="G3588", because|strong="G3754" the|strong="G1161" pleadings of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151" for|strong="G3754" Christ’s people|strong="G1492" are|strong="G3588" in|strong="G2596" accordance|strong="G2596" with|strong="G2316" his|strong="G2596" will|strong="G2316".
28 But|strong="G1161" we|strong="G3754" do|strong="G1492" know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" causes|strong="G4903" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" to|strong="G1519" work|strong="G4903" together|strong="G4903" for|strong="G3754" the|strong="G1519" good|strong="G3956" of|strong="G2316" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" love him|strong="G3588" – those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" have|strong="G3748" received the|strong="G1519" call in|strong="G1519" accordance|strong="G2596" with|strong="G2316" his|strong="G3956" purpose|strong="G4286".
29 For|strong="G3754" those|strong="G3588" whom|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2532" chose from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" first|strong="G3588" he|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" destined from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" first|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G1510" transformed into|strong="G1519" likeness|strong="G1504" to|strong="G1519" his|strong="G1519" Son|strong="G5207", so|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3754" his|strong="G1519" Son|strong="G5207" might|strong="G2532" be|strong="G1510" the|strong="G1722" eldest among|strong="G1722" many|strong="G4183" brothers and|strong="G2532" sisters.

32 God|strong="G2532" did|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" withhold his|strong="G3956" own|strong="G2398" Son|strong="G5207", but|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G3860" him|strong="G3588" up|strong="G3860" on|strong="G5228" behalf|strong="G5228" of|strong="G5207" us|strong="G5483" all|strong="G3956"; will|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756", then|strong="G2532", with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G3588", freely|strong="G5483" give|strong="G5483" us|strong="G5483" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956"?

He|strong="G3588" who|strong="G5101" pronounces them|strong="G3588" righteous|strong="G1344" is|strong="G3588" God|strong="G2316"!
34 Who|strong="G3739" is|strong="G1510" there|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2532" condemn|strong="G2632" them|strong="G3588"? 36 Scripture|strong="G1125" says – “For|strong="G3754" your|strong="G3650" sake|strong="G1752" we|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3588" being|strong="G4771" killed|strong="G2289" all|strong="G3650" the|strong="G3588" day|strong="G2250" long|strong="G2250", We|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3588" regarded|strong="G3049" as|strong="G5613" sheep|strong="G4263" to|strong="G2289" be|strong="G3588" slaughtered|strong="G4967".”
