1 My|strong="G1699" friends, my|strong="G1699" heart|strong="G2588"’s desire|strong="G2107" and|strong="G2532" prayer|strong="G1162" to|strong="G1519" God|strong="G2316" for|strong="G1519" my|strong="G1699" people|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" for|strong="G1519" their|strong="G2532" salvation|strong="G4991".
2 I|strong="G1063" can|strong="G1063" testify|strong="G3140" that|strong="G3754" they|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3748" zealous|strong="G2205" for|strong="G1063" the|strong="G2596" honour of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316"; but|strong="G1063" they|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3748" not|strong="G3756" guided by|strong="G2596" true|strong="G1922" insight,
3 for|strong="G1063", in|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" ignorance of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G2532" divine righteousness|strong="G1343", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" eagerness to|strong="G2532" set|strong="G2476" up|strong="G2476" a|strong="G2532" righteousness|strong="G1343" of|strong="G2316" their|strong="G2532" own|strong="G2398", they|strong="G2532" refused|strong="G3756" to|strong="G2532" accept with|strong="G2532" submission the|strong="G2532" divine righteousness|strong="G1343".
4 For|strong="G1063" Christ|strong="G5547" has|strong="G5547" brought|strong="G1519" Law|strong="G3551" to|strong="G1519" an|strong="G1519" end|strong="G5056", so|strong="G1519" that|strong="G3588" righteousness|strong="G1343" may|strong="G5547" be|strong="G3956" obtained by|strong="G1519" everyone|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" believes|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588".
5 For|strong="G1063" Moses|strong="G3475" writes|strong="G1125" that|strong="G3754", as|strong="G1722" for|strong="G1063" the|strong="G1722" righteousness|strong="G1343" which|strong="G3588" results from|strong="G1537" Law|strong="G3551", those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" practice|strong="G4160" it|strong="G3754" will|strong="G4160" find life|strong="G2198" through|strong="G1722" it|strong="G3754".

7 “or|strong="G2228" ‘Who|strong="G5101" will|strong="G5101" go|strong="G2597" down|strong="G2597" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1519" depths below?’” (which|strong="G3588" means|strong="G1510" to|strong="G1519" bring|strong="G1519" Christ|strong="G5547" up|strong="G1519" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1519" dead|strong="G3498").
8 No|strong="G2532", but|strong="G2532" what|strong="G5101" does|strong="G1510" it|strong="G2532" say|strong="G3004"? “The|strong="G1722" message|strong="G4487" is|strong="G1510" near|strong="G1451" you|strong="G4771", on|strong="G1722" your|strong="G2532" lips|strong="G4750" and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" your|strong="G2532" heart|strong="G2588"” (which|strong="G3739" means|strong="G1510" “The|strong="G1722" message|strong="G4487" of|strong="G2532" faith|strong="G4102"” which|strong="G3739" we|strong="G3739" proclaim|strong="G2784").

10 For|strong="G1063" with|strong="G1519" their|strong="G1519" hearts|strong="G2588" people believe|strong="G4100" and|strong="G1161" so|strong="G1161" attain to|strong="G1519" righteousness|strong="G1343", while|strong="G1161" with|strong="G1519" their|strong="G1519" lips|strong="G4750" they|strong="G1161" make|strong="G1519" their|strong="G1519" profession of|strong="G1343" faith|strong="G4100" and|strong="G1161" so|strong="G1161" find salvation|strong="G4991".
11 As|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3956" passage of|strong="G1909" scripture|strong="G1124" says|strong="G3004" – “No|strong="G3756" one|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" believes|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1909" him|strong="G3588" will|strong="G3956" have|strong="G3956" any|strong="G3956" cause|strong="G3588" for|strong="G1063" shame|strong="G2617".”
12 For|strong="G1063" no|strong="G3756" distinction|strong="G1293" is|strong="G1510" made|strong="G3756" between|strong="G5037" the|strong="G2532" Jew|strong="G2453" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Greek|strong="G1672", for|strong="G1063" all|strong="G3956" have|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" same|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" bountiful to|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" invoke him|strong="G3588".

15 And|strong="G1161" how|strong="G4459" is|strong="G3588" anyone|strong="G1437" to|strong="G1161" proclaim|strong="G2784" him|strong="G3588" unless|strong="G1437" they|strong="G1161" are|strong="G3588" sent|strong="G1125" as|strong="G5613" his|strong="G5613" messengers? As|strong="G5613" scripture|strong="G1125" says – “How|strong="G4459" beautiful|strong="G5611" are|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1161" feet|strong="G4228" of|strong="G3588" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" bring|strong="G2097" good|strong="G2097" news|strong="G2097"!”
16 Still, it|strong="G1063" may|strong="G3956" be|strong="G3756" said|strong="G3004", everyone|strong="G3956" did|strong="G5101" not|strong="G3756" give|strong="G3004" heed|strong="G5219" to|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3956" good|strong="G3956" news|strong="G2098". No|strong="G3756", for|strong="G1063" Isaiah|strong="G2268" asks – “Lord|strong="G2962", who|strong="G5101" has|strong="G2962" believed|strong="G4100" our|strong="G3956" teaching?”
17 And|strong="G1161" so|strong="G1161" we|strong="G1161" gather, faith|strong="G4102" is|strong="G3588" a|strong="G1161" result|strong="G1537" of|strong="G1537" teaching|strong="G4487", and|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1537" teaching|strong="G4487" comes in|strong="G4102" the|strong="G1537" message|strong="G4487" of|strong="G1537" Christ|strong="G5547".
18 But|strong="G2532" I|strong="G2532" ask|strong="G3004" “Is|strong="G3588" it|strong="G2532" possible that|strong="G3588" people|strong="G3956" have|strong="G2532" never|strong="G3756" heard?” No|strong="G3756", indeed|strong="G2532", for|strong="G1519" – “Their|strong="G2532" voices spread|strong="G1831" through|strong="G3004" all|strong="G3956" the|strong="G2532" earth|strong="G1093", and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" message|strong="G4487" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" ends|strong="G4009" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" world|strong="G3625".”
19 But|strong="G3361" again I|strong="G1473" ask|strong="G3004" “Did|strong="G1097" not|strong="G3756" the|strong="G1909" people|strong="G1484" of|strong="G1909" Israel|strong="G2474" understand|strong="G1097"?” First|strong="G4413" there|strong="G3004" is|strong="G3756" Moses|strong="G3475", who|strong="G3756" says|strong="G3004" – “I|strong="G1473", the|strong="G1909" Lord, will|strong="G1473" stir you|strong="G5210" to|strong="G1909" rivalry with|strong="G1909" a|strong="G1909" nation|strong="G1484" which|strong="G1484" is|strong="G3756" no|strong="G3756" nation|strong="G1484"; against|strong="G1909" an|strong="G1909" undiscerning nation|strong="G1484" I|strong="G1473" will|strong="G1473" arouse your|strong="G1909" anger|strong="G3949".”
20 And|strong="G2532" Isaiah|strong="G2268" says|strong="G3004" boldly – “I|strong="G1473" was|strong="G1096" found|strong="G2147" by|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3361" seeking|strong="G2212" me|strong="G1473"; I|strong="G1473" made|strong="G1096" myself|strong="G1473" known to|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3361" inquiring of|strong="G2532" me|strong="G1473".”
21 But|strong="G1161" of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G2532" people|strong="G2992" of|strong="G2250" Israel|strong="G2474" he|strong="G2532" says|strong="G3004" – “All|strong="G3650" day|strong="G2250" long|strong="G2250" I|strong="G1473" have|strong="G2532" stretched|strong="G1600" out|strong="G2532" my|strong="G1473" hands|strong="G5495" to|strong="G4314" a|strong="G2532" people|strong="G2992" who|strong="G3588" disobey and|strong="G2532" contradict.”
