2 teaching|strong="G1322" concerning baptisms and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" laying|strong="G1936" on|strong="G5495" of|strong="G2532" hands|strong="G5495", the|strong="G2532" resurrection of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" dead|strong="G3498" and|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" final judgment|strong="G2917".
3 Yes and|strong="G2532", with|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316"’s help, we|strong="G1437" will|strong="G2316".
4 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" once for|strong="G1063" all|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G5461" into|strong="G1096" the|strong="G2532" light|strong="G5461", and|strong="G2532" learned to|strong="G2532" appreciate the|strong="G2532" gift|strong="G1431" from|strong="G2532" heaven|strong="G2032", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G1096" to|strong="G2532" share in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151",
5 and|strong="G2532" learned to|strong="G2532" appreciate the|strong="G2532" beauty of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" divine message|strong="G4487", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" new powers|strong="G1411" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" coming|strong="G3195" age –
6 if|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588", I|strong="G2532" say|strong="G2532", fell|strong="G2532" away|strong="G3895", it|strong="G2532" would|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2532" impossible to|strong="G1519" bring|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" again|strong="G3825" to|strong="G1519" repentance|strong="G3341"; they|strong="G2532" would|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2532" crucifying the|strong="G2532" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316" over|strong="G1519" again|strong="G3825" for|strong="G1519" themselves|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" exposing him|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" open|strong="G3856" contempt.

8 but|strong="G1161", if|strong="G2532" it|strong="G2532" bears thorns and|strong="G2532" thistles|strong="G5146", it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" regarded as|strong="G1519" worthless, it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1519" danger of|strong="G2532" being|strong="G2532" cursed|strong="G2671", and|strong="G2532" its end|strong="G5056" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" fire.
9 But|strong="G1161" about|strong="G4012" you|strong="G5210", dear friends, even|strong="G2532" though|strong="G1487" we|strong="G2532" speak|strong="G2980" in|strong="G2532" this|strong="G3588" way|strong="G3779", we|strong="G2532" are|strong="G3588" confident|strong="G3982" of|strong="G4012" better|strong="G2909" things|strong="G3588" – of|strong="G4012" things|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3588" point to|strong="G2532" your|strong="G2192" salvation|strong="G4991".
10 For|strong="G1063" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" unjust; he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" not|strong="G3756" forget|strong="G1950" the|strong="G2532" work|strong="G2041" that|strong="G3739" you|strong="G5210" did|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" love that|strong="G3739" you|strong="G5210" showed for|strong="G1063" his|strong="G1519" name|strong="G3686", in|strong="G1519" sending help to|strong="G1519" your|strong="G2532" fellow Christians – as|strong="G1519" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G3588" still doing|strong="G2041".
11 But|strong="G1161" our|strong="G4314" great desire|strong="G1937" is|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3588" every|strong="G1538" one|strong="G1538" of|strong="G1680" you|strong="G5210" should|strong="G3588" be|strong="G3588" equally earnest to|strong="G4314" attain to|strong="G4314" a|strong="G1161" full|strong="G4136" conviction|strong="G4136" that|strong="G3588" our|strong="G4314" hope|strong="G1680" will|strong="G1538" be|strong="G3588" fulfilled, and|strong="G1161" that|strong="G3588" you|strong="G5210" should|strong="G3588" keep that|strong="G3588" hope|strong="G1680" to|strong="G4314" the|strong="G1161" end|strong="G5056".
12 Then|strong="G2532" you|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" show|strong="G1096" yourselves|strong="G1096" slow to|strong="G2443" learn, but|strong="G1161" you|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" copy those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588", through|strong="G1223" faith|strong="G4102" and|strong="G2532" patience|strong="G3115", are|strong="G3588" now|strong="G1161" entering|strong="G1161" upon|strong="G1096" the|strong="G2532" enjoyment of|strong="G1223" God|strong="G2532"’s promises|strong="G1860".
13 When|strong="G2192" God|strong="G2316" gave|strong="G3762" his|strong="G1438" promise|strong="G1861" to|strong="G2596" Abraham, since|strong="G1893" there|strong="G1063" was|strong="G3588" no|strong="G3762" one|strong="G3762" greater|strong="G3173" by|strong="G2596" whom|strong="G3588" he|strong="G3588" could|strong="G2192" swear|strong="G3660", he|strong="G3588" swore|strong="G3660" by|strong="G2596" himself|strong="G1438".
14 His|strong="G2532" words|strong="G2532" were|strong="G2532" –
15 And|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779", after|strong="G2532" patiently|strong="G3114" waiting, Abraham|strong="G2013" obtained|strong="G2013" the|strong="G2532" fulfilment of|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2532"’s promise|strong="G1860".
16 People|strong="G3956", of|strong="G2532" course, swear|strong="G3660" by|strong="G2596" what|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" greater|strong="G3173" than|strong="G3173" themselves|strong="G1519", and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" an|strong="G2532" oath|strong="G3727" is|strong="G3588" accepted as|strong="G1519" putting|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" matter|strong="G2596" beyond|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" dispute.
17 And|strong="G2316" therefore God|strong="G2316", in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1722" desire|strong="G1014" to|strong="G1722" show|strong="G1925", with|strong="G1722" unmistakable plainness, to|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3739" were|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1722" enter on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" enjoyment of|strong="G2316" what|strong="G3739" he|strong="G3739" had|strong="G2316" promised|strong="G1860", the|strong="G1722" unchangeableness of|strong="G2316" his|strong="G1722" purpose|strong="G1012", bound himself with|strong="G1722" an|strong="G1722" oath|strong="G3727".

19 This|strong="G3588" hope|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" an|strong="G2192" anchor for|strong="G1519" our|strong="G2532" souls|strong="G5590", secure and|strong="G2532" strong|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" it|strong="G2532" reaches into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" sanctuary that|strong="G3739" lies behind the|strong="G2532" curtain|strong="G2665",
20 where|strong="G3699" Jesus|strong="G2424", our|strong="G2424" forerunner|strong="G4274", has|strong="G1096" entered|strong="G1525" on|strong="G1519" our|strong="G2424" behalf|strong="G5228", after|strong="G2596" being|strong="G1096" made|strong="G1096" for|strong="G1519" all|strong="G2596" time a|strong="G1096" high priest of|strong="G2596" the|strong="G1519" order|strong="G5010" of|strong="G2596" Melchizedek|strong="G3198".
