Its priests, with|strong="G2596" those|strong="G3588" sacrifices|strong="G2378" which|strong="G3739" they|strong="G3588" offer|strong="G4374" continuously year|strong="G1763" after|strong="G2596" year|strong="G1763", can|strong="G1410" never|strong="G3756" make|strong="G5048" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3739" come|strong="G3195" to|strong="G1519" worship perfect|strong="G5048".
2 Otherwise|strong="G1893", would|strong="G1893" not|strong="G3756" the|strong="G1223" offering|strong="G4374" of|strong="G1223" these|strong="G3588" sacrifices have|strong="G2192" been|strong="G2192" abandoned, as|strong="G3756" the|strong="G1223" worshipers|strong="G3000", having|strong="G2192" been|strong="G2192" once purified|strong="G2511", would|strong="G1893" have|strong="G2192" had|strong="G2192" their|strong="G3588" consciences|strong="G4893" clear from|strong="G3756" sins?
3 But, on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" contrary|strong="G2596", these|strong="G1722" sacrifices recall their|strong="G2596" sins to|strong="G2596" mind year|strong="G1763" after|strong="G2596" year|strong="G1763".
4 For|strong="G1063" the|strong="G2532" blood of|strong="G2532" bulls|strong="G5022" and|strong="G2532" goats|strong="G5131" is|strong="G2532" powerless to|strong="G2532" remove sins.
5 That|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" why|strong="G1519", when|strong="G1161" he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G3588" coming|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" world|strong="G2889", the|strong="G2532" Christ declared –

8 First come|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" words|strong="G2532" – “You|strong="G3754" do|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" desire|strong="G2309", nor|strong="G3761" do|strong="G2532" you|strong="G3754" take|strong="G2106" pleasure|strong="G2106" in|strong="G2596", sacrifices|strong="G2378", offerings|strong="G3646", burnt|strong="G3646" offerings|strong="G3646", and|strong="G2532" sacrifices|strong="G2378" for|strong="G3754" sin” (offerings|strong="G3646" regularly made|strong="G3756" under|strong="G3756" the|strong="G2532" Law|strong="G3551"),
9 and|strong="G2476" then|strong="G5119" there|strong="G3004" is|strong="G3588" added – “See|strong="G3708", I|strong="G2443" have|strong="G4160" come|strong="G2240" to|strong="G2443" do|strong="G4160" your|strong="G3708" will|strong="G2307".” The|strong="G3588" former|strong="G4413" sacrifices are|strong="G3588" set|strong="G2476" aside to|strong="G2443" be|strong="G2443" replaced by|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" latter.

13 and|strong="G3588" has|strong="G2190" since|strong="G2193" then|strong="G3063" been waiting|strong="G1551" “for|strong="G1551" his|strong="G5087" enemies|strong="G2190" to|strong="G2193" be|strong="G3588" put|strong="G5087" as|strong="G2193" a|strong="G5087" stool|strong="G5286" for|strong="G1551" his|strong="G5087" feet|strong="G4228".”
14 By|strong="G1519" a|strong="G1519" single|strong="G1520" offering|strong="G4376" he|strong="G3588" has|strong="G1519" made|strong="G5048" perfect|strong="G5048" for|strong="G1063" all|strong="G3588" time|strong="G1336" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" being purified.

26 Remember, if we|strong="G2249" sin wilfully|strong="G1596" after|strong="G3326" we|strong="G2249" have|strong="G1473" gained a|strong="G2983" full knowledge|strong="G1922" of|strong="G4012" the|strong="G3588" truth, there|strong="G1063" can|strong="G1063" be|strong="G3588" no|strong="G3765" further|strong="G3765" sacrifice|strong="G2378" for|strong="G1063" sin;
27 there|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" only|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" fearful|strong="G5398" anticipation of|strong="G2532" judgment|strong="G2920", and|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" burning|strong="G4442" indignation|strong="G2205" which|strong="G3588" will|strong="G3195" destroy all|strong="G2532" opponents.
28 When|strong="G5100" someone|strong="G5100" disregarded the|strong="G1909" Law|strong="G3551" of|strong="G3551" Moses|strong="G3475", they|strong="G5100" were|strong="G5100", on|strong="G1909" the|strong="G1909" evidence of|strong="G3551" two|strong="G1417" or|strong="G2228" three|strong="G5140" witnesses|strong="G3144", put to|strong="G1909" death without|strong="G5565" pity.
29 How|strong="G4214" much|strong="G4214" worse|strong="G5501" then|strong="G2532", think|strong="G1380" you|strong="G3739", will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" punishment|strong="G5098" deserved by|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3739" have|strong="G2532" trampled|strong="G2662" underfoot the|strong="G1722" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316", who|strong="G3739" have|strong="G2532" treated the|strong="G1722" blood that|strong="G3739" rendered the|strong="G1722" covenant|strong="G1242" valid – the|strong="G1722" blood by|strong="G1722" which|strong="G3739" they|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" purified – as|strong="G1722" if|strong="G2532" it|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3739" holy|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" who|strong="G3739" have|strong="G2532" outraged the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151" of|strong="G5207" love?
30 We|strong="G1063" know|strong="G1492" who|strong="G3588" it|strong="G2532" was|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3588" said|strong="G3004" –
31 It|strong="G1519" is|strong="G3588" a|strong="G1519" fearful|strong="G5398" thing|strong="G5398" to|strong="G1519" fall|strong="G1706" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1519" hands|strong="G5495" of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G1519" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".

33 Sometimes, in|strong="G2532" consequence of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" taunts and|strong="G2532" injuries heaped on|strong="G1161" you|strong="G3779", you|strong="G3779" became|strong="G1096" a|strong="G1096" public|strong="G2301" spectacle|strong="G2301"; and|strong="G2532" sometimes you|strong="G3779" suffered through|strong="G2301" having|strong="G2532" shown yourselves|strong="G1096" to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G1096" the|strong="G2532" friends of|strong="G2532" people|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" same|strong="G3778" position in|strong="G2532" which|strong="G3588" you|strong="G3779" had|strong="G2532" been|strong="G1096".

35 Do|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3361", therefore|strong="G3767", abandon the|strong="G3588" confidence|strong="G3954" that|strong="G3588" you|strong="G5210" have|strong="G2192" gained, for|strong="G3361" it|strong="G3588" has|strong="G2192" a|strong="G2192" great|strong="G3173" reward|strong="G3405" awaiting it|strong="G3588".
36 You|strong="G4160" still have|strong="G2192" need|strong="G5532" of|strong="G2316" patient|strong="G5281" endurance|strong="G5281", in|strong="G2316" order|strong="G2443" that|strong="G2443", when|strong="G4160" you|strong="G4160" have|strong="G2192" done|strong="G4160" God|strong="G2316"’s|strong="G2192" will|strong="G2307", you|strong="G4160" may|strong="G2443" obtain|strong="G2192" the|strong="G3588" fulfilment of|strong="G2316" his|strong="G4160" promise|strong="G1860".
