2 May|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2316", our|strong="G2316" Father|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" bless you|strong="G5210" and|strong="G2532" give|strong="G1473" you|strong="G5210" peace|strong="G1515".
3 Blessed|strong="G2127" is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316" and|strong="G2532" Father|strong="G3962" of|strong="G2316" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", our|strong="G2316" Lord|strong="G2962", who|strong="G3588" has|strong="G2316" blessed|strong="G2127" us|strong="G2249" on|strong="G1722" high|strong="G3956" with|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" spiritual|strong="G4152" blessing|strong="G2129", in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547".
4 For|strong="G1722" he|strong="G2532" chose|strong="G1586" us|strong="G2249" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2532" union with|strong="G1722" Christ before|strong="G4253" the|strong="G1722" creation of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" universe, so|strong="G2532" that|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" might|strong="G2532" be|strong="G1510" holy and|strong="G2532" blameless in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1722" sight|strong="G2714", living in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" spirit of|strong="G2532" love.
5 From|strong="G2596" the|strong="G1519" first|strong="G3588" he|strong="G3588" destined us|strong="G1519", in|strong="G1519" his|strong="G1223" goodwill|strong="G2107" towards us|strong="G1519", to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G1519" adopted as|strong="G1519" sons|strong="G5206" through|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547",
6 and|strong="G1391" so|strong="G1519" to|strong="G1519" enhance that|strong="G3739" glorious|strong="G1391" manifestation of|strong="G5485" his|strong="G1519" loving kindness which|strong="G3739" he|strong="G3739" gave|strong="G3588" us|strong="G1519" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" one|strong="G3739" he|strong="G3739" loves;
7 for|strong="G1223" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588", and|strong="G5485" through|strong="G1223" the|strong="G1722" shedding of|strong="G1223" his|strong="G1223" blood, we|strong="G3739" have|strong="G2192" found|strong="G2192" redemption in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" pardon of|strong="G1223" our|strong="G1223" offences|strong="G3900".
8 All|strong="G3956" this|strong="G3739" accords with|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" loving kindness which|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2532" lavished|strong="G4052" on|strong="G1722" us|strong="G1519", accompanied|strong="G2532" by|strong="G1722" countless gifts of|strong="G2532" wisdom|strong="G4678" and|strong="G2532" discernment,
9 when|strong="G1722" he|strong="G3739" made|strong="G1107" known|strong="G1107" to|strong="G2596" us|strong="G2249" his|strong="G1722" hidden purpose|strong="G3739". And|strong="G3588" it|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2249" accords with|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" goodwill|strong="G2107" which|strong="G3739" God|strong="G3588" purposed|strong="G4388" to|strong="G2596" exhibit in|strong="G1722" Christ,
10 in|strong="G1722" view|strong="G1519" of|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" divine order which|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" mark the|strong="G1722" completion of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" ages, when|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" should|strong="G3588" make|strong="G1519" everything|strong="G3956", both|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772" and|strong="G2532" on|strong="G1909" earth|strong="G1093", centre in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588".
11 In|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588", I|strong="G3739" say|strong="G3956", for|strong="G1722" by|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2532" union with|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588" we|strong="G3739" became|strong="G3588" God|strong="G2532"’s heritage, having|strong="G2532" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" first|strong="G3588" been|strong="G2532" destined for|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" intention of|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3739", in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3739" happens, is|strong="G3588" carrying out|strong="G2532" his|strong="G3956" own fixed purpose|strong="G4286";
12 that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" should|strong="G3588" enhance his|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391" – we|strong="G2249" who|strong="G3588" have|strong="G1473" been|strong="G1510" the|strong="G1722" first|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" rest|strong="G1510" our|strong="G5547" hopes on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547".
13 And|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210", too|strong="G2532", by|strong="G1722" your|strong="G2532" union with|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588", after|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210" had|strong="G2532" heard the|strong="G1722" message|strong="G3056" of|strong="G3056" the|strong="G1722" truth, the|strong="G1722" good|strong="G3588" news|strong="G3056" of|strong="G3056" your|strong="G2532" salvation|strong="G4991" – you|strong="G5210" believed|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" sealed|strong="G4972" as|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1722" by|strong="G1722" receiving the|strong="G1722" holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151", which|strong="G3739" he|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" promised|strong="G1860".
14 And|strong="G1391" the|strong="G1519" Spirit|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" a|strong="G1519" pledge of|strong="G1391" our|strong="G1519" future heritage, foreshadowing the|strong="G1519" full redemption of|strong="G1391" God|strong="G1519"’s own people|strong="G1510" – to|strong="G1519" enhance his|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391".
15 And|strong="G2532" therefore|strong="G1223" I|strong="G2532", ever|strong="G1519" since|strong="G1223" I|strong="G2532" heard of|strong="G1223" the|strong="G1722" faith|strong="G4102" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" which|strong="G3588" prevails among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210", and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G1223" your|strong="G1223" confidence|strong="G1722" in|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" Christ|strong="G2962"’s|strong="G2962" people|strong="G3956",
16 have|strong="G1473" never|strong="G3756" omitted to|strong="G1909" thank|strong="G2168" God|strong="G3588" on|strong="G1909" your|strong="G4160" behalf|strong="G5228", whenever I|strong="G1473" make|strong="G4160" mention|strong="G3417" of|strong="G1909" you|strong="G5210" in|strong="G1909" my|strong="G1473" prayers|strong="G4335".
17 My|strong="G1722" prayer is|strong="G3588" that|strong="G2443" the|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316" of|strong="G4151" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" our|strong="G2316" Lord|strong="G2962", the|strong="G1722" all-glorious Father|strong="G3962", may|strong="G2532" inspire you|strong="G5210" with|strong="G1722" wisdom|strong="G4678" and|strong="G2532" true|strong="G1922" insight through|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" fuller knowledge|strong="G1922" of|strong="G4151" himself;
18 that|strong="G3588" your|strong="G1722" minds|strong="G2588" may|strong="G5210" be|strong="G1510" so|strong="G1519" enlightened|strong="G5461" that|strong="G3588" you|strong="G5210" may|strong="G5210" realise the|strong="G1722" hope|strong="G1680" given by|strong="G1722" God|strong="G1519"’s call|strong="G2821", the|strong="G1722" wealth|strong="G4149" of|strong="G1391" the|strong="G1722" glory|strong="G1391" of|strong="G1391" his|strong="G1519" heritage among|strong="G1722" Christ’s people|strong="G1492",
19 and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" transcendent greatness|strong="G3174" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1411" which|strong="G3588" he|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" able to|strong="G1519" exercise in|strong="G1519" dealing with|strong="G2532" us|strong="G1519" who|strong="G5101" believe|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588".
20 The|strong="G1722" same|strong="G3739" mighty|strong="G2532" power was|strong="G3588" exerted on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547", when|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" raised|strong="G1453" the|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1722" dead|strong="G3498" and|strong="G2532" “caused him|strong="G3588" to|strong="G2532" sit|strong="G2523" at|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1722" right|strong="G1188" hand|strong="G1188"” on|strong="G1722" high|strong="G2532", exalting him|strong="G3588" above all|strong="G2532" angels and|strong="G2532" archangels of|strong="G1537" every|strong="G1722" rank,
21 and|strong="G2532" above|strong="G5231" every|strong="G3956" name|strong="G3686" that|strong="G3588" can be|strong="G2532" named|strong="G3686", whether|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" present|strong="G3778" age, or|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" age to|strong="G2532" come|strong="G3195".
22 And|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2532" placed all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" under|strong="G5259" Christ’s feet|strong="G4228", and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" him|strong="G3588" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" church|strong="G1577" as|strong="G2532" its|strong="G3956" supreme head|strong="G2776";
23 for|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" church is|strong="G1510" Christ’s body|strong="G4983", and|strong="G4983" is|strong="G1510" filled|strong="G4137" by|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" fills|strong="G4137" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" everywhere with|strong="G1722" his|strong="G3956" presence.
