Or|strong="G2228" are|strong="G5210" we|strong="G5613" like|strong="G5613" some|strong="G5100" who|strong="G5100" need|strong="G5535" letters|strong="G1992" of|strong="G1537" commendation|strong="G4956" to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5210", or|strong="G2228" from|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5210"?
2 You|strong="G5210" yourselves|strong="G4771" are|strong="G1510" our|strong="G2532" letter|strong="G1992" – a|strong="G2532" letter|strong="G1992" written|strong="G1449" on|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2532" hearts|strong="G2588", and|strong="G2532" one|strong="G3956" which|strong="G3588" everybody can read and|strong="G2532" understand|strong="G1097".
3 All|strong="G1722" can see that|strong="G3754" you|strong="G3754" are|strong="G1510" a|strong="G1722" letter|strong="G1992" from|strong="G5259" Christ|strong="G5547" delivered|strong="G1247" by|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2249", a|strong="G1722" letter|strong="G1992" written|strong="G1449", not|strong="G3756" with|strong="G1722" ink|strong="G3188", but|strong="G2316" with|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151" of|strong="G5259" the|strong="G1722" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316", not|strong="G3756" on|strong="G1722" tablets|strong="G4109" of|strong="G5259" stone|strong="G3035", but|strong="G2316" on|strong="G1722" tablets|strong="G4109" of|strong="G5259" human|strong="G4560" hearts|strong="G2588".
4 This|strong="G3588", then|strong="G1161", is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1161" confidence|strong="G4006" in|strong="G2316" regard|strong="G2192" to|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316" that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G1161" have|strong="G2192" gained through|strong="G1223" the|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547".
5 I|strong="G1473" do|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" mean|strong="G1510" that|strong="G3754" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G1510" fit|strong="G2425" to|strong="G3756" form any|strong="G5100" judgment by|strong="G1537" ourselves|strong="G1438", as|strong="G5613" if|strong="G5613" on|strong="G1537" our|strong="G2316" own|strong="G1438" authority;
6 our|strong="G2532" fitness comes|strong="G2532" from|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2532", who|strong="G3739" himself made|strong="G2427" us|strong="G2427" fit to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" assistants of|strong="G4151" a|strong="G2532" new|strong="G2537" covenant|strong="G1242", of|strong="G4151" which|strong="G3739" the|strong="G2532" substance is|strong="G3588", not|strong="G3756" a|strong="G2532" written|strong="G1121" Law, but|strong="G1161" a|strong="G2532" Spirit|strong="G4151". For|strong="G1063" the|strong="G2532" written|strong="G1121" Law means death, but|strong="G1161" the|strong="G2532" Spirit|strong="G4151" gives|strong="G2227" life|strong="G2227".
7 If|strong="G1487" the|strong="G1722" system of|strong="G5207" religion which|strong="G3588" involved death|strong="G2288", embodied in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G1096" written|strong="G1121" Law and|strong="G1161" engraved|strong="G1795" on|strong="G1722" stones|strong="G3037", began|strong="G1096" amid|strong="G1722" such|strong="G5620" glory|strong="G1391", that|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1722" Israelites were|strong="G3588" unable|strong="G3361" to|strong="G1519" gaze at|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" face|strong="G4383" of|strong="G5207" Moses|strong="G3475" because|strong="G1223" of|strong="G5207" its|strong="G1223" glory|strong="G1391", though|strong="G1487" it|strong="G1161" was|strong="G1096" but|strong="G1161" a|strong="G1096" passing|strong="G2673" glory|strong="G1391",
8 will|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3780" the|strong="G1722" religion that|strong="G3588" confers the|strong="G1722" Spirit|strong="G4151" have|strong="G1510" still|strong="G3123" greater|strong="G3123" glory|strong="G1391"?
9 For|strong="G1063", if|strong="G1487" there|strong="G1063" was|strong="G3588" a|strong="G1487" glory|strong="G1391" in|strong="G4052" the|strong="G3588" religion that|strong="G3588" involved condemnation|strong="G2633", far|strong="G3123" greater|strong="G4183" is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3588" glory|strong="G1391" of|strong="G1391" the|strong="G3588" religion that|strong="G3588" confers righteousness|strong="G1343"!
10 Indeed|strong="G2532", that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" then|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" glory|strong="G1391" has|strong="G3778" lost its glory|strong="G1391", because|strong="G1063" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" glory|strong="G1391" which|strong="G3588" surpasses|strong="G5235" it|strong="G2532".
11 And|strong="G1391", if|strong="G1487" that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1722" pass away|strong="G2673" was|strong="G3588" attended with|strong="G1722" glory|strong="G1391", far|strong="G3123" more|strong="G3123" will|strong="G4183" that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1722" endure be|strong="G3588" surrounded|strong="G1722" with|strong="G1722" glory|strong="G1391"!
12 With|strong="G2192" such|strong="G5108" a|strong="G2192" hope|strong="G1680" as|strong="G5108" this|strong="G2192", we|strong="G2192" speak with|strong="G2192" all|strong="G4183" plainness;
13 unlike Moses|strong="G3475", who|strong="G3588" covered his|strong="G1438" face|strong="G4383" with|strong="G4314" a|strong="G2532" veil|strong="G2571", to|strong="G1519" prevent the|strong="G2532" Israelites from|strong="G2532" gazing at|strong="G1909" the|strong="G2532" disappearance of|strong="G5207" what|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" passing|strong="G2532" away|strong="G2673".
14 But|strong="G3361" their|strong="G1722" minds|strong="G3540" were|strong="G3588" slow to|strong="G1909" learn. Indeed|strong="G1063", to|strong="G1909" this|strong="G3588" very|strong="G4594" day|strong="G2250", at|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" public reading of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G1722" old|strong="G3820" covenant|strong="G1242", the|strong="G1722" same veil|strong="G2571" remains|strong="G3306"; only for|strong="G1063" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1722" union with|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" does|strong="G3306" it|strong="G3754" pass away|strong="G2673".
15 But|strong="G3588", even|strong="G2193" to|strong="G1909" this|strong="G3588" day|strong="G4594", whenever|strong="G2259" Moses|strong="G3475" is|strong="G3588" read, a|strong="G1909" veil|strong="G2571" lies|strong="G2749" on|strong="G1909" their|strong="G3588" hearts|strong="G2588".
16 Yet|strong="G1161", whenever|strong="G1437" someone turns|strong="G1994" to|strong="G4314" the|strong="G1161" Lord|strong="G2962", the|strong="G1161" veil|strong="G2571" is|strong="G3588" removed.
17 And|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1161" Lord|strong="G2962" is|strong="G1510" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151", and|strong="G1161", where|strong="G3757" the|strong="G1161" Spirit|strong="G4151" of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1161" Lord|strong="G2962" is|strong="G1510", there|strong="G1161" is|strong="G1510" freedom|strong="G1657".
18 And|strong="G1161" all|strong="G3956" of|strong="G4151" us|strong="G1519", with|strong="G1519" faces|strong="G4383" from|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1519" veil is|strong="G3588" lifted, seeing, as|strong="G1519" if|strong="G1161" reflected in|strong="G1519" a|strong="G1519" mirror|strong="G2734", the|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391" of|strong="G4151" the|strong="G1519" Lord|strong="G2962", are|strong="G3588" being|strong="G1161" transformed|strong="G3339" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G3956" likeness|strong="G1504", from|strong="G3588" glory|strong="G1391" to|strong="G1519" glory|strong="G1391", as|strong="G1519" it|strong="G1161" is|strong="G3588" given by|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1519" Lord|strong="G2962", the|strong="G1519" Spirit|strong="G4151".
