2 Then|strong="G2532" a|strong="G3708" man sick with|strong="G2532" leprosy came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G3004" him|strong="G0846". The|strong="G2532" man bowed|strong="G4352" down|strong="G4352" before|strong="G4352" Jesus|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “Lord|strong="G2962", you|strong="G1437" have|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1410" to|strong="G3004" heal me|strong="G3004" if|strong="G1437" you|strong="G1437" want|strong="G2309".”
3 Jesus|strong="G0846" touched|strong="G0681" the|strong="G3588" man. He|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “I|strong="G2532" want|strong="G2309" to|strong="G3004" heal you|strong="G3004". Be|strong="G2532" healed!” Immediately|strong="G2112" the|strong="G3588" man was|strong="G3588" healed from|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" leprosy|strong="G3014".
4 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846", “Don’t|strong="G3367" tell|strong="G3004" anyone|strong="G3367" about|strong="G1519" what|strong="G3739" happened|strong="G3588". But|strong="G0235" go|strong="G5217" and|strong="G2532" let|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" priest|strong="G2409" look|strong="G3708" at|strong="G1519" you|strong="G3739". 5 Jesus|strong="G0846" went|strong="G1525" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1525" city|strong="G0846" of|strong="G1519" Capernaum|strong="G2584". When|strong="G1161" he|strong="G0846" entered|strong="G1525" the|strong="G1525" city|strong="G0846", an|strong="G1161" army officer came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846" and|strong="G1161" begged|strong="G3870" for|strong="G1519" help.

7 Jesus|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" the|strong="G2532" officer, “I|strong="G1473" will|strong="G2532" go|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" heal|strong="G2323" him|strong="G0846".”
8 The|strong="G3588" officer answered|strong="G0611", “Lord|strong="G2962", I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" good|strong="G1510" enough|strong="G2425" for|strong="G2443" you|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2443" come|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1525" my|strong="G1525" house. 10 When|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" heard|strong="G0191" this|strong="G3588", he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G2424" amazed|strong="G2296". He|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" with|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0191", “The|strong="G3588" truth is|strong="G3588", this|strong="G3588" man has|strong="G4102" more faith|strong="G4102" than|strong="G3844" anyone I|strong="G0281" have|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147", even|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" Israel|strong="G2474".
11 Many|strong="G4183" people|strong="G4183" will|strong="G4183" come|strong="G2240" from|strong="G0575" the|strong="G3588" east|strong="G0395" and|strong="G2532" from|strong="G0575" the|strong="G3588" west|strong="G1424". These|strong="G3748" people|strong="G4183" will|strong="G4183" sit|strong="G0347" and|strong="G2532" eat with|strong="G3326" Abraham|strong="G0011", Isaac|strong="G2464", and|strong="G2532" Jacob|strong="G2384" in|strong="G1722" God’s kingdom|strong="G0932".
12 And|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" should|strong="G2532" have|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" kingdom|strong="G0932" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" thrown out|strong="G1831". They|strong="G2532" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" thrown outside|strong="G1544" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" darkness|strong="G4655", where|strong="G1519" people|strong="G1510" will|strong="G1510" cry and|strong="G2532" grind their|strong="G2532" teeth|strong="G3599" with|strong="G2532" pain.”
13 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" officer, “Go|strong="G5217" home. Your|strong="G2532" servant|strong="G3816" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G1096" healed|strong="G2390" the|strong="G3588" way|strong="G1722" you|strong="G4771" believed|strong="G4100" he|strong="G2532" would|strong="G1096".” Right then|strong="G2532" his|strong="G5613" servant|strong="G3816" was|strong="G2424" healed|strong="G2390".
14 Jesus|strong="G2424" went|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" Peter’s|strong="G4074" house|strong="G3614". He|strong="G2532" saw|strong="G3708" that|strong="G3708" Peter’s|strong="G4074" mother-in-law|strong="G3994" was|strong="G2424" in|strong="G1519" bed with|strong="G2532" a|strong="G3708" high fever|strong="G4445".
15 He|strong="G2532" touched|strong="G0681" her|strong="G0846" hand|strong="G5495", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" fever|strong="G4446" left|strong="G0863" her|strong="G0846". He|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2323" all|strong="G3956" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3956" sick|strong="G2560".
17 So|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G0846" made|strong="G4137" clear the|strong="G3588" full|strong="G4137" meaning of|strong="G1223" what|strong="G3588" Isaiah|strong="G2268" the|strong="G3588" prophet|strong="G4396" said|strong="G3004":
18 When|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" saw|strong="G3708" the|strong="G3588" crowd|strong="G3793" around|strong="G4012" him|strong="G0846", he|strong="G0846" told his|strong="G0846" followers to|strong="G1519" go|strong="G0565" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" other|strong="G4008" side|strong="G4008" of|strong="G4012" the|strong="G3588" lake.

The|strong="G3588" birds|strong="G4071" have|strong="G2192" nests|strong="G2682". 23 Jesus|strong="G0846" got|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" a|strong="G2532" boat|strong="G4143", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" followers went|strong="G1684" with|strong="G2532" him|strong="G0846".
24 After|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" boat|strong="G4143" left the|strong="G3588" shore, a|strong="G1096" very|strong="G0846" bad storm|strong="G4578" began|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" lake|strong="G2281". The|strong="G3588" waves|strong="G2949" covered|strong="G2572" the|strong="G3588" boat|strong="G4143". But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G0846" was|strong="G3588" sleeping|strong="G2518".
25 The|strong="G2532" followers went|strong="G4334" to|strong="G3004" him|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" woke|strong="G1453" him|strong="G0846". They|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004", “Lord|strong="G2962", save|strong="G4982" us|strong="G3004"! We|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2962" drown!”
26 Jesus|strong="G0846" answered|strong="G3004", “Why|strong="G5101" are|strong="G1510" you|strong="G3004" afraid|strong="G1169"? You|strong="G3004" don’t have|strong="G1510" enough faith.” Then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" stood up|strong="G1453" and|strong="G2532" gave a|strong="G1096" command|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" the|strong="G3588" wind|strong="G0417" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" water. The|strong="G3588" wind|strong="G0417" stopped, and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" lake|strong="G2281" became|strong="G1096" very|strong="G0846" calm|strong="G1055".
27 The|strong="G3588" men|strong="G0444" were|strong="G1510" amazed|strong="G2296". They|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004", “What|strong="G3588" kind|strong="G4217" of|strong="G2281" man|strong="G0444" is|strong="G1510" this|strong="G3778"? Even|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" wind|strong="G0417" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" water obey|strong="G5219" him|strong="G0846"!”
28 Jesus|strong="G0846" arrived|strong="G2064" at|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" other|strong="G4008" side|strong="G4008" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" lake in|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" country|strong="G5561" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" Gadarene people|strong="G0846". There|strong="G1417", two|strong="G1417" men|strong="G5100" who|strong="G3588" had|strong="G2064" demons inside them|strong="G0846" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" him|strong="G0846". They|strong="G0846" lived in|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" burial caves and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" so|strong="G2532" dangerous that|strong="G1565" no|strong="G3361" one|strong="G5100" could|strong="G2480" use the|strong="G3588" road|strong="G3598" by|strong="G1223" those|strong="G3588" caves.
29 They|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G3004" Jesus|strong="G3004" and|strong="G2532" shouted|strong="G2896", “What|strong="G5101" do|strong="G3708" you|strong="G4771" want with|strong="G2316" us|strong="G3004", Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2316"? Did|strong="G3708" you|strong="G4771" come|strong="G2064" here|strong="G5602" to|strong="G3004" punish us|strong="G3004" before|strong="G4253" the|strong="G3588" right|strong="G4253" time|strong="G2540"?”
30 Near that|strong="G0846" place there|strong="G1510" was|strong="G1510" a|strong="G1510" large|strong="G4183" herd|strong="G0034" of|strong="G0575" pigs|strong="G5519" feeding|strong="G1006".
31 The|strong="G3588" demons|strong="G1142" begged|strong="G3870" Jesus|strong="G0846", “If|strong="G1487" you|strong="G1487" make us|strong="G3004" leave|strong="G1544" these|strong="G3588" men|strong="G0846", please send|strong="G0649" us|strong="G3004" into|strong="G1519" that|strong="G3004" herd|strong="G0034" of|strong="G3004" pigs|strong="G5519".”
32 Jesus|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G1519" them|strong="G0846", “Go|strong="G5217"!” So|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3956" demons left|strong="G1831" the|strong="G3956" men|strong="G3956" and|strong="G2532" went|strong="G1831" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3956" pigs|strong="G5519". Then|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3956" whole|strong="G3956" herd|strong="G0034" of|strong="G3956" pigs|strong="G5519" ran down|strong="G2596" the|strong="G3956" hill into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3956" lake|strong="G2281", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" were|strong="G3956" drowned|strong="G0599".
33 The|strong="G3956" men|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" had|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3956" work of|strong="G4172" caring for|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3956" pigs ran|strong="G5343" away|strong="G0565". They|strong="G2532" went|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" town|strong="G4172" and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G0518" the|strong="G3956" people|strong="G3956" everything|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3956" happened|strong="G3588", especially about|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3956" men|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" had|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3956" demons.

When|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3956" people|strong="G3956" saw|strong="G3708" him|strong="G0846", they|strong="G0846" begged|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G1519" leave|strong="G1831" their|strong="G0846" area|strong="G3725".
