11 Jesus|strong="G3004" answered|strong="G0611", “They|strong="G2532" are|strong="G3956" right to|strong="G3004" say|strong="G3004" Elijah|strong="G2243" is|strong="G3588" coming|strong="G2064". And|strong="G2532" it|strong="G1161" is|strong="G3588" true that|strong="G3004" Elijah|strong="G2243" will|strong="G3956" make all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" the|strong="G3956" way|strong="G3956" they|strong="G2532" should|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532".
12 But|strong="G1161" I|strong="G2532" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", Elijah|strong="G2243" has|strong="G0444" already|strong="G2235" come|strong="G2064". People|strong="G0444" did|strong="G4160" not|strong="G3756" know|strong="G1921" who|strong="G3588" he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" treated|strong="G4160" him|strong="G0846" badly, doing|strong="G4160" whatever|strong="G3745" they|strong="G0846" wanted|strong="G2309" to|strong="G3004" do|strong="G4160". 14 Jesus|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" followers went|strong="G2064" back|strong="G4314" to|strong="G4314" the|strong="G3588" people|strong="G0444". A|strong="G3793" man|strong="G0444" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" bowed before|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846".
15 The|strong="G3588" man|strong="G5207" said|strong="G3004", “Lord|strong="G2962", be|strong="G2532" kind to|strong="G1519" my|strong="G3754" son|strong="G5207". 16 I|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G4374" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G1410" your|strong="G2532" followers, but|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" heal|strong="G2323" him|strong="G0846".”
17 Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G0611", “You|strong="G5210" people|strong="G0846" today have|strong="G1510" no|strong="G2193" faith. Your|strong="G2532" lives are|strong="G1510" so|strong="G2532" wrong! How|strong="G2193" long|strong="G2193" must|strong="G1510" I|strong="G1473" stay with|strong="G3326" you|strong="G5210"? How|strong="G2193" long|strong="G2193" must|strong="G1510" I|strong="G1473" continue|strong="G2532" to|strong="G3004" be|strong="G1510" patient with|strong="G3326" you|strong="G5210"? 18 Jesus|strong="G2424" gave a|strong="G2532" strong command to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" demon|strong="G1140" inside the|strong="G3588" boy|strong="G3816". The|strong="G3588" demon|strong="G1140" came|strong="G1831" out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G0575" the|strong="G3588" boy|strong="G3816", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" boy|strong="G3816" was|strong="G2424" healed|strong="G2323".
19 Then|strong="G5119" the|strong="G3588" followers came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G3004" Jesus|strong="G2424" alone|strong="G0846". They|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004", “We|strong="G2249" tried to|strong="G3004" force the|strong="G3588" demon out|strong="G1544" of|strong="G1223" the|strong="G3588" boy, but|strong="G1473" we|strong="G2249" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756". Why|strong="G5101" were|strong="G3101" we|strong="G2249" not|strong="G3756" able|strong="G1410" to|strong="G3004" make|strong="G3756" the|strong="G3588" demon go|strong="G4334" out|strong="G1544"?”

Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G1519" them|strong="G0846", “The|strong="G3588" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" Man|strong="G0444" will|strong="G3195" be|strong="G0444" handed|strong="G3860" over|strong="G3860" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" control of|strong="G5207" other|strong="G1161" men|strong="G0444",
23 who|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2250" kill|strong="G0615" him|strong="G0846". There|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" men|strong="G0846" who|strong="G3588" collect|strong="G2983" the|strong="G3588" two-drachma|strong="G1323" Temple|strong="G0846" tax came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" asked|strong="G3004", “Does|strong="G2064" your|strong="G2532" teacher|strong="G1320" pay|strong="G5055" the|strong="G3588" Temple|strong="G0846" tax?”
25 Peter|strong="G0846" answered|strong="G3004", “Yes|strong="G3483", he|strong="G2532" does|strong="G5101".”
26 Peter|strong="G0846" answered|strong="G3004", “The|strong="G3588" other|strong="G1161" people|strong="G0846" pay the|strong="G3588" taxes.”
27 But|strong="G1161" we|strong="G2532" don’t|strong="G3361" want to|strong="G1519" upset these|strong="G3588" tax collectors. So|strong="G2443" do|strong="G3361" this|strong="G3588": Go|strong="G4198" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" lake|strong="G2281" and|strong="G2532" fish|strong="G2486".
