His|strong="G0846" followers were|strong="G3101" with|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" were|strong="G3101" hungry|strong="G3983". So|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" began|strong="G0757" to|strong="G0757" pick|strong="G5089" the|strong="G3588" grain|strong="G4719" and|strong="G2532" eat|strong="G2068" it|strong="G0846".

7 The|strong="G3588" Scriptures say, ‘I|strong="G2532" don’t|strong="G3756" want|strong="G2309" animal sacrifices|strong="G2378"; I|strong="G2532" want|strong="G2309" you|strong="G1487" to|strong="G2309" show kindness to|strong="G2309" people|strong="G1510".’ You|strong="G1487" don’t|strong="G3756" really know|strong="G1097" what|strong="G5101" that|strong="G1097" means|strong="G1510". If|strong="G1487" you|strong="G1487" understood|strong="G1097" it|strong="G1161", you|strong="G1487" would|strong="G0302" not|strong="G3756" judge those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" have|strong="G1510" done nothing|strong="G3756" wrong.
8 “The|strong="G3588" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" Man|strong="G0444" is|strong="G1510" Lord|strong="G2962" over the|strong="G3588" Sabbath|strong="G4521" day|strong="G4521".”
9 Jesus|strong="G0846" went|strong="G2064" from|strong="G2064" there|strong="G1564" to|strong="G1519" their|strong="G0846" synagogue|strong="G4864".

11 Jesus|strong="G0846" answered|strong="G3004", “If|strong="G1437" any|strong="G3739" of|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5210" has|strong="G2192" a|strong="G2192" sheep|strong="G4263" and|strong="G2532" it|strong="G0846" falls|strong="G1706" into|strong="G1519" a|strong="G2192" ditch on|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" Sabbath|strong="G4521" day|strong="G4521", you|strong="G5210" will|strong="G1510" take|strong="G2902" the|strong="G3588" sheep|strong="G4263" and|strong="G2532" help it|strong="G0846" out|strong="G1537" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" ditch.

15 Jesus|strong="G2424" knew|strong="G1097" what|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3956" Pharisees were|strong="G3956" planning. 24 When|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" Pharisees|strong="G5330" heard|strong="G0191" this|strong="G3778", they|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", “This|strong="G3778" man|strong="G3778" uses the|strong="G3588" power of|strong="G1722" Satan to|strong="G3004" force demons|strong="G1140" out|strong="G1544" of|strong="G1722" people|strong="G3778". Satan is|strong="G3778" the|strong="G3588" ruler|strong="G0758" of|strong="G1722" demons|strong="G1140".”
25 Jesus|strong="G0846" knew|strong="G1492" what|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3956" Pharisees were|strong="G3956" thinking. So|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" them|strong="G0846", “Every|strong="G3956" kingdom|strong="G0932" that|strong="G3004" fights against|strong="G2596" itself|strong="G1438" will|strong="G3956" be|strong="G2532" destroyed. 26 So|strong="G3767" if|strong="G1487" Satan|strong="G4567" forces out|strong="G1544" his|strong="G0846" own|strong="G1438" demons, then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" fighting against|strong="G1909" himself|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" kingdom|strong="G0932" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G2532" survive.
27 You|strong="G5210" say|strong="G1223" that|strong="G3778" I|strong="G1473" use the|strong="G3588" power of|strong="G5207" Satan to|strong="G2532" force out|strong="G1544" demons|strong="G1140". If|strong="G1487" that|strong="G3778" is|strong="G1510" true, then|strong="G2532" what|strong="G5101" power do|strong="G1510" your|strong="G1487" people|strong="G0846" use when|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" force out|strong="G1544" demons|strong="G1140"? So|strong="G2532" your|strong="G1487" own|strong="G0846" people|strong="G0846" will|strong="G1510" prove that|strong="G3778" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" wrong.
28 But|strong="G1161" I|strong="G1473" use the|strong="G3588" power of|strong="G0932" God’s|strong="G2316" Spirit|strong="G4151" to|strong="G1909" force out|strong="G1544" demons|strong="G1140", and|strong="G1161" this|strong="G3588" shows that|strong="G2316" God’s|strong="G2316" kingdom|strong="G0932" has|strong="G2316" come|strong="G5348" to|strong="G1909" you|strong="G5210".
29 Whoever|strong="G3588" wants to|strong="G1519" enter|strong="G1525" a|strong="G1437" strong|strong="G2478" man’s|strong="G5100" house|strong="G3614" and|strong="G2532" steal|strong="G0726" his|strong="G0846" things|strong="G0846" must|strong="G1525" first|strong="G4413" tie|strong="G1210" him|strong="G0846" up|strong="G1210". Then|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" can|strong="G1410" steal|strong="G0726" the|strong="G3588" things|strong="G0846" from|strong="G2228" his|strong="G0846" house|strong="G3614".
30 Whoever|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3361" with|strong="G3326" me|strong="G1473" is|strong="G1510" against|strong="G2596" me|strong="G1473". And|strong="G2532" anyone who|strong="G3588" does|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3361" work with|strong="G3326" me|strong="G1473" is|strong="G1510" working against|strong="G2596" me|strong="G1473".
31 “So|strong="G2532" I|strong="G2532" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", people|strong="G0444" can|strong="G3004" be|strong="G2532" forgiven|strong="G0863" for|strong="G1223" every|strong="G3956" sinful|strong="G0266" thing|strong="G3778" they|strong="G2532" do|strong="G3004" and|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1223" every|strong="G3956" bad thing|strong="G3778" they|strong="G2532" say|strong="G3004" against|strong="G3756" God|strong="G3004". 32 You|strong="G3739" can|strong="G3004" even|strong="G2532" speak|strong="G3004" against|strong="G2596" the|strong="G3588" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" Man|strong="G0444" and|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" forgiven|strong="G0863". 33 “If|strong="G2532" you|strong="G4160" want good|strong="G2570" fruit|strong="G2590", you|strong="G4160" must|strong="G4160" make|strong="G4160" the|strong="G3588" tree|strong="G1186" good|strong="G2570". If|strong="G2532" your|strong="G4160" tree|strong="G1186" is|strong="G3588" not|strong="G4160" good|strong="G2570", it|strong="G0846" will|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2532" bad|strong="G4550" fruit|strong="G2590". A|strong="G4160" tree|strong="G1186" is|strong="G3588" known|strong="G1097" by|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" kind of|strong="G1537" fruit|strong="G2590" it|strong="G0846" produces|strong="G4160".
34 You|strong="G1510" snakes! You|strong="G1510" are|strong="G1510" so|strong="G1063" evil|strong="G4190". How|strong="G4459" can|strong="G1410" you|strong="G1510" say|strong="G2980" anything good|strong="G0018"? What|strong="G3588" people|strong="G1510" say|strong="G2980" with|strong="G1537" their|strong="G2980" mouths|strong="G4750" comes|strong="G1510" from|strong="G1537" what|strong="G3588" fills|strong="G4051" their|strong="G2980" hearts|strong="G2588".
35 Those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" good|strong="G0018" have|strong="G2532" good|strong="G0018" things|strong="G0018" saved in|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" hearts. That’s why they|strong="G2532" say good|strong="G0018" things|strong="G0018". But|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" evil|strong="G4190" have|strong="G2532" hearts full of|strong="G1537" evil|strong="G4190", and|strong="G2532" that’s why they|strong="G2532" say things|strong="G0018" that|strong="G0444" are|strong="G3588" evil|strong="G4190".
36 I|strong="G3739" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210" that|strong="G3754" everyone|strong="G3956" will|strong="G3739" have|strong="G3748" to|strong="G3004" answer|strong="G3056" for|strong="G3754" all|strong="G3956" the|strong="G3956" careless|strong="G0692" things|strong="G3956" they|strong="G0846" have|strong="G3748" said|strong="G3004". 37 Your|strong="G2532" words|strong="G3056" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" used to|strong="G2532" judge you|strong="G4771". What|strong="G3588" you|strong="G4771" have|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3056" will|strong="G2532" show whether|strong="G2532" you|strong="G4771" are|strong="G3588" right or|strong="G2532" whether|strong="G2532" you|strong="G4771" are|strong="G3588" guilty.”

42 “On|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" judgment|strong="G2920" day, you|strong="G3754" people|strong="G0846" who|strong="G3588" live now|strong="G2532" will|strong="G4183" also|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" compared with|strong="G3326" the|strong="G3588" Queen|strong="G0938" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" South|strong="G3558", and|strong="G2532" she|strong="G0846" will|strong="G4183" be|strong="G2532" a|strong="G3708" witness who|strong="G3588" shows how|strong="G3754" guilty you|strong="G3754" are|strong="G3778". 43 “When|strong="G3752" an|strong="G2532" evil spirit|strong="G4151" comes|strong="G1831" out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G4151" a|strong="G2147" person|strong="G0444", it|strong="G1223" travels through|strong="G1223" dry places|strong="G5117" looking|strong="G2212" for|strong="G1223" a|strong="G2147" place|strong="G5117" to|strong="G2212" rest|strong="G0372", but|strong="G1161" it|strong="G1223" finds|strong="G2147" none|strong="G3756".
44 So|strong="G2532" it|strong="G5119" says|strong="G3004", ‘I|strong="G1473" will|strong="G2532" go|strong="G1831" back|strong="G1994" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" home|strong="G3624" I|strong="G1473" left|strong="G1831".’ When|strong="G2532" it|strong="G5119" comes|strong="G2064" back|strong="G1994", it|strong="G5119" finds|strong="G2147" that|strong="G3004" home|strong="G3624" still|strong="G2064" empty. 45 Then|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" evil|strong="G4190" spirit|strong="G4151" goes|strong="G4198" out|strong="G1438" and|strong="G2532" brings|strong="G3880" seven|strong="G2033" other|strong="G2087" spirits|strong="G4151" more|strong="G4190" evil|strong="G4190" than|strong="G2532" itself|strong="G1438". They|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3588" go|strong="G4198" and|strong="G2532" live|strong="G2730" there|strong="G1563", and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G1565" person|strong="G0444" has|strong="G1096" even|strong="G2532" more|strong="G4190" trouble than|strong="G2532" before|strong="G4413".
