That|strong="G3739" is|strong="G3778" like|strong="G4314" the|strong="G3588" people|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3739" hear|strong="G0191" God’s teaching|strong="G3056" and|strong="G2532" gladly accept|strong="G1209" it|strong="G0191". But|strong="G1161" they|strong="G3739" don’t|strong="G3756" have|strong="G2192" deep roots|strong="G4491". That|strong="G0191" is|strong="G1510" like the|strong="G3588" people|strong="G1510" who|strong="G3588" hear|strong="G0191" God’s teaching, but|strong="G1161" they|strong="G2532" let|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" worries|strong="G3308", riches|strong="G4149", and|strong="G2532" pleasures|strong="G2237" of|strong="G0191" this|strong="G3778" life|strong="G0979" stop them|strong="G0191" from|strong="G5259" growing. So|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" never|strong="G3756" produce a|strong="G1510" crop.
15 And|strong="G2532" what|strong="G3588" about|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" seed that|strong="G0191" fell on|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" good|strong="G0018" ground|strong="G1093"? That|strong="G0191" is|strong="G1510" like the|strong="G3588" people|strong="G1510" who|strong="G3588" hear|strong="G0191" God’s teaching|strong="G3056" with|strong="G1722" a|strong="G1510" good|strong="G0018", honest|strong="G2570" heart|strong="G2588". They|strong="G2532" obey|strong="G0191" it|strong="G0191" and|strong="G2532" patiently produce a|strong="G1510" good|strong="G0018" crop.
16 “No|strong="G3762" one|strong="G3762" lights|strong="G5457" a|strong="G2228" lamp|strong="G3088" and|strong="G1161" then|strong="G1161" covers|strong="G2572" it|strong="G0846" with|strong="G1909" a|strong="G2228" bowl or|strong="G2228" hides it|strong="G0846" under|strong="G5270" a|strong="G2228" bed|strong="G2825". But|strong="G2532" those|strong="G0846" who|strong="G3739" do|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3361" have|strong="G2192" understanding will|strong="G3739" lose even|strong="G2532" what|strong="G3739" they|strong="G0846" think|strong="G1380" they|strong="G0846" have|strong="G2192".”
19 Jesus’|strong="G3384" mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" brothers|strong="G0080" came|strong="G3854" to|strong="G4314" visit him|strong="G0846". But|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" get|strong="G4940" close to|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846", because|strong="G1223" there|strong="G1161" were|strong="G3793" so|strong="G2532" many|strong="G3793" people|strong="G3793".

21 Jesus|strong="G0846" answered|strong="G0611" them|strong="G0846", “My|strong="G0191" mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" my|strong="G0191" brothers|strong="G0080" are|strong="G1510" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" listen|strong="G0191" to|strong="G4314" God’s|strong="G2316" teaching|strong="G3056" and|strong="G2532" obey|strong="G4160" it|strong="G0846".”
22 One|strong="G1520" day|strong="G2250" Jesus|strong="G0846" and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" followers got|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" a|strong="G1096" boat|strong="G4143". A|strong="G2532" big storm|strong="G2978" blew across the|strong="G3588" lake|strong="G3041", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" boat began to|strong="G1519" fill with|strong="G2532" water.
