2 Some|strong="G1537" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3588" followers were|strong="G1510" together|strong="G3674"—Simon|strong="G4613" Peter|strong="G4074", Thomas|strong="G2381" (called|strong="G3004" Didymus|strong="G1324"), Nathanael|strong="G3482" from|strong="G0575" Cana|strong="G2580" in|strong="G2532" Galilee|strong="G1056", the|strong="G3588" two|strong="G1417" sons of|strong="G1537" Zebedee|strong="G2199", and|strong="G2532" two|strong="G1417" other|strong="G0243" followers.
3 Simon|strong="G4613" Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G3004", “I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1473" going|strong="G5217" out|strong="G1831" to|strong="G1519" fish.”
4 Early the|strong="G3588" next morning Jesus|strong="G2424" stood|strong="G2476" on|strong="G1909" the|strong="G3588" shore. But|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" followers did|strong="G1492" not|strong="G3756" know|strong="G1492" it|strong="G1161" was|strong="G1510" Jesus|strong="G2424".
5 Then|strong="G3767" he|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" them|strong="G0846", “Friends, have|strong="G2192" you|strong="G3004" caught any|strong="G5100" fish|strong="G4371"?”
6 He|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", “Throw|strong="G0906" your|strong="G2532" net|strong="G1350" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" water on|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" right|strong="G1188" side|strong="G3313" of|strong="G0575" your|strong="G2532" boat|strong="G4143". You|strong="G3004" will|strong="G2532" find|strong="G2147" some|strong="G3588" fish|strong="G2486" there|strong="G1161".” So|strong="G3767" they|strong="G0846" did|strong="G2147" this|strong="G3588". They|strong="G0846" caught so|strong="G3767" many fish|strong="G2486" that|strong="G3004" they|strong="G0846" could|strong="G2480" not|strong="G3765" pull the|strong="G3588" net|strong="G1350" back|strong="G1519" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" boat|strong="G4143".
7 The|strong="G3588" follower Jesus|strong="G2424" loved|strong="G0025" very|strong="G2532" much said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G1519" Peter|strong="G4074", “That|strong="G3754" man|strong="G1565" is|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" Lord|strong="G2962"!” When|strong="G2532" Peter|strong="G4074" heard|strong="G0191" him|strong="G3739" say|strong="G3004" it|strong="G0191" was|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" Lord|strong="G2962", he|strong="G2532" wrapped his|strong="G0025" coat around himself|strong="G1438". (He|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2424" taken his|strong="G0025" clothes off to|strong="G1519" work.) Then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" jumped into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" water.
8 The|strong="G3588" other|strong="G0243" followers went|strong="G2064" to|strong="G2064" shore|strong="G1093" in|strong="G0575" the|strong="G3588" boat|strong="G4142". They|strong="G1161" pulled the|strong="G3588" net|strong="G1350" full of|strong="G0575" fish|strong="G2486". They|strong="G1161" were|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" very far|strong="G3112" from|strong="G0575" shore|strong="G1093", only|strong="G3756" about|strong="G5613" 100 yards|strong="G4083".
9 When|strong="G5613" they|strong="G3767" stepped out of|strong="G1093" the|strong="G3588" boat and|strong="G2532" onto|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" shore|strong="G1093", they|strong="G3767" saw|strong="G0991" a|strong="G5613" fire|strong="G0439" of|strong="G1093" hot coals. There were|strong="G3588" fish|strong="G3795" on|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" fire|strong="G0439" and|strong="G2532" some|strong="G3588" bread|strong="G0740" there too|strong="G2532".
10 Then|strong="G2424" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004", “Bring|strong="G5342" some|strong="G3588" of|strong="G0575" the|strong="G3588" fish|strong="G3795" that|strong="G3739" you|strong="G3739" caught|strong="G4084".”
11 Simon|strong="G4613" Peter|strong="G4074" got|strong="G0305" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" boat and|strong="G2532" pulled|strong="G1670" the|strong="G3588" net|strong="G1350" to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G3588" shore|strong="G1093". It|strong="G1510" was|strong="G1510" full|strong="G3324" of|strong="G1093" big|strong="G3173" fish|strong="G2486"—153 of|strong="G1093" them|strong="G4074"! But|strong="G2532" even|strong="G2532" with|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3767" many|strong="G5118" fish|strong="G2486", the|strong="G3588" net|strong="G1350" did|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" tear|strong="G4977".
12 Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" them|strong="G0846", “Come|strong="G1205" and|strong="G1161" eat.” None|strong="G3762" of|strong="G2962" the|strong="G3588" followers would|strong="G3762" ask|strong="G3004" him|strong="G0846", “Who|strong="G3588" are|strong="G1510" you|strong="G4771"?” They|strong="G0846" knew|strong="G1492" he|strong="G0846" was|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" Lord|strong="G2962".
13 Jesus|strong="G2424" walked over|strong="G1325" to|strong="G2064" get the|strong="G3588" bread|strong="G0740" and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" it|strong="G0846" to|strong="G2064" them|strong="G0846". He|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" them|strong="G0846" the|strong="G3588" fish|strong="G3795".
14 This|strong="G3778" was|strong="G2424" now|strong="G2235" the|strong="G3588" third|strong="G5154" time|strong="G5154" Jesus|strong="G2424" appeared|strong="G5319" to|strong="G3778" his|strong="G5319" followers after|strong="G1537" he|strong="G3778" was|strong="G2424" raised|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" death|strong="G3498".

17 A|strong="G3004" third|strong="G5154" time|strong="G5154" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004", “Simon|strong="G4613", son of|strong="G2962" John|strong="G2491", do|strong="G1492" you|strong="G4771" love|strong="G5368" me|strong="G3004"?”
18 The|strong="G3588" truth is|strong="G1510", when|strong="G3752" you|strong="G4771" were|strong="G1510" young|strong="G3501", you|strong="G4771" tied your|strong="G2532" own|strong="G4572" belt and|strong="G2532" went|strong="G4043" where|strong="G3699" you|strong="G4771" wanted|strong="G2309". But|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3752" you|strong="G4771" are|strong="G1510" old|strong="G1095", you|strong="G4771" will|strong="G1510" put out|strong="G4572" your|strong="G2532" hands|strong="G5495", and|strong="G2532" someone|strong="G0243" else|strong="G0243" will|strong="G1510" tie your|strong="G2532" belt. They|strong="G2532" will|strong="G1510" lead|strong="G1510" you|strong="G4771" where|strong="G3699" you|strong="G4771" don’t|strong="G3756" want|strong="G2309" to|strong="G3004" go.”
19 (Jesus|strong="G0846" said|strong="G3004" this|strong="G3778" to|strong="G3004" show how Peter|strong="G0846" would|strong="G0846" die|strong="G2288" to|strong="G3004" give|strong="G3004" glory|strong="G1392" to|strong="G3004" God|strong="G2316".) 21 When|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" saw|strong="G3708" him|strong="G3708" behind them|strong="G3004", he|strong="G3778" asked|strong="G3004" Jesus|strong="G2424", “Lord|strong="G2962", what|strong="G5101" about|strong="G3588" him|strong="G3708"?”
22 Jesus|strong="G2424" answered|strong="G3004", “Maybe I|strong="G1473" want|strong="G2309" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G4314" live until|strong="G2193" I|strong="G1473" come|strong="G2064". That|strong="G3004" should|strong="G3306" not|strong="G2309" matter to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G4771". You|strong="G4771" follow|strong="G0190" me|strong="G3004"!”

He|strong="G2532" only|strong="G3756" said|strong="G3004", “Maybe I|strong="G1437" want|strong="G2309" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G1519" live until|strong="G2193" I|strong="G1437" come|strong="G2064". That|strong="G3754" should|strong="G0080" not|strong="G3756" matter|strong="G3056" to|strong="G1519" you|strong="G4771".”
24 That|strong="G3754" follower is|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" telling these|strong="G3778" things|strong="G3778". He|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3588" has|strong="G3778" now|strong="G2532" written|strong="G1125" them|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3588" down|strong="G1125". 25 There|strong="G1510" are|strong="G1510" many|strong="G4183" other|strong="G0243" things|strong="G4183" that|strong="G0846" Jesus|strong="G2424" did|strong="G4160". If|strong="G1437" every|strong="G2596" one|strong="G1520" of|strong="G1520" them|strong="G0846" were|strong="G1510" written|strong="G1125" down|strong="G2596", I|strong="G1437" think the|strong="G2532" whole world|strong="G2889" would|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3761" be|strong="G1510" big enough|strong="G4183" for|strong="G1520" all|strong="G4183" the|strong="G2532" books|strong="G0975" that|strong="G0846" would|strong="G0846" be|strong="G1510" written|strong="G1125".
