2 And|strong="G0235" the|strong="G3761" teaching I|strong="G3568" gave|strong="G4222" you|strong="G5210" was|strong="G4771" like milk|strong="G1051", not|strong="G3756" solid food|strong="G1033". I|strong="G3568" did|strong="G3761" this|strong="G3568" because|strong="G1063" you|strong="G5210" were|strong="G3756" not|strong="G3756" ready|strong="G1410" for|strong="G1063" solid food|strong="G1033". And|strong="G0235" even|strong="G3761" now|strong="G3568" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G4222" not|strong="G3756" ready|strong="G1410".
3 You|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" still|strong="G2089" not|strong="G3780" following|strong="G2596" the|strong="G2532" Spirit. You|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" jealous of|strong="G1722" each|strong="G2596" other, and|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" always arguing with|strong="G1722" each|strong="G2596" other. This|strong="G2532" shows that|strong="G0444" you|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" still|strong="G2089" following|strong="G2596" your|strong="G2532" own selfish desires. You|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" acting like|strong="G2596" ordinary people|strong="G0444" of|strong="G1722" the|strong="G2532" world.
4 One|strong="G5100" of|strong="G5100" you|strong="G3752" says|strong="G3004", “I|strong="G1473" follow Paul|strong="G3972",” and|strong="G1161" someone|strong="G5100" else|strong="G2087" says|strong="G3004", “I|strong="G1473" follow Apollos|strong="G0625".” When|strong="G3752" you|strong="G3752" say|strong="G3004" things|strong="G5100" like that|strong="G3004", you|strong="G3752" are|strong="G1510" acting like people|strong="G0444" of|strong="G5100" the|strong="G1161" world.
5 Is|strong="G1510" Apollos|strong="G0625" so|strong="G3767" important? Is|strong="G1510" Paul|strong="G3972" so|strong="G3767" important? We|strong="G3739" are|strong="G1510" only|strong="G2532" servants|strong="G1249" of|strong="G1223" God|strong="G1325" who|strong="G3739" helped you|strong="G3739" believe|strong="G4100". Each|strong="G1538" one|strong="G1538" of|strong="G1223" us|strong="G1325" did|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" work God|strong="G1325" gave|strong="G1325" us|strong="G1325" to|strong="G2532" do|strong="G4100".
6 I|strong="G1473" planted|strong="G5452" the|strong="G3588" seed and|strong="G2316" Apollos|strong="G0625" watered|strong="G4222" it|strong="G0837". But|strong="G0235" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G2316" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" made|strong="G4222" the|strong="G3588" seed grow|strong="G0837".
7 So|strong="G5620" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G5100" who|strong="G3588" plants|strong="G5452" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G1510" important, and|strong="G2316" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G5100" who|strong="G3588" waters|strong="G4222" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G1510" important. Only|strong="G0235" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G1510" important, because|strong="G1510" he|strong="G1510" is|strong="G1510" the|strong="G3588" one|strong="G5100" who|strong="G3588" makes things|strong="G5100" grow|strong="G0837".

9 We|strong="G1510" are|strong="G1510" workers|strong="G4904" together for|strong="G1063" God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2316" you|strong="G1510" are|strong="G1510" like a|strong="G1510" farm that|strong="G2316" belongs|strong="G1510" to|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316".
10 Like|strong="G5613" an|strong="G1325" expert builder|strong="G0753" I|strong="G1473" built|strong="G2026" the|strong="G3588" foundation|strong="G2310" of|strong="G2316" that|strong="G2316" house. I|strong="G1473" used the|strong="G3588" gift|strong="G5485" that|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316" gave|strong="G1325" me|strong="G1325" to|strong="G2596" do|strong="G4459" this|strong="G3588". Other|strong="G0243" people|strong="G3588" are|strong="G3588" building|strong="G2026" on|strong="G2596" that|strong="G2316" foundation|strong="G2310". 12 People|strong="G5100" can build on|strong="G1909" that|strong="G1161" foundation|strong="G2310" using gold|strong="G5553", silver|strong="G0694", jewels, wood|strong="G3586", grass|strong="G5528", or|strong="G1161" straw|strong="G2562".
13 But|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" work|strong="G2041" that|strong="G3754" each|strong="G1538" person|strong="G1538" does|strong="G1510" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" clearly seen, because|strong="G3754" the|strong="G3588" Day|strong="G2250" will|strong="G1510" make it|strong="G0846" plain|strong="G5318". 15 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" their|strong="G0846" building is|strong="G5100" burned|strong="G2618" up|strong="G2618", they|strong="G0846" will|strong="G5100" suffer|strong="G2210" loss|strong="G2210". They|strong="G0846" will|strong="G5100" be|strong="G5100" saved|strong="G4982", but|strong="G1161" it|strong="G0846" will|strong="G5100" be|strong="G5100" like|strong="G5613" someone|strong="G5100" escaping from|strong="G1223" a|strong="G5613" fire|strong="G4442".
16 You|strong="G5210" should|strong="G2316" know|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" you|strong="G5210" yourselves|strong="G4771" are|strong="G1510" God’s|strong="G2316" temple|strong="G3485". God’s|strong="G2316" Spirit|strong="G4151" lives|strong="G3611" in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210".
17 If|strong="G1487" you|strong="G5210" destroy|strong="G5351" God’s|strong="G2316" temple|strong="G3485", God|strong="G2316" will|strong="G2316" destroy|strong="G5351" you|strong="G5210", because|strong="G1063" God’s|strong="G2316" temple|strong="G3485" is|strong="G1510" holy|strong="G0040". You|strong="G5210" yourselves|strong="G4771" are|strong="G1510" God’s|strong="G2316" temple|strong="G3485".
18 Don’t|strong="G3367" fool|strong="G3474" yourselves|strong="G1438". Whoever|strong="G3588" thinks|strong="G1380" they|strong="G3778" are|strong="G1510" wise|strong="G4680" in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3778" world|strong="G0165" should|strong="G5100" become|strong="G1096" a|strong="G1096" fool|strong="G3474". That’s the|strong="G3588" only|strong="G1487" way|strong="G1722" they|strong="G3778" can be|strong="G1510" wise|strong="G4680".
19 I|strong="G3778" say this|strong="G3778" because|strong="G1063" the|strong="G3588" wisdom|strong="G4678" of|strong="G2316" this|strong="G3778" world|strong="G2889" is|strong="G1510" foolishness|strong="G3472" to|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316". As|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" Scriptures say, “He|strong="G0846" catches|strong="G1405" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" think they|strong="G0846" are|strong="G1510" wise|strong="G4680" in|strong="G1722" their|strong="G0846" own|strong="G0846" clever|strong="G4678" traps.”
20 The|strong="G3588" Scriptures also|strong="G2532" say, “The|strong="G3588" Lord|strong="G2962" knows|strong="G1097" the|strong="G3588" thoughts|strong="G1261" of|strong="G2962" the|strong="G3588" wise|strong="G4680". He|strong="G2532" knows|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" their|strong="G2532" thoughts|strong="G1261" are|strong="G1510" worth nothing.”
21 So|strong="G5620" there|strong="G1510" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3367" a|strong="G1510" person|strong="G0444" on|strong="G1722" earth that|strong="G5620" any|strong="G3956" of|strong="G3956" you|strong="G5210" should|strong="G3367" be|strong="G1510" boasting|strong="G2744" about|strong="G1722". Everything|strong="G3956" is|strong="G1510" yours|strong="G4771":
22 Paul|strong="G3972", Apollos|strong="G0625", Peter, the|strong="G3956" world|strong="G2889", life|strong="G2222", death|strong="G2288", the|strong="G3956" present|strong="G1764", and|strong="G3972" the|strong="G3956" future|strong="G3195"—all|strong="G3956" these are|strong="G3956" yours|strong="G4771".
23 And|strong="G1161" you|strong="G5210" belong to|strong="G2316" Christ|strong="G5547", and|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547" belongs to|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316".
