2 Judah|strong="H3063" mourneth, and|strong="H3063" the|strong="H5927" gates|strong="H8179" thereof|strong="H8179" languish, they|strong="H3389" sit|strong="H6937" in|strong="H3063" black|strong="H6937" upon|strong="H5927" the|strong="H5927" ground; and|strong="H3063" the|strong="H5927" cry|strong="H6682" of|strong="H8179" Jerusalem|strong="H3389" is|strong="H3389" gone|strong="H5927" up|strong="H5927".
3 And|strong="H7971" their|strong="H7725" nobles send|strong="H7971" their|strong="H7725" little|strong="H6810" ones|strong="H6810" to|strong="H7725" the|strong="H5921" waters|strong="H4325": they|strong="H3808" come|strong="H4672" to|strong="H7725" the|strong="H5921" cisterns|strong="H1356", and|strong="H7971" find|strong="H4672" no|strong="H3808" water|strong="H4325"; they|strong="H3808" return|strong="H7725" with|strong="H5921" their|strong="H7725" vessels|strong="H3627" empty|strong="H7387"; they|strong="H3808" are|strong="H4325" put|strong="H7971" to|strong="H7725" shame|strong="H3637" and|strong="H7971" confounded|strong="H3637", and|strong="H7971" cover|strong="H2645" their|strong="H7725" heads|strong="H7218".
4 Because|strong="H3588" of|strong="H7218" the|strong="H3588" ground which|strong="H3588" is|strong="H1961" cracked|strong="H2865", for|strong="H3588" that|strong="H3588" no|strong="H3808" rain|strong="H1653" hath|strong="H3588" been|strong="H1961" in|strong="H3808" the|strong="H3588" land, the|strong="H3588" plowmen are|strong="H1961" put to|strong="H1961" shame, they|strong="H3588" cover|strong="H2645" their|strong="H3588" heads|strong="H7218".
5 Yea|strong="H3588", the|strong="H3588" hind also|strong="H1571" in|strong="H3808" the|strong="H3588" field|strong="H7704" calveth, and|strong="H7704" forsaketh|strong="H5800" her young, because|strong="H3588" there|strong="H1961" is|strong="H1571" no|strong="H3808" grass|strong="H1877".
6 And|strong="H5869" the|strong="H5921" wild|strong="H6501" asses|strong="H6501" stand|strong="H5975" on|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" bare|strong="H8205" heights|strong="H8205", they|strong="H3588" pant|strong="H7602" for|strong="H3588" air|strong="H7307" like|strong="H7307" jackals|strong="H8577"; their|strong="H5921" eyes|strong="H5869" fail|strong="H3615", because|strong="H3588" there|strong="H5975" is|strong="H7307" no|strong="H5975" herbage.
7 Though|strong="H3588" our|strong="H3068" iniquities|strong="H5771" testify|strong="H6030" against|strong="H2398" us|strong="H6213", work|strong="H6213" thou|strong="H6213" for|strong="H3588" thy|strong="H3068" name|strong="H8034"’s sake|strong="H4616", O|strong="H3068" Jehovah|strong="H3068"; for|strong="H3588" our|strong="H3068" backslidings|strong="H4878" are|strong="H3068" many|strong="H7231"; we|strong="H3068" have|strong="H3068" sinned|strong="H2398" against|strong="H2398" thee|strong="H6213".
8 O|strong="H3068" thou|strong="H1961" hope|strong="H4723" of|strong="H6256" Israel|strong="H3478", the|strong="H1961" Savior|strong="H3467" thereof in|strong="H3478" the|strong="H1961" time|strong="H6256" of|strong="H6256" trouble|strong="H6869", why|strong="H4100" shouldest thou|strong="H1961" be|strong="H1961" as|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" sojourner|strong="H1616" in|strong="H3478" the|strong="H1961" land, and|strong="H3478" as|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" wayfaring man that|strong="H1616" turneth|strong="H5186" aside|strong="H5186" to|strong="H3478" tarry|strong="H3885" for|strong="H3478" a|strong="H3068" night|strong="H3885"?
9 Why|strong="H4100" shouldest thou|strong="H1961" be|strong="H1961" as|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" man|strong="H1368" affrighted, as|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" mighty|strong="H1368" man|strong="H1368" that|strong="H3068" cannot|strong="H3808" save|strong="H3467"? Yet|strong="H3068" thou|strong="H1961", O|strong="H3068" Jehovah|strong="H3068", art|strong="H1961" in|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" midst|strong="H7130" of|strong="H3068" us|strong="H5921", and|strong="H3068" we|strong="H3068" are|strong="H4100" called|strong="H7121" by|strong="H5921" thy|strong="H3068" name|strong="H8034"; leave|strong="H3240" us|strong="H5921" not|strong="H3808".

15 Therefore|strong="H3651" thus|strong="H3541" saith Jehovah|strong="H3068" concerning|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" prophets|strong="H5030" that|strong="H3068" prophesy|strong="H5012" in|strong="H5921" my|strong="H3068" name|strong="H8034", and|strong="H3068" I|strong="H3541" sent|strong="H7971" them|strong="H1992" not|strong="H3808", yet|strong="H3068" they|strong="H1992" say, Sword|strong="H2719" and|strong="H3068" famine|strong="H7458" shall|strong="H3068" not|strong="H3808" be|strong="H1961" in|strong="H5921" this|strong="H2063" land: By|strong="H5921" sword|strong="H2719" and|strong="H3068" famine|strong="H7458" shall|strong="H3068" those|strong="H1992" prophets|strong="H5030" be|strong="H1961" consumed|strong="H8552".

19 Hast thou utterly|strong="H3988" rejected|strong="H3988" Judah|strong="H3063"? hath|strong="H5315" thy|strong="H5221" soul|strong="H5315" loathed|strong="H1602" Zion|strong="H6726"? why|strong="H4069" hast thou smitten|strong="H5221" us|strong="H5315", and|strong="H3063" there|strong="H2009" is|strong="H5315" no healing|strong="H4832" for|strong="H6960" us|strong="H5315"? We|strong="H5315" looked|strong="H6960" for|strong="H6960" peace|strong="H7965", but|strong="H2009" no good|strong="H2896" came|strong="H3063"; and|strong="H3063" for|strong="H6960" a|strong="H3068" time|strong="H6256" of|strong="H6256" healing|strong="H4832", and|strong="H3063", behold|strong="H2009", dismay!
