Then Naomi|strong="H5281" her mother in law|strong="H2545" said|strong="H0559" unto her, My daughter|strong="H1323", shall I not seek|strong="H1245" rest|strong="H4494" for thee, that it may be well|strong="H3190" with thee?

And now is not Boaz|strong="H1162" of our kindred|strong="H4130", with whose maidens|strong="H5291" thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth|strong="H2219" barley|strong="H8184" to night|strong="H3915" in the threshingfloor|strong="H1637".

Wash|strong="H7364" thyself therefore, and anoint|strong="H5480" thee, and put|strong="H7760" thy raiment|strong="H8071" upon thee, and get thee down|strong="H3381" to the floor|strong="H1637": but make not thyself known|strong="H3045" unto the man|strong="H0376", until he shall have done|strong="H3615" eating|strong="H0398" and drinking|strong="H8354".

And it shall be, when he lieth down|strong="H7901", that thou shalt mark|strong="H3045" the place|strong="H4725" where he shall lie|strong="H7901", and thou shalt go in|strong="H0935", and uncover|strong="H1540" his feet|strong="H4772", and lay thee down|strong="H7901"; and he will tell|strong="H5046" thee what thou shalt do|strong="H6213".

And she said|strong="H0559" unto her, All that thou sayest|strong="H0559" unto me I will do|strong="H6213".

And she went down|strong="H3381" unto the floor|strong="H1637", and did|strong="H6213" according to all that her mother in law|strong="H2545" bade|strong="H6680" her.

And when Boaz|strong="H1162" had eaten|strong="H0398" and drunk|strong="H8354", and his heart|strong="H3820" was merry|strong="H3190", he went|strong="H0935" to lie down|strong="H7901" at the end|strong="H7097" of the heap of corn|strong="H6194": and she came|strong="H0935" softly|strong="H3909", and uncovered|strong="H1540" his feet|strong="H4772", and laid her down|strong="H7901".

And it came to pass at midnight|strong="H2677", that the man|strong="H0376" was afraid|strong="H2729", and turned|strong="H3943" himself: and, behold, a woman|strong="H0802" lay|strong="H7901" at his feet|strong="H4772".

And he said|strong="H0559", Who art thou? And she answered|strong="H0559", I am Ruth|strong="H7327" thine handmaid|strong="H0519": spread|strong="H6566" therefore thy skirt|strong="H3671" over thine handmaid|strong="H0519"; for thou art a near kinsman|strong="H1350".

And he said|strong="H0559", Blessed|strong="H1288" be thou of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, my daughter|strong="H1323": for thou hast shewed|strong="H3190" more kindness|strong="H2617" in the latter end|strong="H0314" than at the beginning|strong="H7223", inasmuch as thou followedst|strong="H3212" not|strong="H1115" young men|strong="H0970", whether poor|strong="H1800" or rich|strong="H6223".

And now, my daughter|strong="H1323", fear|strong="H3372" not; I will do|strong="H6213" to thee all that thou requirest|strong="H0559": for all the city|strong="H8179" of my people|strong="H5971" doth know|strong="H3045" that thou art a virtuous|strong="H2428" woman|strong="H0802".

And now it is true|strong="H0551" that I am thy near kinsman|strong="H1350": howbeit there is|strong="H3426" a kinsman|strong="H1350" nearer|strong="H7138" than I.

Tarry|strong="H3885" this night|strong="H3915", and it shall be in the morning|strong="H1242", that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman|strong="H1350", well|strong="H2896"; let him do the kinsman’s part|strong="H1350": but if he will|strong="H2654" not do the part of a kinsman|strong="H1350" to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman|strong="H1350" to thee, as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* liveth|strong="H2416": lie down|strong="H7901" until the morning|strong="H1242".

And she lay|strong="H7901" at his feet|strong="H4772" until the morning|strong="H1242": and she rose up|strong="H6965" before|strong="H2958" one|strong="H0376" could know|strong="H5234" another|strong="H7453". And he said|strong="H0559", Let it not be known|strong="H3045" that a woman|strong="H0802" came|strong="H0935" into the floor|strong="H1637".

Also he said|strong="H0559", Bring|strong="H3051" the vail|strong="H4304" that thou hast upon thee, and hold|strong="H0270" it. And when she held|strong="H0270" it, he measured|strong="H4058" six|strong="H8337" measures of barley|strong="H8184", and laid|strong="H7896" it on her: and she went|strong="H0935" into the city|strong="H5892".

And when she came|strong="H0935" to her mother in law|strong="H2545", she said|strong="H0559", Who art thou, my daughter|strong="H1323"? And she told|strong="H5046" her all that the man|strong="H0376" had done|strong="H6213" to her.

And she said|strong="H0559", These six|strong="H8337" measures of barley|strong="H8184" gave|strong="H5414" he me; for he said|strong="H0559" to me, Go|strong="H0935" not empty|strong="H7387" unto thy mother in law|strong="H2545".

Then said|strong="H0559" she, Sit still|strong="H3427", my daughter|strong="H1323", until thou know|strong="H3045" how the matter|strong="H1697" will fall|strong="H5307": for the man|strong="H0376" will not be in rest|strong="H8252", until|strong="H0518" he have finished|strong="H3615" the thing|strong="H1697" this day|strong="H3117".
