1 Therefore|strong="G3767" being justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1537" faith|strong="G4102", we have|strong="G2192" peace|strong="G1515" with|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316" through|strong="G1223" our|strong="G2257" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547":
2 By|strong="G1223" whom|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" we have|strong="G2192" access|strong="G4318" by faith|strong="G4102" into|strong="G1519" this|strong="G3778" grace|strong="G5485" wherein|strong="G1722" we stand|strong="G2476", and|strong="G2532" rejoice|strong="G2744" in|strong="G1909" hope|strong="G1680" of the glory|strong="G1391" of God|strong="G2316".
3 And|strong="G1161" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" so, but|strong="G0235" we glory|strong="G2744" in|strong="G1722" tribulations|strong="G2347" also|strong="G2532": knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" tribulation|strong="G2347" worketh|strong="G2716" patience|strong="G5281";
4 And|strong="G1161" patience|strong="G5281", experience|strong="G1382"; and|strong="G1161" experience|strong="G1382", hope|strong="G1680":
5 And|strong="G1161" hope|strong="G1680" maketh|strong="G2617" not|strong="G3756" ashamed|strong="G2617"; because|strong="G3754" the love|strong="G0026" of God|strong="G2316" is shed abroad|strong="G1632" in|strong="G1722" our|strong="G2257" hearts|strong="G2588" by|strong="G1223" the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151" which is given|strong="G1325" unto us|strong="G2254".
6 For|strong="G1063" when|strong="G5607" we|strong="G2257" were|strong="G5607" yet|strong="G2089" without strength|strong="G0772", in due|strong="G2596" time|strong="G2540" Christ|strong="G5547" died|strong="G0599" for|strong="G5228" the ungodly|strong="G0765".
7 For|strong="G1063" scarcely|strong="G3433" for|strong="G5228" a righteous man|strong="G1342" will|strong="G0599" one|strong="G5100" die|strong="G0599": yet|strong="G1063" peradventure|strong="G5029" for|strong="G5228" a good man|strong="G0018" some|strong="G5100" would|strong="G5111" even|strong="G2532" dare|strong="G5111" to die|strong="G0599".
8 But|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316" commendeth|strong="G4921" his|strong="G1438" love|strong="G0026" toward|strong="G1519" us|strong="G2248", in that|strong="G3754", while|strong="G5607" we|strong="G2257" were|strong="G5607" yet|strong="G2089" sinners|strong="G0268", Christ|strong="G5547" died|strong="G0599" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G2257".
9 Much|strong="G4183" more|strong="G3123" then|strong="G3767", being|strong="G1344" now|strong="G3568" justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" blood|strong="G0129", we shall be saved|strong="G4982" from|strong="G0575" wrath|strong="G3709" through|strong="G1223" him|strong="G0846".
10 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487", when we were|strong="G5607" enemies|strong="G2190", we were reconciled|strong="G2644" to God|strong="G2316" by|strong="G1223" the death|strong="G2288" of his|strong="G0846" Son|strong="G5207", much|strong="G4183" more|strong="G3123", being reconciled|strong="G2644", we shall be saved|strong="G4982" by|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" life|strong="G2222".
11 And|strong="G1161" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" so, but|strong="G0235" we|strong="G2744" also|strong="G2532" joy|strong="G2744" in|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2316" through|strong="G1223" our|strong="G2257" Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", by|strong="G1223" whom|strong="G3739" we have|strong="G2983" now|strong="G3568" received|strong="G2983" the atonement|strong="G2643".
12 Wherefore|strong="G1223", as|strong="G5618" by|strong="G1223" one|strong="G1520" man|strong="G0444" sin|strong="G0266" entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the world|strong="G2889", and|strong="G2532" death|strong="G2288" by|strong="G1223" sin|strong="G0266"; and|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" death|strong="G2288" passed|strong="G1330" upon|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" men|strong="G0444", for|strong="G1909" that|strong="G3739" all|strong="G3956" have sinned|strong="G0264":
13 (For|strong="G1063" until|strong="G0891" the law|strong="G3551" sin|strong="G0266" was|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" the world|strong="G2889": but|strong="G1161" sin|strong="G0266" is|strong="G1677" not|strong="G3756" imputed|strong="G1677" when there is|strong="G5607" no|strong="G3361" law|strong="G3551".
14 Nevertheless|strong="G0235" death|strong="G2288" reigned|strong="G0936" from|strong="G0575" Adam|strong="G0076" to|strong="G3360" Moses|strong="G3475", even|strong="G2532" over|strong="G1909" them that had|strong="G0264" not|strong="G3361" sinned|strong="G0264" after|strong="G1909" the similitude|strong="G3667" of|strong="G3847" Adam’s|strong="G0076" transgression|strong="G3847", who|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076" the figure|strong="G5179" of him that was to come|strong="G3195".
15 But|strong="G0235" not|strong="G3756" as|strong="G5613" the offence|strong="G3900", so|strong="G3779" also|strong="G2532" is the free gift|strong="G5486". For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" through the offence|strong="G3900" of one|strong="G1520" many|strong="G4183" be dead|strong="G0599", much|strong="G4183" more|strong="G3123" the grace|strong="G5485" of God|strong="G2316", and|strong="G2532" the gift|strong="G1431" by|strong="G1722" grace|strong="G5485", which is by one|strong="G1520" man|strong="G0444", Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", hath abounded|strong="G4052" unto|strong="G1519" many|strong="G4183".
16 And|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" as|strong="G5613" it was by|strong="G1223" one|strong="G1520" that sinned|strong="G0264", so is the gift|strong="G1434": for|strong="G1063" the judgment|strong="G2917" was by|strong="G1537" one|strong="G1520" to|strong="G1519" condemnation|strong="G2631", but|strong="G1161" the free gift|strong="G5486" is of|strong="G1537" many|strong="G4183" offences|strong="G3900" unto|strong="G1519" justification|strong="G1345".
17 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" by|strong="G3900" one man’s|strong="G1520" offence|strong="G3900" death|strong="G2288" reigned|strong="G0936" by|strong="G1223" one|strong="G1520"; much|strong="G4183" more|strong="G3123" they which receive|strong="G2983" abundance|strong="G4050" of grace|strong="G5485" and|strong="G2532" of the gift|strong="G1431" of righteousness|strong="G1343" shall reign|strong="G0936" in|strong="G1722" life|strong="G2222" by|strong="G1223" one|strong="G1520", Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".)
18 Therefore|strong="G0686" as|strong="G5613" by|strong="G1223" the offence|strong="G3900" of one|strong="G1520" judgment came upon|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" men|strong="G0444" to|strong="G1519" condemnation|strong="G2631"; even|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" by|strong="G1223" the righteousness|strong="G1345" of one|strong="G1520" the free gift came upon|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" men|strong="G0444" unto|strong="G1519" justification|strong="G1347" of life|strong="G2222".
19 For|strong="G1063" as|strong="G5618" by|strong="G1223" one|strong="G1520" man’s|strong="G0444" disobedience|strong="G3876" many|strong="G4183" were made|strong="G2525" sinners|strong="G0268", so|strong="G3779" by|strong="G1223" the obedience|strong="G5218" of one|strong="G1520" shall|strong="G2525" many|strong="G4183" be made|strong="G2525" righteous|strong="G1342".
20 Moreover|strong="G1161" the law|strong="G3551" entered|strong="G3922", that|strong="G2443" the offence|strong="G3900" might abound|strong="G4121". But|strong="G1161" where|strong="G3757" sin|strong="G0266" abounded|strong="G4121", grace|strong="G5485" did much more abound|strong="G5248":
21 That|strong="G2443" as|strong="G5618" sin|strong="G0266" hath reigned|strong="G0936" unto|strong="G1722" death|strong="G2288", even|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" might|strong="G0936" grace|strong="G5485" reign|strong="G0936" through|strong="G1223" righteousness|strong="G1343" unto|strong="G1519" eternal|strong="G0166" life|strong="G2222" by|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" our|strong="G2257" Lord|strong="G2962".
