2 Send|strong="H7971" thou men|strong="H0582", that they may search|strong="H8446" the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", which I give|strong="H5414" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": of every|strong="H0376" tribe|strong="H4294" of their fathers|strong="H0001" shall ye send|strong="H7971" a man|strong="H0259", every one a ruler|strong="H5387" among them.
3 And Moses|strong="H4872" by the commandment|strong="H6310" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* sent|strong="H7971" them from the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Paran|strong="H6290": all those men|strong="H0582" \+w were|strong="H1992"\+w* heads|strong="H7218" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
4 And these were their names|strong="H8034": of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Reuben|strong="H7205", Shammua|strong="H8051" the son|strong="H1121" of Zaccur|strong="H2139".
5 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Simeon|strong="H8095", Shaphat|strong="H8202" the son|strong="H1121" of Hori|strong="H2753".
6 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Judah|strong="H3063", Caleb|strong="H3612" the son|strong="H1121" of Jephunneh|strong="H3312".
7 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Issachar|strong="H3485", Igal|strong="H3008" the son|strong="H1121" of Joseph|strong="H3130".
8 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Ephraim|strong="H0669", Oshea|strong="H1954" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126".
9 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Benjamin|strong="H1144", Palti|strong="H6406" the son|strong="H1121" of Raphu|strong="H7505".
10 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Zebulun|strong="H2074", Gaddiel|strong="H1427" the son|strong="H1121" of Sodi|strong="H5476".

15 Of the tribe|strong="H4294" of Gad|strong="H1410", Geuel|strong="H1345" the son|strong="H1121" of Machi|strong="H4352".
16 These are the names|strong="H8034" of the men|strong="H0582" which Moses|strong="H4872" sent|strong="H7971" to spy out|strong="H8446" the land|strong="H0776". And Moses|strong="H4872" called|strong="H7121" Oshea|strong="H1954" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126" Jehoshua|strong="H3091".
17 And Moses|strong="H4872" sent|strong="H7971" them to spy out|strong="H8446" the land|strong="H0776" of Canaan|strong="H3667", and said|strong="H0559" unto them, Get you up|strong="H5927" this way southward|strong="H5045", and go up|strong="H5927" into the mountain|strong="H2022":
18 And see|strong="H7200" the land|strong="H0776", what it is; and the people|strong="H5971" that dwelleth|strong="H3427" therein, whether they be strong|strong="H2389" or weak|strong="H7504", few|strong="H4592" or many|strong="H7227";
19 And what the land|strong="H0776" is that they dwell in|strong="H3427", whether it be good|strong="H2896" or bad|strong="H7451"; and what cities|strong="H5892" they be that they dwell|strong="H3427" in|strong="H2007", whether in tents|strong="H4264", or in strong holds|strong="H4013";
20 And what the land|strong="H0776" is, whether it be fat|strong="H8082" or lean|strong="H7330", whether there be|strong="H3426" wood|strong="H6086" therein, or not. And be ye of good courage|strong="H2388", and bring|strong="H3947" of the fruit|strong="H6529" of the land|strong="H0776". Now the time|strong="H3117" was the time|strong="H3117" of the firstripe|strong="H1061" grapes|strong="H6025".
21 So they went up|strong="H5927", and searched|strong="H8446" the land|strong="H0776" from the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Zin|strong="H6790" unto Rehob|strong="H7340", as men come|strong="H0935" to Hamath|strong="H2574".
22 And they ascended|strong="H5927" by the south|strong="H5045", and came|strong="H0935" unto Hebron|strong="H2275"; where Ahiman|strong="H0289", Sheshai|strong="H8344", and Talmai|strong="H8526", the children|strong="H3211" of Anak|strong="H6061", were. (Now Hebron|strong="H2275" was built|strong="H1129" seven|strong="H7651" years|strong="H8141" before|strong="H6440" Zoan|strong="H6814" in Egypt|strong="H4714".)
23 And they came|strong="H0935" unto the brook|strong="H5158" of Eshcol|strong="H0812", and cut down|strong="H3772" from thence a branch|strong="H2156" with one|strong="H0259" cluster|strong="H0811" of grapes|strong="H6025", and they bare|strong="H5375" it between two|strong="H8147" upon a staff|strong="H4132"; and they brought of the pomegranates|strong="H7416", and of the figs|strong="H8384".
24 The place|strong="H4725" was called|strong="H7121" the brook|strong="H5158" Eshcol|strong="H0812", because of|strong="H0182" the cluster of grapes|strong="H0811" which the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" cut down|strong="H3772" from thence.
25 And they returned|strong="H7725" from searching|strong="H8446" of the land|strong="H0776" after|strong="H7093" forty|strong="H0705" days|strong="H3117".
26 And they went|strong="H3212" and came|strong="H0935" to Moses|strong="H4872", and to Aaron|strong="H0175", and to all the congregation|strong="H5712" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", unto the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Paran|strong="H6290", to Kadesh|strong="H6946"; and brought back|strong="H7725" word|strong="H1697" unto them, and unto all the congregation|strong="H5712", and shewed|strong="H7200" them the fruit|strong="H6529" of the land|strong="H0776".
27 And they told|strong="H5608" him, and said|strong="H0559", We came|strong="H0935" unto the land|strong="H0776" whither thou sentest|strong="H7971" us, and surely it floweth|strong="H2100" with milk|strong="H2461" and honey|strong="H1706"; and this is the fruit|strong="H6529" of it.
28 Nevertheless|strong="H0657" the people|strong="H5971" be strong|strong="H5794" that dwell|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776", and the cities|strong="H5892" are walled|strong="H1219", and very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H1419": and moreover we saw|strong="H7200" the children|strong="H3211" of Anak|strong="H6061" there.
29 The Amalekites|strong="H6002" dwell|strong="H3427" in the land|strong="H0776" of the south|strong="H5045": and the Hittites|strong="H2850", and the Jebusites|strong="H2983", and the Amorites|strong="H0567", dwell|strong="H3427" in the mountains|strong="H2022": and the Canaanites|strong="H3669" dwell|strong="H3427" by the sea|strong="H3220", and by the coast|strong="H3027" of Jordan|strong="H3383".
30 And Caleb|strong="H3612" stilled|strong="H2013" the people|strong="H5971" before Moses|strong="H4872", and said|strong="H0559", Let us go up|strong="H5927" at once|strong="H5927", and possess|strong="H3423" it; for we are well able|strong="H3201" to overcome|strong="H3201" it.
31 But the men|strong="H0582" that went up|strong="H5927" with him said|strong="H0559", We be not able|strong="H3201" to go up|strong="H5927" against the people|strong="H5971"; for they are stronger|strong="H2389" than we.
32 And they brought up|strong="H3318" an evil report|strong="H1681" of the land|strong="H0776" which they had searched|strong="H8446" unto the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", saying|strong="H0559", The land|strong="H0776", through which we have gone|strong="H5674" to search|strong="H8446" it, is a land|strong="H0776" that eateth up|strong="H0398" the inhabitants|strong="H3427" thereof; and all the people|strong="H5971" that we saw|strong="H7200" in it|strong="H8432" are men|strong="H0582" of a great stature|strong="H4060".
33 And there we saw|strong="H7200" the giants|strong="H5303", the sons|strong="H1121" of Anak|strong="H6061", which come of the giants|strong="H5303": and we were in our own sight|strong="H5869" as grasshoppers|strong="H2284", and so we were in their sight|strong="H5869".
