Marcos 6

ENG-KJV2006

And|strong="G2532" he went out|strong="G1831" from thence|strong="G1564", and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" his own|strong="G0846" country|strong="G3968"; and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" follow|strong="G0190" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" when the sabbath day|strong="G4521" was come|strong="G1096", he began|strong="G0756" to teach|strong="G1321" in|strong="G1722" the synagogue|strong="G4864": and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" hearing|strong="G0191" him were astonished|strong="G1605", saying|strong="G3004", From whence|strong="G4159" hath this|strong="G5129" man these things|strong="G5023"? and|strong="G2532" what|strong="G5101" wisdom|strong="G4678" is this which|strong="G3588" is given|strong="G1325" unto him|strong="G0846", that|strong="G3754" even|strong="G2532" such|strong="G5108" mighty works|strong="G1411" are wrought|strong="G1096" by|strong="G1223" his|strong="G0846" hands|strong="G5495"?

Is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" this|strong="G3778" the carpenter|strong="G5045", the son|strong="G5207" of Mary|strong="G3137", the brother|strong="G0080" of James|strong="G2385", and|strong="G2532" Joses|strong="G2499", and|strong="G2532" of Juda|strong="G2455", and|strong="G2532" Simon|strong="G4613"? and|strong="G2532" are|strong="G1526" not|strong="G3756" his|strong="G0846" sisters|strong="G0079" here|strong="G5602" with|strong="G4314" us|strong="G2248"? And|strong="G2532" they were offended|strong="G4624" at|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846".

But|strong="G1161" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w A prophet|strong="G4396"\+w* \+w is|strong="G2076"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3756"\+w* \+w without honour|strong="G0820"\+w*, \+w but|strong="G1487"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w country|strong="G3968"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w among|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his own kin|strong="G4773"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w his own|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w house|strong="G3614"\+w*.

And|strong="G2532" he could|strong="G1410" there|strong="G1563" do|strong="G4160" no|strong="G3762" mighty work|strong="G1411", save that|strong="G1487" he laid|strong="G2007" his hands|strong="G5495" upon a few|strong="G3641" sick folk|strong="G0732", and healed|strong="G2323" them.

And|strong="G2532" he marvelled|strong="G2296" because|strong="G1223" of their|strong="G0846" unbelief|strong="G0570". And|strong="G2532" he went|strong="G4013" round about|strong="G2945" the villages|strong="G2968", teaching|strong="G1321".

And|strong="G2532" he called|strong="G4341" unto him the twelve|strong="G1427", and|strong="G2532" began|strong="G0756" to send|strong="G0649" them|strong="G0846" forth|strong="G0649" by two|strong="G1417" and two|strong="G1417"; and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" them|strong="G0846" power|strong="G1849" over unclean|strong="G0169" spirits|strong="G4151";

And|strong="G2532" commanded|strong="G3853" them|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" they should take|strong="G0142" nothing|strong="G3367" for|strong="G1519" their journey|strong="G3598", save|strong="G1487" a staff|strong="G4464" only|strong="G3440"; no|strong="G3361" scrip|strong="G4082", no|strong="G3361" bread|strong="G0740", no|strong="G3361" money|strong="G5475" in|strong="G1519" their purse|strong="G2223":

But|strong="G0235" be shod|strong="G5265" with sandals|strong="G4547"; and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" put on|strong="G1746" two|strong="G1417" coats|strong="G5509".

And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w In what place soever|strong="G3699"\+w* \+w ye enter|strong="G1525"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w an house|strong="G3614"\+w*, \+w there|strong="G1563"\+w* \+w abide|strong="G3306"\+w* \+w till|strong="G2193"\+w* \+w ye depart|strong="G1831"\+w* \+w from that place|strong="G1564"\+w*.

\+w And|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w whosoever|strong="G3745"\+w* \+w shall|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w receive|strong="G1209"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5209"\+w*, \+w nor|strong="G3366"\+w* \+w hear|strong="G0191"\+w* \+w you|strong="G5216"\+w*, \+w when ye depart|strong="G1607"\+w* \+w thence|strong="G1564"\+w*, \+w shake off|strong="G1621"\+w* \+w the dust|strong="G5522"\+w* \+w under|strong="G5270"\+w* \+w your|strong="G5216"\+w* \+w feet|strong="G4228"\+w* \+w for|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w a testimony|strong="G3142"\+w* \+w against them|strong="G0846"\+w*. \+w Verily|strong="G0281"\+w* \+w I say|strong="G3004"\+w* \+w unto you|strong="G5213"\+w*, \+w It shall be|strong="G2071"\+w* \+w more tolerable|strong="G0414"\+w* \+w for Sodom|strong="G4670"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w Gomorrha|strong="G1116"\+w* \+w in|strong="G1722"\+w* \+w the day|strong="G2250"\+w* \+w of judgment|strong="G2920"\+w*, \+w than|strong="G2228"\+w* \+w for that|strong="G1565"\+w* \+w city|strong="G4172"\+w*.

And|strong="G2532" they went out|strong="G1831", and preached|strong="G2784" that|strong="G2443" men should repent|strong="G3340".

And|strong="G2532" they cast out|strong="G1544" many|strong="G4183" devils|strong="G1140", and|strong="G2532" anointed|strong="G0218" with oil|strong="G1637" many|strong="G4183" that were sick|strong="G0732", and|strong="G2532" healed|strong="G2323" them.

And|strong="G2532" king|strong="G0935" Herod|strong="G2264" heard|strong="G0191" of him; (for|strong="G1063" his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686" was|strong="G1096" spread abroad|strong="G5318":) and|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G3004", That|strong="G3754" John|strong="G2491" the Baptist|strong="G0907" was risen|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498", and|strong="G2532" therefore|strong="G1223" mighty|strong="G1411" works do shew forth themselves|strong="G1754" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846".

Others|strong="G0243" said|strong="G3004", That|strong="G3754" it is|strong="G2076" Elias|strong="G2243". And|strong="G1161" others|strong="G0243" said|strong="G3004", That|strong="G3754" it is|strong="G2076" a prophet|strong="G4396", or|strong="G2228" as|strong="G5613" one|strong="G1520" of the prophets|strong="G4396".

But|strong="G1161" when Herod|strong="G2264" heard|strong="G0191" thereof, he said|strong="G2036", It|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" John|strong="G2491", whom|strong="G3739" I|strong="G1473" beheaded|strong="G0607": he|strong="G0846" is risen|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498".

For|strong="G1063" Herod|strong="G2264" himself|strong="G0846" had sent forth|strong="G0649" and laid hold|strong="G2902" upon John|strong="G2491", and|strong="G2532" bound|strong="G1210" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" prison|strong="G5438" for|strong="G1223" Herodias’ sake|strong="G2266", his|strong="G0846" brother|strong="G0080" Philip’s|strong="G5376" wife|strong="G1135": for|strong="G3754" he had married|strong="G1060" her|strong="G0846".

For|strong="G1063" John|strong="G2491" had said|strong="G3004" unto Herod|strong="G2264", It is|strong="G1832" not|strong="G3756" lawful|strong="G1832" for thee|strong="G4671" to have|strong="G2192" thy|strong="G4675" brother’s|strong="G0080" wife|strong="G1135".

Therefore|strong="G1161" Herodias|strong="G2266" had a quarrel|strong="G1758" against him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" would|strong="G2309" have killed|strong="G0615" him|strong="G0846"; but|strong="G2532" she could|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756":

For|strong="G1063" Herod|strong="G2264" feared|strong="G5399" John|strong="G2491", knowing|strong="G1492" that he|strong="G0846" was a just|strong="G1342" man|strong="G0435" and|strong="G2532" an holy|strong="G0040", and|strong="G2532" observed|strong="G4933" him|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" when he heard|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846", he did|strong="G4160" many things|strong="G4183", and|strong="G2532" heard|strong="G0191" him|strong="G0846" gladly|strong="G2234".

And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G3753" a convenient|strong="G2121" day|strong="G2250" was come|strong="G1096", that Herod|strong="G2264" on his|strong="G0846" birthday|strong="G1077" made|strong="G4160" a supper|strong="G1173" to his|strong="G0846" lords|strong="G3175", high captains|strong="G5506", and|strong="G2532" chief|strong="G4413" estates of Galilee|strong="G1056";

And|strong="G2532" when the daughter|strong="G2364" of the said|strong="G0846" Herodias|strong="G2266" came in|strong="G1525", and|strong="G2532" danced|strong="G3738", and|strong="G2532" pleased|strong="G0700" Herod|strong="G2264" and|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" that sat with him|strong="G4873", the king|strong="G0935" said|strong="G2036" unto the damsel|strong="G2877", Ask|strong="G0154" of me|strong="G3165" whatsoever|strong="G3739" thou wilt|strong="G2309", and|strong="G2532" I will give|strong="G1325" it thee|strong="G4671".

And|strong="G2532" he sware|strong="G3660" unto her|strong="G0846", Whatsoever|strong="G3739" thou shalt ask|strong="G0154" of me|strong="G3165", I will give|strong="G1325" it thee|strong="G4671", unto|strong="G2193" the half|strong="G2255" of my|strong="G3450" kingdom|strong="G0932".

And|strong="G1161" she went forth|strong="G1831", and said|strong="G2036" unto her|strong="G0846" mother|strong="G3384", What|strong="G5101" shall I ask|strong="G0154"? And|strong="G1161" she said|strong="G2036", The head|strong="G2776" of John|strong="G2491" the Baptist|strong="G0910".

And|strong="G2532" she came in|strong="G1525" straightway|strong="G2112" with|strong="G3326" haste|strong="G4710" unto|strong="G4314" the king|strong="G0935", and asked|strong="G0154", saying|strong="G3004", I will|strong="G2309" that|strong="G2443" thou give|strong="G1325" me|strong="G3427" by and by|strong="G1824" in|strong="G1909" a charger|strong="G4094" the head|strong="G2776" of John|strong="G2491" the Baptist|strong="G0910".

And|strong="G2532" the king|strong="G0935" was|strong="G1096" exceeding sorry|strong="G4036"; yet for|strong="G1223" his oath’s sake|strong="G3727", and|strong="G2532" for their sakes which|strong="G3588" sat with him|strong="G4873", he would|strong="G2309" not|strong="G3756" reject|strong="G0114" her|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G2112" the king|strong="G0935" sent|strong="G0649" an executioner|strong="G4688", and commanded|strong="G2004" his|strong="G0846" head|strong="G2776" to be brought|strong="G5342": and|strong="G1161" he went|strong="G0565" and beheaded|strong="G0607" him|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" the prison|strong="G5438",

And|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G5342" his|strong="G0846" head|strong="G2776" in|strong="G1909" a charger|strong="G4094", and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" it|strong="G0846" to the damsel|strong="G2877": and|strong="G2532" the damsel|strong="G2877" gave|strong="G1325" it|strong="G0846" to her|strong="G0846" mother|strong="G3384".

And|strong="G2532" when his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" heard|strong="G0191" of it, they came|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" took up|strong="G0142" his|strong="G0846" corpse|strong="G4430", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G5087" it|strong="G0846" in|strong="G1722" a tomb|strong="G3419".

And|strong="G2532" the apostles|strong="G0652" gathered themselves together|strong="G4863" unto|strong="G4314" Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" told|strong="G0518" him|strong="G0846" all things|strong="G3956", both|strong="G2532" what|strong="G3745" they had done|strong="G4160", and|strong="G2532" what|strong="G3745" they had taught|strong="G1321".

And|strong="G2532" he said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Come|strong="G1205"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w yourselves|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w apart|strong="G2596"\+w* \+w into|strong="G1519"\+w* \+w a desert|strong="G2048"\+w* \+w place|strong="G5117"\+w*, \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w rest|strong="G0373"\+w* \+w a while|strong="G3641"\+w*: for|strong="G1063" there were|strong="G2258" many|strong="G4183" coming|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" going|strong="G5217", and|strong="G2532" they had|strong="G2119" no|strong="G3761" leisure|strong="G2119" so much as to eat|strong="G5315".

And|strong="G2532" they departed|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" a desert|strong="G2048" place|strong="G5117" by ship|strong="G4143" privately|strong="G2398".

And|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G3793" saw|strong="G1492" them|strong="G0846" departing|strong="G5217", and|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" knew|strong="G1921" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" ran|strong="G4936" afoot|strong="G3979" thither|strong="G1563" out|strong="G0575" of all|strong="G3956" cities|strong="G4172", and|strong="G2532" outwent|strong="G4281" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" came together|strong="G4905" unto|strong="G4314" him|strong="G0846".

And|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424", when he came out|strong="G1831", saw|strong="G1492" much|strong="G4183" people|strong="G3793", and|strong="G2532" was moved with compassion|strong="G4697" toward|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846", because|strong="G3754" they were|strong="G2258" as|strong="G5613" sheep|strong="G4263" not|strong="G3361" having|strong="G2192" a shepherd|strong="G4166": and|strong="G2532" he began|strong="G0756" to teach|strong="G1321" them|strong="G0846" many things|strong="G4183".

And|strong="G2532" when the day|strong="G5610" was|strong="G1096" now|strong="G2235" far spent|strong="G4183", his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" came|strong="G4334" unto him|strong="G0846", and said|strong="G3004", This is|strong="G2076" a desert|strong="G2048" place|strong="G5117", and|strong="G2532" now|strong="G2235" the time|strong="G5610" is far passed|strong="G4183":

Send|strong="G0630" them|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0630", that|strong="G2443" they may go|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" the country|strong="G0068" round about|strong="G2945", and|strong="G2532" into the villages|strong="G2968", and buy|strong="G0059" themselves|strong="G1438" bread|strong="G0740": for|strong="G1063" they have|strong="G2192" nothing|strong="G3756" to eat|strong="G5315".

He answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Give|strong="G1325"\+w* \+w ye|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w them|strong="G0846"\+w* \+w to eat|strong="G5315"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" they say|strong="G3004" unto him|strong="G0846", Shall we go|strong="G0565" and buy|strong="G0059" two hundred|strong="G1250" pennyworth|strong="G1220" of bread|strong="G0740", and|strong="G2532" give|strong="G1325" them|strong="G0846" to eat|strong="G5315"?

He saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w How many|strong="G4214"\+w* \+w loaves|strong="G0740"\+w* \+w have ye|strong="G2192"\+w*? \+w go|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w see|strong="G1492"\+w*. And|strong="G2532" when they knew|strong="G1097", they say|strong="G3004", Five|strong="G4002", and|strong="G2532" two|strong="G1417" fishes|strong="G2486".

And|strong="G2532" he commanded|strong="G2004" them|strong="G0846" to make|strong="G0347" all|strong="G3956" sit down|strong="G0347" by companies|strong="G4849" upon|strong="G1909" the green|strong="G5515" grass|strong="G5528".

And|strong="G2532" they sat down|strong="G0377" in ranks|strong="G4237", by|strong="G0303" hundreds|strong="G1540", and|strong="G2532" by|strong="G0303" fifties|strong="G4004".

And|strong="G2532" when he had taken|strong="G2983" the five|strong="G4002" loaves|strong="G0740" and|strong="G2532" the two|strong="G1417" fishes|strong="G2486", he looked|strong="G0308" up to|strong="G1519" heaven|strong="G3772", and|strong="G2532" blessed|strong="G2127", and brake|strong="G2622" the loaves|strong="G0740", and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" them to his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" to|strong="G2443" set before|strong="G3908" them|strong="G0846"; and|strong="G2532" the two|strong="G1417" fishes|strong="G2486" divided he among|strong="G3307" them all|strong="G3956".

And|strong="G2532" they did|strong="G5315" all|strong="G3956" eat|strong="G5315", and|strong="G2532" were filled|strong="G5526".

And|strong="G2532" they took up|strong="G0142" twelve|strong="G1427" baskets|strong="G2894" full|strong="G4134" of the fragments|strong="G2801", and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G0575" the fishes|strong="G2486".

And|strong="G2532" they that|strong="G3588" did eat|strong="G5315" of the loaves|strong="G0740" were|strong="G2258" about|strong="G5616" five thousand|strong="G4000" men|strong="G0435".

And|strong="G2532" straightway|strong="G2112" he constrained|strong="G0315" his|strong="G0846" disciples|strong="G3101" to get|strong="G1684" into|strong="G1519" the ship|strong="G4143", and|strong="G2532" to go|strong="G4254" to|strong="G1519" the other side|strong="G4008" before unto|strong="G4314" Bethsaida|strong="G0966", while|strong="G2193" he|strong="G0846" sent away|strong="G0630" the people|strong="G3793".

And|strong="G2532" when he had sent|strong="G0657" them|strong="G0846" away|strong="G0657", he departed|strong="G0565" into|strong="G1519" a mountain|strong="G3735" to pray|strong="G4336".

And|strong="G2532" when even|strong="G3798" was come|strong="G1096", the ship|strong="G4143" was|strong="G2258" in|strong="G1722" the midst|strong="G3319" of the sea|strong="G2281", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G0846" alone|strong="G3441" on|strong="G1909" the land|strong="G1093".

And|strong="G2532" he saw|strong="G1492" them|strong="G0846" toiling|strong="G0928" in|strong="G1722" rowing|strong="G1643"; for|strong="G1063" the wind|strong="G0417" was|strong="G2258" contrary|strong="G1727" unto them|strong="G0846": and|strong="G2532" about|strong="G4012" the fourth|strong="G5067" watch|strong="G5438" of the night|strong="G3571" he cometh|strong="G2064" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", walking|strong="G4043" upon|strong="G1909" the sea|strong="G2281", and|strong="G2532" would have|strong="G2309" passed by|strong="G3928" them|strong="G0846".

But|strong="G1161" when they saw|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846" walking|strong="G4043" upon|strong="G1909" the sea|strong="G2281", they supposed|strong="G1380" it had been|strong="G1511" a spirit|strong="G5326", and|strong="G2532" cried out|strong="G0349":

For|strong="G1063" they|strong="G1492" all|strong="G3956" saw|strong="G1492" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" were troubled|strong="G5015". And|strong="G2532" immediately|strong="G2112" he talked|strong="G2980" with|strong="G3326" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto them|strong="G0846", \+w Be of good cheer|strong="G2293"\+w*: \+w it is|strong="G1510"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w*; \+w be|strong="G5399"\+w* \+w not|strong="G3361"\+w* \+w afraid|strong="G5399"\+w*.

And|strong="G2532" he went up|strong="G0305" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846" into|strong="G1519" the ship|strong="G4143"; and|strong="G2532" the wind|strong="G0417" ceased|strong="G2869": and|strong="G2532" they were sore|strong="G3029" amazed|strong="G1839" in|strong="G1722" themselves|strong="G1438" beyond|strong="G1537" measure|strong="G4053", and|strong="G2532" wondered|strong="G2296".

For|strong="G1063" they considered|strong="G4920" not|strong="G3756" the miracle of|strong="G1909" the loaves|strong="G0740": for|strong="G1063" their|strong="G0846" heart|strong="G2588" was|strong="G2258" hardened|strong="G4456".

And|strong="G2532" when they had passed over|strong="G1276", they came|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1909" the land|strong="G1093" of Gennesaret|strong="G1082", and|strong="G2532" drew to the shore|strong="G4358".

And|strong="G2532" when they|strong="G0846" were come out|strong="G1831" of|strong="G1537" the ship|strong="G4143", straightway|strong="G2112" they knew|strong="G1921" him|strong="G0846",

And ran through|strong="G4063" that|strong="G1565" whole|strong="G3650" region round about|strong="G4066", and began|strong="G0756" to carry about|strong="G4064" in|strong="G1909" beds|strong="G2895" those that|strong="G3588" were|strong="G2192" sick|strong="G2560", where|strong="G3699" they heard|strong="G0191" he was|strong="G2076".

And|strong="G2532" whithersoever|strong="G3699" he entered|strong="G1531", into|strong="G1519" villages|strong="G2968", or|strong="G2228" cities|strong="G4172", or|strong="G2228" country|strong="G0068", they laid|strong="G5087" the sick|strong="G0770" in|strong="G1722" the streets|strong="G0058", and|strong="G2532" besought|strong="G3870" him|strong="G0846" that|strong="G2443" they might touch|strong="G0680" if it were but|strong="G2579" the border|strong="G2899" of his|strong="G0846" garment|strong="G2440": and|strong="G2532" as many as|strong="G3745" touched|strong="G0680" him|strong="G0846" were made whole|strong="G4982".
