1 In the first|strong="H2298" year|strong="H8140" of Belshazzar|strong="H1113" king|strong="H4430" of Babylon|strong="H0895" Daniel|strong="H1841" had|strong="H2370" a dream|strong="H2493" and visions|strong="H2376" of his head|strong="H7217" upon|strong="H5922" his bed|strong="H4903": then|strong="H0116" he wrote|strong="H3790" the dream|strong="H2493", and told|strong="H0560" the sum|strong="H7217" of the matters|strong="H4406".
2 Daniel|strong="H1841" spake|strong="H6032" and said|strong="H0560", I saw|strong="H2370" in my vision|strong="H2376" by|strong="H5974" night|strong="H3916", and, behold|strong="H0718", the four|strong="H0703" winds|strong="H7308" of the heaven|strong="H8065" strove|strong="H1519" upon the great|strong="H7229" sea|strong="H3221".
3 And four|strong="H0703" great|strong="H7260" beasts|strong="H2423" came up|strong="H5559" from|strong="H4481" the sea|strong="H3221", diverse|strong="H8133" one|strong="H1668" from|strong="H4481" another|strong="H1668".
4 The first|strong="H6933" was like a lion|strong="H0744", and had eagle’s|strong="H5403" wings|strong="H1611": I beheld|strong="H1934" till|strong="H5705" the wings|strong="H1611" thereof were plucked|strong="H4804", and it was lifted up|strong="H5191" from|strong="H4481" the earth|strong="H0772", and made stand|strong="H6966" upon|strong="H5922" the feet|strong="H7271" as a man|strong="H0606", and a man’s|strong="H0606" heart|strong="H3825" was given|strong="H3052" to it.
5 And behold|strong="H0718" another|strong="H0317" beast|strong="H2423", a second|strong="H8578", like|strong="H1821" to a bear|strong="H1678", and it raised up|strong="H6966" itself on one|strong="H2298" side|strong="H7859", and it had three|strong="H8532" ribs|strong="H5967" in the mouth|strong="H6433" of it between|strong="H0997" the teeth|strong="H8128" of it: and they said|strong="H0560" thus|strong="H3652" unto it, Arise|strong="H6966", devour|strong="H0399" much|strong="H7690" flesh|strong="H1321".
6 After|strong="H0870" this|strong="H1836" I beheld|strong="H1934", and lo|strong="H0718" another|strong="H0317", like a leopard|strong="H5245", which had upon|strong="H5922" the back|strong="H1355" of it four|strong="H0703" wings|strong="H1611" of a fowl|strong="H5776"; the beast|strong="H2423" had also four|strong="H0703" heads|strong="H7217"; and dominion|strong="H7985" was given|strong="H3052" to it.
7 After|strong="H0870" this|strong="H1836" I saw|strong="H1934" in the night|strong="H3916" visions|strong="H2376", and behold|strong="H0718" a fourth|strong="H7244" beast|strong="H2423", dreadful|strong="H1763" and terrible|strong="H0574", and strong|strong="H8624" exceedingly|strong="H3493"; and it had great|strong="H7260" iron|strong="H6523" teeth|strong="H8128": it devoured|strong="H0399" and brake in pieces|strong="H1855", and stamped|strong="H7512" the residue|strong="H7606" with the feet|strong="H7271" of it: and it|strong="H1932" was diverse|strong="H8133" from|strong="H4481" all|strong="H3606" the beasts|strong="H2423" that were before|strong="H6925" it; and it had ten|strong="H6236" horns|strong="H7162".
8 I considered|strong="H1934" the horns|strong="H7162", and, behold|strong="H0431", there came up|strong="H5559" among|strong="H0997" them another|strong="H0317" little|strong="H2192" horn|strong="H7162", before|strong="H6925" whom there were three|strong="H8532" of|strong="H4481" the first|strong="H6933" horns|strong="H7162" plucked up by the roots|strong="H6132": and, behold|strong="H0431", in this|strong="H1668" horn|strong="H7162" were eyes|strong="H5870" like the eyes|strong="H5870" of man|strong="H0606", and a mouth|strong="H6433" speaking|strong="H4449" great things|strong="H7260".
9 I beheld|strong="H1934" till|strong="H5705" the thrones|strong="H3764" were cast down|strong="H7412", and the Ancient|strong="H6268" of days|strong="H3118" did sit|strong="H3488", whose garment|strong="H3831" was white|strong="H2358" as snow|strong="H8517", and the hair|strong="H8177" of his head|strong="H7217" like the pure|strong="H5343" wool|strong="H6015": his throne|strong="H3764" was like the fiery|strong="H5135" flame|strong="H7631", and his wheels|strong="H1535" as burning|strong="H1815" fire|strong="H5135".
10 A fiery|strong="H5135" stream|strong="H5103" issued|strong="H5047" and came forth|strong="H5312" from|strong="H4481" before|strong="H6925" him: thousand|strong="H0506" thousands|strong="H0506" ministered|strong="H8120" unto him, and ten thousand|strong="H7240" times ten thousand|strong="H7240" stood|strong="H6966" before|strong="H6925" him: the judgment|strong="H1780" was set|strong="H3488", and the books|strong="H5609" were opened|strong="H6606".
11 I beheld|strong="H1934" then|strong="H0116" because|strong="H4481" of the voice|strong="H7032" of the great|strong="H7260" words|strong="H4406" which the horn|strong="H7162" spake|strong="H4449": I beheld|strong="H1934" even till|strong="H5705" the beast|strong="H2423" was slain|strong="H6992", and his body|strong="H1655" destroyed|strong="H0007", and given|strong="H3052" to the burning|strong="H3346" flame|strong="H0785".
12 As concerning the rest|strong="H7606" of the beasts|strong="H2423", they had their dominion|strong="H7985" taken away|strong="H5709": yet their lives|strong="H2417" were prolonged|strong="H3052" for|strong="H5705" a season|strong="H2166" and time|strong="H5732".
13 I saw|strong="H1934" in the night|strong="H3916" visions|strong="H2376", and, behold|strong="H0718", one like the Son|strong="H1247" of man|strong="H0606" came|strong="H0858" with|strong="H5974" the clouds|strong="H6050" of heaven|strong="H8065", and came|strong="H4291" to|strong="H5705" the Ancient|strong="H6268" of days|strong="H3118", and they brought him near|strong="H7127" before|strong="H6925" him.
14 And there was given|strong="H3052" him dominion|strong="H7985", and glory|strong="H3367", and a kingdom|strong="H4437", that all|strong="H3606" people|strong="H5972", nations|strong="H0524", and languages|strong="H3961", should serve|strong="H6399" him: his dominion|strong="H7985" is an everlasting|strong="H5957" dominion|strong="H7985", which shall not|strong="H3809" pass away|strong="H5709", and his kingdom|strong="H4437" that which shall not|strong="H3809" be destroyed|strong="H2255".
15 I|strong="H0576" Daniel|strong="H1841" was grieved|strong="H3735" in my spirit|strong="H7308" in the midst|strong="H1459" of my body|strong="H5085", and the visions|strong="H2376" of my head|strong="H7217" troubled|strong="H0927" me.
16 I came near|strong="H7127" unto|strong="H5922" one|strong="H2298" of|strong="H4481" them that stood by|strong="H6966", and asked|strong="H1156" him|strong="H4481" the truth|strong="H3330" of all|strong="H3606" this|strong="H1836". So he told|strong="H0560" me, and made me know|strong="H3046" the interpretation|strong="H6591" of the things|strong="H4406".
17 These|strong="H0459" great|strong="H7260" beasts|strong="H2423", which|strong="H0581" are four|strong="H0703", are four|strong="H0703" kings|strong="H4430", which shall arise|strong="H6966" out of|strong="H4481" the earth|strong="H0772".
18 But the saints|strong="H6922" of the most High|strong="H5946" shall take|strong="H6902" the kingdom|strong="H4437", and possess|strong="H2631" the kingdom|strong="H4437" for|strong="H5705" ever|strong="H5957", even for|strong="H5705" ever|strong="H5957" and ever|strong="H5957".
19 Then|strong="H0116" I would|strong="H6634" know the truth|strong="H3321" of|strong="H5922" the fourth|strong="H7244" beast|strong="H2423", which was|strong="H1934" diverse|strong="H8133" from|strong="H4481" all|strong="H3606" the others, exceeding|strong="H3493" dreadful|strong="H1763", whose teeth|strong="H8128" were of iron|strong="H6523", and his nails|strong="H2953" of brass|strong="H5174"; which devoured|strong="H0399", brake in pieces|strong="H1855", and stamped|strong="H7512" the residue|strong="H7606" with his feet|strong="H7271";
20 And of|strong="H5922" the ten|strong="H6236" horns|strong="H7162" that were in his head|strong="H7217", and of the other|strong="H0317" which came up|strong="H5559", and before|strong="H4481" whom three|strong="H8532" fell|strong="H5308"; even of that horn|strong="H7162" that|strong="H1797" had eyes|strong="H5870", and a mouth|strong="H6433" that spake|strong="H4449" very great things|strong="H7260", whose look|strong="H2376" was more|strong="H4481" stout|strong="H7229" than|strong="H4481" his fellows|strong="H2273".
21 I beheld|strong="H1934", and the same|strong="H1797" horn|strong="H7162" made|strong="H5648" war|strong="H7129" with|strong="H5974" the saints|strong="H6922", and prevailed|strong="H3202" against them;
22 Until|strong="H5705" the Ancient|strong="H6268" of days|strong="H3118" came|strong="H0858", and judgment|strong="H1780" was given|strong="H3052" to the saints|strong="H6922" of the most High|strong="H5946"; and the time|strong="H2166" came|strong="H4291" that the saints|strong="H6922" possessed|strong="H2631" the kingdom|strong="H4437".
23 Thus|strong="H3652" he said|strong="H0560", The fourth|strong="H7244" beast|strong="H2423" shall be|strong="H1934" the fourth|strong="H7244" kingdom|strong="H4437" upon earth|strong="H0772", which shall be diverse|strong="H8133" from|strong="H4481" all|strong="H3606" kingdoms|strong="H4437", and shall devour|strong="H0399" the whole|strong="H3606" earth|strong="H0772", and shall tread it down|strong="H1759", and break it in pieces|strong="H1855".
24 And the ten|strong="H6236" horns|strong="H7162" out of|strong="H4481" this kingdom|strong="H4437" are ten|strong="H6236" kings|strong="H4430" that shall arise|strong="H6966": and another|strong="H0321" shall rise|strong="H6966" after|strong="H0311" them; and he shall be diverse|strong="H8133" from|strong="H4481" the first|strong="H6933", and he shall subdue|strong="H8214" three|strong="H8532" kings|strong="H4430".
25 And he shall speak|strong="H4449" great words|strong="H4406" against|strong="H6655" the most High|strong="H5943", and shall wear out|strong="H1080" the saints|strong="H6922" of the most High|strong="H5946", and think|strong="H5452" to change|strong="H8133" times|strong="H2166" and laws|strong="H1882": and they shall be given|strong="H3052" into his hand|strong="H3028" until|strong="H5705" a time|strong="H5732" and times|strong="H5732" and the dividing|strong="H6387" of time|strong="H5732".
26 But the judgment|strong="H1780" shall sit|strong="H3488", and they shall take away|strong="H5709" his dominion|strong="H7985", to consume|strong="H8046" and to destroy|strong="H0007" it unto|strong="H5705" the end|strong="H5491".
27 And the kingdom|strong="H4437" and dominion|strong="H7985", and the greatness|strong="H7238" of the kingdom|strong="H4437" under|strong="H8460" the whole|strong="H3606" heaven|strong="H8065", shall be given|strong="H3052" to the people|strong="H5972" of the saints|strong="H6922" of the most High|strong="H5946", whose kingdom|strong="H4437" is an everlasting|strong="H5957" kingdom|strong="H4437", and all|strong="H3606" dominions|strong="H7985" shall serve|strong="H6399" and obey|strong="H8086" him.
28 Hitherto|strong="H5705" is the end|strong="H5491" of the matter|strong="H4406". As for me|strong="H0576" Daniel|strong="H1841", my cogitations|strong="H7476" much|strong="H7690" troubled|strong="H0927" me, and my countenance|strong="H2122" changed|strong="H8133" in me|strong="H5922": but I kept|strong="H5202" the matter|strong="H4406" in my heart|strong="H3821".
