¹ Senhor, não me castigues na tua ira nem me disciplines no teu furor.

² O Lord, rebuke me not in thy indignation, nor chastise me in thy wrath.

² Misericórdia, Senhor, pois vou desfalecendo! Cura-me, Senhor, pois os meus ossos tremem:

³ Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

³ Todo o meu ser estremece. Até quando, Senhor, até quando?

⁴ And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?

⁴ Volta-te, Senhor, e livra-me; salva-me por causa do teu amor leal.

⁵ Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.

⁵ Quem morreu não se lembra de ti. Entre os mortos, quem te louvará?

⁶ For there is no one in death, that is mindful of thee: and who shall confess to thee in hell?

⁶ Estou exausto de tanto gemer. De tanto chorar inundo de noite a minha cama; de lágrimas encharco o meu leito.

⁷ I have laboured in my groanings, every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears.

⁷ Os meus olhos se consomem de tristeza; fraquejam por causa de todos os meus adversários.

⁸ My eye is troubled through indignation: I have grown old amongst all my enemies.

⁸ Afastem-se de mim todos vocês que praticam o mal, porque o Senhor ouviu o meu choro.

⁹ Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity: for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

⁹ O Senhor ouviu a minha súplica; o Senhor aceitou a minha oração.

¹⁰ The Lord hath heard my supplication: the Lord hath received my prayer.

¹⁰ Serão humilhados e aterrorizados todos os meus inimigos; frustrados, recuarão de repente.

¹¹ Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be very much troubled: let them be turned back, and be ashamed very speedily.
