1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ti uñil-guboŋ, jiraf míi mamu mútut mamu maa Firim fafu fal Aláemit, mamu, ᵽan jiak ban n’jiyab gaᵽah.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Maagen mamu, Bahiĉer babu buoge : « Jijagene, ban jujuge búoh Ataw násusum. »
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Kan ñer julofol, aĉila aamme ébirih yay yaroŋ me, yo bugan bugagu gujunden me ; bare Aláemit, o, najuh búoh éjahojahor min aĉob yo.

5 Jújoul mbal aĉila, ban buru may ᵽan jíni síbirih sarondoŋ. Jihat Aláemit min aŋarul nateᵽ gávi dó Biinum Banabe bujae eĉin. Ᵽan iki jikan dó gayoŋ gal uteŋena ganabe gáᵽunni jolil bi mala Aláemit. Aĉila ᵽan nihi jikan me úteŋen wásumol, dó ᵽe mala Yésu Kirista.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Maagen mamu, ni Bahiĉer babu faŋabo Aláemit naage :
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Bi ni buru jáinen me, ébirih yauyu kakan ébirih yabaje hámma yámah. Bare bi ni bugagu gáinenut me, yo yuomme
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 manur mamu yo yuomme ᵽoᵽ
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Bare buru ésuh jom yo Aláemit aĉobe, gayoŋ gal uteŋena bugal Aví ; buru ésuh jom yanabe, yo Aláemit aliᵽoroe ban néni yola. Yo eĉil me juote jigiten bakaner babu bájalo mee bal An ahu áᵽunnulul me n’emoĉ bi ni gajaŋaol gáari mee.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Naanaŋ, buru jilelen ésuh yay yal Aláemit, bare maer buganol jom. No, Aláemit arumenutul enil, bare maer narumul enil.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Gutiom bugo níbboli me, ínje umu n’elaul waf wauwe, buru jaamme úuya ban ᵽoᵽ n’jíni ejaora ni mof me : jitey gaija gagu go gániul gal arafuhow gumaŋ me, gaamme n’etigen sinilul.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Juroŋ buroŋ báarie ni bugan bugagu gaffasut me Aláemit ; mamu, hani gulobe maarat guya ni buru min guoh buru ukana-maarat jom, bare bae ᵽan gujuh bakanerul báari mee, ban ñer ᵽan gusal Aláemit funah fafu no najae me éjoul.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Júttun fufane fánofan fo bugan bugagu gurobene, dó ᵽe mala Ataw : an áni me ávi, n’jíkanumol, mata aĉila aamme afan ahu ámah ahu ala bugan bugagu ᵽe ;

14 úvulaol, jíkanumil ᵽoᵽ, mata aĉila nah’aboñil guteh bugan bugagu gakane me maarat ban ni guruhen bugagu gakane me maaro.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Maagen mamu, wo Aláemit amaŋ me, wo uomme jikan maaro min mbi bugan bugagu gasoŋet me ban guffasut wáfowaf gupeh utumil.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Juroŋ ti bugan galet umigel, bare elet umigel yauyu jamb’éni bi ni buru bulago bal ekan maarat : juroŋ ti umigel bugal Aláemit.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Jíkanum bugan bugagu ᵽe. Júbboli gutiul bugo jugum me gáinen ganur. Jimigelet Aláemit ban ni jíkanum an ahu aamme ávi.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Buru jaamme uroka bugaa ni saŋ, juote júttun ufanul ni gákanum dó. Let bugagu gásum me ni buru bare juote júttun, bare ᵽoᵽ bugagu gátañi me ni buru.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Maagen mamu, mala gákanum Aláemit, wáriari emuten sílam so nubaje, so gukani ni jibijil ró.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ban fumandor fay ᵽan jimandor bugo bategerul mala gatil go jitile ? Bare íni me ban jílam mata búoh maaro jikane, ban n’jumuten sílam sausu ti maagen, dáru waf waaro bújoŋor Aláemit.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Aláemit mala ró navogul, mata Kirista faŋaol nálalam molul, ban nagitenulgiten bulago babu min mbi júju jilagen uhagol.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Bajut gatil go natile, ban ᵽoᵽ jibij jánojan júᵽullat ni butumol.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 No gujeleol me, alugenut, no gúlatienol me, alobut táñi, bare til nahahat ᵽee ni guñen Aláemit o nah’ataliŋ me ĉol.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Ban aĉila faŋaol natebe utilolal n’enilol no naĉet me n’ekurua yay ; mamu, ubbañutal ubajal fugab n’util waw, ban nújuale ñer uroŋal buroŋ baĉole. Ni susolaol may buru jíyabum me gahoy.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Maagen, jíniene ti ubbarum wallilim, bare maer jibbanno bi n’akoña ahu aamme may apoyaul.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
