2 “Ordénales a|strong="H3068" los|strong="H3427" israelitas que|strong="H1121", de|strong="H1121" las tierras que|strong="H1121" reciban como herencia|strong="H5159", les|strong="H6680" den a|strong="H3068" los|strong="H3427" levitas|strong="H3881" ciudades|strong="H5892" donde vivir, junto con los|strong="H3427" pastizales que|strong="H1121" rodean|strong="H5439" esas ciudades|strong="H5892".
3 Los|strong="H3427" levitas tendrán|strong="H1961" las ciudades|strong="H5892" para|strong="H1961" vivir, y los|strong="H3427" pastizales serán|strong="H1961" para|strong="H1961" su ganado, sus rebaños y todos|strong="H3605" sus animales|strong="H2416".
4 “Los pastizales de|strong="H5414" las ciudades|strong="H5892" que les entreguen a|strong="H3068" los levitas|strong="H3881" se extenderán unos mil codos hacia afuera|strong="H2351", medidos desde|strong="H5439" la muralla de|strong="H5414" la ciudad|strong="H5892" en todas|strong="H5439" direcciones.
5 Fuera|strong="H2351" de la muralla medirán dos mil codos hacia|strong="H5045" el este|strong="H2088", dos mil hacia|strong="H5045" el sur, dos mil hacia|strong="H5045" el oeste y dos mil hacia|strong="H5045" el norte|strong="H6828", dejando a|strong="H3068" la ciudad|strong="H5892" en|strong="H8432" el centro. Así|strong="H2088" serán|strong="H1961" los|strong="H1961" campos de pastoreo para|strong="H1961" sus ciudades|strong="H5892".
6 “De|strong="H5921" las|strong="H5921" ciudades|strong="H5892" que|strong="H5921" les|strong="H5921" entreguen a|strong="H3068" los|strong="H5921" levitas|strong="H3881", seis|strong="H8337" serán ciudades|strong="H5892" de|strong="H5921" refugio, a|strong="H3068" las|strong="H5921" que|strong="H5921" podrá huir cualquier persona que|strong="H5921" haya matado a|strong="H3068" alguien. Además|strong="H5921" de|strong="H5921" esas seis|strong="H8337", les|strong="H5921" darán|strong="H5414" otras cuarenta y|strong="H5921" dos|strong="H8147" ciudades|strong="H5892".
7 En total, le entregarán a|strong="H3068" la|strong="H3605" tribu de|strong="H5414" Leví|strong="H3881" cuarenta y ocho|strong="H8083" ciudades|strong="H5892" con sus respectivos pastizales.
8 Las ciudades|strong="H5892" las tomarán de|strong="H1121" las tierras que|strong="H1121" reciban los|strong="H1121" israelitas; las tribus que|strong="H1121" tengan más|strong="H7227" territorio darán|strong="H5414" más|strong="H7227" ciudades|strong="H5892", y las tribus con menos territorio darán|strong="H5414" menos. Cada tribu dará|strong="H5414" ciudades|strong="H5892" a|strong="H3068" los|strong="H1121" levitas|strong="H3881" en proporción al tamaño de|strong="H1121" su herencia|strong="H5159"”.
9 Yahvé le habló|strong="H1696" a|strong="H3068" Moisés|strong="H4872" y le dijo|strong="H1696":
10 “Diles|strong="H1696" a|strong="H3068" los|strong="H1121" israelitas: ‘Cuando|strong="H3588" crucen el|strong="H3588" río Jordán|strong="H3383" para|strong="H3588" entrar a|strong="H3068" la|strong="H3588" tierra de|strong="H3588" Canaán|strong="H3667",
11 deberán escoger ciudades|strong="H5892" de refugio. Allí|strong="H8033" podrá huir cualquier persona|strong="H5315" que|strong="H1961" haya|strong="H1961" matado a|strong="H3068" alguien accidentalmente.
12 Estas|strong="H5975" ciudades|strong="H5892" le servirán|strong="H1961" de|strong="H6440" refugio para|strong="H5704" escapar del familiar que|strong="H3808" busque vengar la muerte|strong="H4191". Así, el acusado no|strong="H3808" morirá|strong="H4191" sin|strong="H3808" antes|strong="H6440" haber|strong="H1961" sido|strong="H1961" juzgado por|strong="H6440" la comunidad.
13 Las ciudades|strong="H5892" que|strong="H1961" aparten serán|strong="H1961" seis|strong="H8337" ciudades|strong="H5892" de|strong="H5414" refugio.
14 Tres|strong="H7969" de|strong="H5414" ellas estarán|strong="H1961" al este|strong="H1961" del río Jordán|strong="H3383", y las otras tres|strong="H7969" estarán|strong="H1961" en la tierra de|strong="H5414" Canaán|strong="H3667". Esas serán|strong="H1961" las ciudades|strong="H5892" de|strong="H5414" refugio.
15 Estas seis|strong="H8337" ciudades|strong="H5892" servirán|strong="H1961" de|strong="H1121" refugio tanto para|strong="H1961" los|strong="H1121" israelitas como|strong="H1961" para|strong="H1961" los|strong="H1121" extranjeros|strong="H1616" o|strong="H3068" residentes temporales que|strong="H1616" vivan entre|strong="H8432" ustedes. Cualquiera|strong="H3605" que|strong="H1616" mate a|strong="H3068" alguien por|strong="H5127" accidente podrá huir a|strong="H3068" una de|strong="H1121" estas ciudades|strong="H5892".
16 “‘Pero si|strong="H1931" alguien golpea a|strong="H3068" una persona con un objeto de hierro|strong="H1270" y la|strong="H1931" mata|strong="H4191", entonces es|strong="H1931" un asesino, y el|strong="H1931" asesino será|strong="H1931" condenado a|strong="H3068" muerte|strong="H4191".
17 Si|strong="H1931" la|strong="H1931" golpea con una piedra del tamaño suficiente como|strong="H1931" para matar a|strong="H3068" alguien, y la|strong="H1931" persona muere, entonces es|strong="H1931" un asesino, y el|strong="H1931" asesino será|strong="H1931" condenado a|strong="H3068" muerte|strong="H4191".
18 O|strong="H3068" si|strong="H1931" la|strong="H1931" golpea con un palo|strong="H6086" de madera|strong="H6086" del tamaño suficiente como|strong="H1931" para matar a|strong="H3068" alguien, y la|strong="H1931" persona muere, es|strong="H1931" un asesino, y el|strong="H1931" asesino morirá|strong="H4191".
19 El|strong="H1931" familiar encargado de|strong="H1818" vengar la|strong="H1931" sangre|strong="H1818" matará|strong="H4191" al asesino; cuando lo|strong="H1931" encuentre, lo|strong="H1931" matará|strong="H4191".
20 Si|strong="H5921" lo|strong="H5921" empujó con|strong="H5921" malicia, o|strong="H3068" si|strong="H5921" se|strong="H5921" escondió y|strong="H5921" le|strong="H5921" arrojó un objeto con|strong="H5921" la|strong="H5921" intención de|strong="H5921" matarlo|strong="H4191",
21 o|strong="H3068" si|strong="H1931" le|strong="H1931" pegó con los|strong="H1931" puños por|strong="H3027" pura enemistad y lo|strong="H1931" mató|strong="H5221", entonces el|strong="H1931" atacante debe morir|strong="H4191", porque es|strong="H1931" un asesino. El|strong="H1931" vengador de|strong="H1818" la|strong="H1931" sangre|strong="H1818" lo|strong="H1931" matará|strong="H4191" en|strong="H5221" cuanto lo|strong="H1931" encuentre.
22 “‘Pero supongamos que|strong="H3808" alguien empuja a|strong="H3068" otro de|strong="H5921" repente, sin|strong="H3808" que|strong="H3808" haya enemistad de|strong="H5921" por|strong="H5921" medio, o|strong="H3068" le|strong="H5921" arroja algún objeto sin|strong="H3808" la|strong="H5921" intención de|strong="H5921" hacerle daño,
23 o|strong="H3068" deja caer|strong="H5307" una piedra lo|strong="H1931" suficientemente grande como|strong="H5921" para|strong="H5921" matar a|strong="H3068" una persona, y|strong="H5921" al|strong="H5921" caer|strong="H5307" la|strong="H1931" mata|strong="H4191", sin|strong="H3808" haberla visto|strong="H7200", sin|strong="H3808" ser su|strong="H1931" enemigo y|strong="H5921" sin|strong="H3808" tener la|strong="H1931" intención de|strong="H5921" lastimarla.
24 En|strong="H5921" esos casos, la|strong="H5921" comunidad deberá juzgar entre|strong="H5921" el|strong="H5921" atacante y|strong="H5921" el|strong="H5921" vengador de|strong="H5921" la|strong="H5921" sangre|strong="H1818", de|strong="H5921" acuerdo a|strong="H3068" estas reglas.
25 La comunidad protegerá a|strong="H3068" la persona acusada de|strong="H5704" homicidio y|strong="H5704" no la entregará al|strong="H5704" vengador de|strong="H5704" la sangre|strong="H1818". La escoltarán de|strong="H5704" regreso a|strong="H3068" la ciudad|strong="H5892" de|strong="H5704" refugio a|strong="H3068" la que|strong="H5704" había huido, y|strong="H5704" allí|strong="H8033" deberá|strong="H4733" quedarse hasta|strong="H5704" que|strong="H5704" muera el|strong="H3427" sumo|strong="H1419" sacerdote|strong="H3548" que|strong="H5704" fue ungido|strong="H4886" con|strong="H5704" el|strong="H3427" aceite|strong="H8081" sagrado|strong="H6944".
26 “‘Pero si el acusado sale|strong="H3318" de los límites de la|strong="H1366" ciudad|strong="H5892" de refugio a|strong="H3068" la|strong="H1366" que huyó|strong="H5127",
27 y el vengador de|strong="H1818" la|strong="H1366" sangre|strong="H1818" lo encuentra fuera|strong="H2351" de|strong="H1818" la|strong="H1366" ciudad|strong="H5892" de|strong="H1818" refugio y lo mata|strong="H7523", el vengador no será culpable de|strong="H1818" asesinato.
28 Porque|strong="H3588" el|strong="H3588" acusado debía haberse quedado dentro de|strong="H3588" la|strong="H3588" ciudad|strong="H5892" de|strong="H3588" refugio hasta|strong="H5704" la|strong="H3588" muerte|strong="H4194" del sumo|strong="H1419" sacerdote|strong="H3548". Solo después|strong="H3427" de|strong="H3588" la|strong="H3588" muerte|strong="H4194" del sumo|strong="H1419" sacerdote|strong="H3548", el|strong="H3588" acusado podrá regresar a|strong="H3068" su|strong="H3588" propia tierra.
29 “‘Estas serán|strong="H1961" las normas legales que|strong="H1961" deberán aplicar en todos|strong="H3605" los|strong="H3605" lugares donde vivan, generación|strong="H1755" tras generación|strong="H1755".
30 “‘Si|strong="H3808" alguien mata|strong="H4191" a|strong="H3068" una persona|strong="H5315", el|strong="H3605" asesino será|strong="H3808" condenado a|strong="H3068" muerte|strong="H4191" únicamente por el|strong="H3605" testimonio|strong="H5707" de varios testigos|strong="H5707". Nadie|strong="H3808" podrá|strong="H3808" ser|strong="H5315" condenado a|strong="H3068" muerte|strong="H4191" por el|strong="H3605" testimonio|strong="H5707" de una sola persona|strong="H5315".
31 “‘No|strong="H3808" se|strong="H1931" aceptará ningún|strong="H3808" rescate|strong="H3724" para|strong="H3588" salvarle la|strong="H1931" vida|strong="H5315" a|strong="H3068" un asesino condenado a|strong="H3068" muerte|strong="H4191". Esa|strong="H1931" persona|strong="H5315" tendrá que|strong="H3588" morir|strong="H4191" irremediablemente.
32 “‘Tampoco|strong="H3808" aceptarán ningún|strong="H3808" rescate|strong="H3724" por|strong="H5704" alguien que|strong="H3808" haya huido a|strong="H3068" una ciudad|strong="H5892" de|strong="H5704" refugio, para|strong="H5704" permitirle regresar a|strong="H3068" vivir a|strong="H3068" su tierra antes|strong="H5704" de|strong="H5704" que|strong="H3808" muera el|strong="H3427" sumo sacerdote|strong="H3548".
33 “‘No|strong="H3808" contaminen la|strong="H1931" tierra donde|strong="H1931" viven, porque|strong="H3588" el|strong="H1931" derramamiento de|strong="H3588" sangre|strong="H1818" contamina la|strong="H1931" tierra. Y|strong="H3068" la|strong="H1931" única manera de|strong="H3588" purificar la|strong="H1931" tierra por|strong="H3588" la|strong="H1931" sangre|strong="H1818" derramada es|strong="H1931" con|strong="H3588" la|strong="H1931" sangre|strong="H1818" del asesino que|strong="H3588" la|strong="H1931" derramó|strong="H8210".
34 Así|strong="H3588" que|strong="H3588" no|strong="H3808" contaminen la|strong="H3588" tierra donde viven, porque|strong="H3588" yo|strong="H3588" también vivo allí; yo|strong="H3588", Yahvé, vivo en|strong="H8432" medio|strong="H8432" de|strong="H3588" los|strong="H3427" hijos|strong="H1121" de|strong="H3588" Israel|strong="H3478"’”.
