2 And|strong="G2532", after|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" fasted|strong="G3522" for|strong="G2532" forty|strong="G5062" days|strong="G2250" and|strong="G2532" forty|strong="G5062" nights|strong="G3571", he|strong="G2532" became|strong="G5306" hungry|strong="G3983".
3 The|strong="G2532" Tempter|strong="G3985" came|strong="G4334" to|strong="G2443" him|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004":

7 ‘\+w Scripture|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w also|strong="G2316"\+w* \+w says|strong="G5346"\+w*,’ answered|strong="G5346" Jesus|strong="G2424",
8 The|strong="G2532" third time, the|strong="G2532" devil|strong="G1228" took|strong="G3880" Jesus|strong="G2532" to|strong="G1519" a|strong="G2532" very|strong="G3029" high|strong="G5308" mountain|strong="G3735", and|strong="G2532", showing him|strong="G3588" all|strong="G3956" the|strong="G2532" kingdoms of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" world|strong="G2889" and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" splendour, said|strong="G2532" to|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588":
9 ‘All|strong="G3956" these|strong="G3778" I|strong="G1473" will|strong="G2532" give|strong="G1325" you|strong="G4771", if|strong="G1437" you|strong="G4771" will|strong="G2532" fall|strong="G4098" at|strong="G2532" my|strong="G3956" feet and|strong="G2532" worship|strong="G4352" me|strong="G1325".’
10 Then|strong="G2532" Jesus|strong="G2424" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588", ‘\+w Go|strong="G5217"\+w* \+w away|strong="G5217"\+w*, \+w Satan|strong="G4567"\+w*! \+w For|strong="G1063"\+w* \+w scripture|strong="G1125"\+w* \+w says|strong="G3004"\+w* –
11 Then|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" devil|strong="G1228" left him|strong="G3588" alone, and|strong="G2532" angels came|strong="G4334" and|strong="G2532" helped him|strong="G3588".
12 When|strong="G1161" Jesus heard that|strong="G3754" John|strong="G2491" had|strong="G3588" been arrested, he|strong="G1161" returned to|strong="G1519" Galilee|strong="G1056".

19 ‘\+w Come|strong="G1205"\+w* \+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w follow|strong="G3694"\+w* \+w me|strong="G1473"\+w*,’ Jesus|strong="G3004" said|strong="G3004", ‘\+w and|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w I|strong="G1473"\+w* \+w will|strong="G2532"\+w* teach \+w you|strong="G5210"\+w* \+w to|strong="G2532"\+w* fish \+w for|strong="G2532"\+w* \+w people|strong="G4160"\+w*.’
20 The|strong="G1161" two men|strong="G3588" left their|strong="G3588" nets|strong="G1350" at|strong="G1161" once and|strong="G1161" followed him|strong="G3588".

24 and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" fame spread|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" through Syria|strong="G4947". They|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G4374" to|strong="G1519" him|strong="G3588" all|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" ill|strong="G2192" with|strong="G2532" any|strong="G3956" form|strong="G3956" of|strong="G2532" disease|strong="G3554", or|strong="G2532" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" suffering|strong="G4912" pain – any|strong="G3956" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" either|strong="G2532" possessed|strong="G2192" by|strong="G2532" demons, or|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" lunatic|strong="G4583", or|strong="G2532" paralysed; and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" cured|strong="G2323" them|strong="G3588".
25 He|strong="G2532" was|strong="G3588" followed by|strong="G2532" large|strong="G4183" crowds|strong="G3793" from|strong="G2532" Galilee|strong="G1056", the|strong="G2532" district of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Ten Towns, Jerusalem|strong="G2414", Judea|strong="G2449", and|strong="G2532" from|strong="G2532" beyond|strong="G4008" the|strong="G2532" Jordan|strong="G2446".
